He looked down at her, then leaned in, studying her expression.

But at that moment, Albert slipped his arm around her waist.

Sleepiness crept in almost right away.
She didn’t hear the sound of Albert’s car engine starting up as he drove away.
Only then did it dawn on her. ‘Perhaps Albert took my words to heart and didn’t drive the sports car so as not to disturb my rest, Elnora thought.
Just as she was about to drift off, the mattress suddenly dipped beside her.
Elnora’s eyes flew open. Then she saw Albert climbing into bed with her.
Albert caught the look of surprise on her face and let out a low chuckle. “Why the surprised look? It’s not like we haven’t slept together before.”
Elnora rubbed her brow and said flatly, “Albert, you still haven’t shown me your medical report today, so… we can’t do this tonight.”
Albert raised an eyebrow.
‘Ms. Finley, don’t you think you’re being a little over the top? What, you need to see my test results every time I climb into your bed?” he joked.
Elnora nodded, dead serious. “Absolutely. For the sake of our health, a medical check–up report is a must.”
Albert huffed at her laid–back tone. “I’m not sick!”
Elnora nodded and replied with a serious tone, “I know. But you can’t exactly guarantee everyone else is clean, can you?”
Albert was speechless.
