The nurse couldn’t help but say to Tracy, “Hey, where did you find your boyfriend? He’s so handsome, and so caring. He’s my dream guy. You have no idea, you had a high fever all last night, and he just kept patiently giving you physical cooling. Basin after basin of hot water, and he, a grown man, wasn’t impatient in the slightest. And he’s so considerate. It’s really enviable.”
She had been on duty last night and had personally watched Sean take care of Tracy. The way he was so careful, as if she were a precious treasure, was truly so handsome.
Tracy glanced at Sean, who was working online at the desk. Her heart felt warm.
If it weren’t for Sean, she would probably still be lying at home, deliriously ill, and no one would even know.
She suddenly felt that having someone who cared about her by her side was actually quite nice
But the last relationship had hurt her too deeply. She didn’t even have the courage to take that step. She was even more afraid that her demands would grow and grow, and that he would get more and more annoyed with her.
Just like with her and Chandler. They had been so in love in the first few years, but it couldn’t withstand the wear and tear of time. In the end, they had become opposites who were sick of each other.
It was quite sad to think about.
She stayed in the hospital for three days. Sean stayed with her in the hospital for two of them. He only went back to the company in the end because he absolutely had to.
During these three days, she hadn’t run into her third uncle. He had probably been discharged and gone home.
That was good, too. She didn’t want them to see her, didn’t want them to worry about her, and certainly didn’t want them to know about her cancer.
On the day of her discharge, Natalie came to pick her up. Sean had been swamped with work ever since returning to the company. There were only a few simple shared” messages between them.
Just as she sat down in the passenger seat, Quinton’s call came through. The hand Tracy was holding the phone with paused.
Natalie immediately leaned over curiously. “Whose call is it? Why aren’t you answering?” When she saw it was Quinton’s call, she scoffed. “Yo, the ex–husband’s assistant is calling. It

couldn’t be about Renee, coming to negotiate terms with you, could it? Your ex–husband is really disgusting. He didn’t care about you when he felt you had no value. Now that he sees hi sister is about to be in trouble, he finally remembers you, his ex–wife. It’s really been hard on
him.”
Back when Chandler insisted on sending Tracy a lawyer’s letter, he probably never dreamed there would be such a major reversal.
She had heard a little about the court hearing a few days ago. She heard that because he couldn’t win the case, Renee’s lawyer left halfway through.
Just thinking about that scene, and the defeated expressions on the Xander family’s faces, she felt great.
It was such a shame she wasn’t there to see such an explosive scene. If she had known, she would have taken the day off to watch the show.
Tracy looked at the phone as the call automatically disconnected. “It doesn’t matter. To help Renee, Chandler was even willing to try and give me ten percent of Gaunt Corp’s shares.”
Looking at it now, after so many years of their relationship, Chandler had never treated her as family. How could a family member only know how to take, and not how to give?
Actually, it wasn’t that Chandler didn’t know how to give; he just felt she wasn’t worth his effort
He was so considerate and attentive to Yvonne. In front of outsiders, who couldn’t tell that the two of them were a couple?
Unless that person was blind.
But her, the actual wife, Chandler had ignored completely. Not only was their marriage hidden and never made public, but he had also placed many restrictions on her.
Natalie’s eyes widened as she looked at Tracy in shock. “Huh? And you agreed?”
She truly hadn’t expected Chandler to be so “generous” to his ex–wife just to help his sister
This indirectly proved that Chandler had never, from start to finish, thought of Tracy as one of
his own.
After all, Chandler was the one who had insisted on suing Tracy in the first place, and he was the one who insisted on taking it to court.
If it weren’t for the help of the Johnson family’s “golden boy,” she really couldn’t imagine how badly Tracy would have been bullied by her ex–husband.
And now they knew to come and negotiate. The Gaunt family was truly shameless to the core.

Tracy shook her head. “No, I don’t lack money. No matter what terms he offers, I will not withdraw the suit.”
Given her contributions over the years, what Chandler was offering was already something she deserved. But she didn’t want to remain entangled with the Gaunt family.
Besides, the insults the Gaunt family had subjected her to–how could that be erased with just a few shares?
She was going to teach the Gaunt family a lesson, and she would not accept a settlement, nor would she compromise for the bait they were dangling.
Natalie sighed in relief. “That’s good. The Gaunt family is too shameless. I was afraid that the moment you took the Gaunt family’s things, they would find a way to snatch them right back.”
“It’s not the first or second time the Gaunt family has done something like this. How few things have they taken from your hands over these past few years?”
