Faye’s heart pounded with fear. If Tracy really had latched onto the Johnson family’s golden boy and gained power, would there be any good days left for her and her daughter?
Thinking of this, Faye felt a little panicked. She said to Tracy with red eyes, “Tracy, even if you can’t stand us, you can’t make this kind of joke. The Johnson family’s golden boy only just returned to the country, how could you possibly know him?”

What kind of joke was this? The Johnson family’s golden boy had always lived abroad and had only just returned. How could Tracy possibly know such an important figure? He was a VIP that even her Yvonne couldn’t get close to. How could Tracy know him? She was clearly talking nonsense, just trying to get the Xander family’s attention. She had seen this kind of tactic many times.
Trevor fixed his gaze on Tracy, his eyes full of disappointment. “Tracy, is what she said true? Are you really joking about this kind of thing just to get our attention?”
In truth, he didn’t believe it either. After all, he hadn’t heard the eldest (Jared) mention it, nor had he heard anything about Tracy and Sean. No matter how capable Tracy was, she was just an orphan on the outside. How could she know the Johnson family’s golden boy who had just returned to the country?
Tracy squinted at Faye. “You really are as disgusting as ever. Since you don’t believe me, I have no need to explain anything to you. After all, people who are blind in both eye and heart won’t listen to advice. But if you have any trouble in the future, don’t you dare come looking for me. I only came back to this home on Grandma’s account, not to see you. You all don’t need to be so dramatic, understand?”
She hadn’t planned on making the Xander family believe her about Sean; this was just a warning. Whatever she did in the future had nothing to do with them. They couldn’t moral–guilt her. Except for Grandma, she now felt disgusted by everyone in the Xander family. Faye and her daughter loved to cause trouble, and they dared to provoke her so blatantly. It was just a foul habit they’d developed from being spoiled. The Xander family was blind in heart and eye, only able to see the hardships of that mother- daughter pair, but not the sacrifices of others. If only she had seen this clearly earlier. Alas, she’d just have to consider all her past sincerity fed to the dogs.
Chase pointed at the door. “Tracy, you came here on your own; we didn’t invite you. What are you so smug about? Get the hell out of our house, and preferably never come back. Our Nander family doesn’t need a sister like you. The little princess of our Xander family has only ever been Yvonne. What do you have to compare to her? Hurry up and get lost. You’re not welcome in our house.”
Ever since they returned, Tracy had been nothing but critical, as if the Nander family owed her. Asking themselves honestly, they didn’t owe Tracy anything, so they wouldn’t spoil her. If she wanted to throw her weight around in the Xander family, she’d have to see if they’d allow it
“You shut up!” A frail voice came from upstairs
They turned around simultaneously. Linda quickly went upstairs to push Madam Sarah down: Ever since Madam Sarah was injured, the Xander family had installed a slide–like ramp on the stairs, precisely to make it convenient for Madam Sarah to go up and down in her wheelchain
Tracy was alarmed. Grandma’s health was already poor, she couldn’t let her get agitated.

Tracy glared at Chase, then walked toward Madam Sarah. “Grandma, why did you wake up so soon?”
Madam Sarah sighed, took Tracy’s hand, and said, “Tracy, you have been wronged. If I hadn’t come, this house would have been turned upside down.”
Madam Sarah’s appearance surprised everyone in the Xander family, especially since she had appeared just as Chase was kicking her out. This was very awkward.
Linda pushed Madam Sarah into the living room. Madam Sarah’s face darkened. She said to Linda, “Linda, go get my cane.”
Linda looked at Madam Sarah in surprise. “Why do you need the cane?”
Ever since the old madam started using the wheelchair, the cane was no longer needed. Asking for the cane now… could she be wanting to hit someone?
