Felix’s surprise was evident; he made no attempt to conceal his admiration for Tracy. “Ms. Xander, you are truly an outstanding talent among the younger generation. Our discussion has been incredibly insightful. Your company has found a real treasure. If Mr. Zach isn’t treating you well, Kramer Corp would welcome you.”
His words were said in jest, yet they clearly revealed his approval of Tracy and a blatant sense of admiration. Anyone with professional knowledge understood that Tracy’s unique method of analysis was unparalleled.
He suddenly recalled what his professor had said: Z’s programming algorithms were all self–developed. Could it be…
He immediately dismissed the idea. If Tracy were really Z, there was no reason Sam wouldn’t have said so. After all, Vector had benefited the most when Z first rose to prominence four years ago. He felt there was no reason for Sam to conceal Z’s identity, so he must have been overthinking it.
Tracy simply smiled and said nothing. Few people knew she was a shareholder of Vector, and she saw no need to tell everyone.
Sam, standing nearby, joked, “You’re openly trying to poach my talent right in front of me!”
Felix gave an awkward laugh.
Yvonne, approaching with her arm linked with Chandler’s, overheard Felix’s last sentence. She frowned in displeasure. There was no doubt Felix was talking to Tracy. She couldn’t believe Tracy had actually earned Felix’s approval. Could she have picked up a few superficial skills just by being around Sam for so long?
At this thought, Yvonne’s lips curled into a mocking smile. So what if she picked up a few tricks? How can she compare to someone with genuine ability? She knew Tracy was setting herself up for public embarrassment.
Jared walked over to greet the others, who were all people in the business world whom he knew quite well.
Tracy felt an instinctive resistance toward Jared, so she used the excuse of going to the washroom to leave the group.
Watching Tracy walk away, Yvonne was even more convinced that Tracy was afraid of being exposed by more capable people. I knew it. Tracy had never had any exposure to Al before. How could she be so proficient after only just joining Vector? It was impossible. She herself had achieved her success after years of study. Tracy trying to compete with her was simply overestimating her abilities.
Her dislike for Tracy intensified. It’s good that she’s smart enough to know when to hide.
After Chandler greeted Felix, he introduced Yvonne. “This is Yvonne, the Director of Xander Corp’s Technology Department and the core representative of Xander Corp Tech.”
Yvonne extended her hand gracefully, her smile composed. “Hello, I’m Yvonne”
Felix assessed Yvonne. Her smokey–purple dress made her look elegant and aloof, like an arrogant princess. While Yvonne was undeniably stunning, compared to Tracy, she fell short.

“Hello,” Felix said, shaking Yvonne’s hand.
The group quickly launched into professional topics, and Yvonne engaged in fluent conversation with them.
Felix soon realized that not only did Yvonne’s appearance not compare to Tracy’s, but her professional level also fell far short. He recalled that the questions he had posed to Tracy were ones that the many engineers at his company had struggled to solve for a long time. Yet, Tracy had immediately solved the problems and offered valuable advice. Discussing work with Tracy was incredibly easy, and he enjoyed the conversational atmosphere.
In contrast, while Yvonne’s professional level was good, he felt something was lacking. However, if he hadn’t just received Tracy’s advice, he would have found Yvonne truly exceptional.
Indeed, there is no appreciation without comparison. How can someone who has seen the peak appreciate the plains?
Yvonne also noticed the change in Felix’s expression. She asked him uncertainly, “What’s wrong? Are you not satisfied with my answers?”
Felix shook his head. “No, Ms. Xander is very talented. Your professional level is also quite good.”
It’s just that next to Tracy, Yvonne simply doesn’t measure up.
As Tracy emerged from the washroom, Waylon walked past the entrance and they made eye contact.
Tracy smiled and greeted him. “Hello, Mr. Waylon.”
Waylon smiled back. “Hello, Tracy. How are your papers coming along?”
His announcement of the competition was merely a formality to avoid accusations of favoritism. The abilities of the three finalists were beyond question, but he would ultimately only choose one. And that choice was undoubtedly Tracy. After all, at the age of twenty, she had reached an apex that others spend four years chasing.
