Chapter 171 I Will Not Settle

“How many times did Chandler give you something one second, only for Renee to take it away the next? Their family is too shameless. It’s better if we stay far away from them.”
Chandler indulged his sister, letting her snatch Tracy’s things, and even said, as if it were obvious, that Tracy should let her little sister have her way.
Now, just thinking about it, she wanted to rush over and give Chandler a good beating.
Tracy’s phone rang again. It was still Quinton calling. This time, she answered it.
Quinton’s impatient voice came from the other end, …Ms. Xander, Mr. Gaunt has drafted a share transfer agreement for you. Do you have time to come over and sign it now? Mr. Gaunt has decided to give you ten percent of the company’s shares as compensation. Are you coming to sign the contract?”
Quinton thought, Mr. Gaunt had neglected Tracy for so many years. This time, although he was
compromising for Renee’s sake, at the end of the day, it was giving Tracy a way out. Tracy would probably ake this graceful exit, right?
After all, after so many years, this was the first time Mr. Gaunt had actively given Tracy anything, and it was company shares at that.
One had to know, Gaunt Corp’s market value increased by dozens of points every year. Its future value was immeasurable.
If Tracy held the company’s shares, she would be a walking ATM, with a constant stream of money coming

Ten percent of the shares was already a dream many people could never achieve. He didn’t believe Tracy wouldn’t compromise.
Who knew, Tracy just chuckled lightly, then said, word by word. “You tell Chandler, I will not withdraw the suit, nor will I settle. Tell him to give up on that idea.”
After hanging up, Tracy and Natalie went to see Morgan and his family. When Morgan saw the two of hem, he quickly took the things from their hands.
While taking the items, Morgan complained, “You can just come by yourselves, why buy so many things? You young people just don’t know the importance of money. Tracy, next time you come, don’t bring anything, or I’ll get angry. Got it?”
Tracy agreed while changing her shoes, “I got it.”
Although she said that, she would still buy things the next time she came. She always felt it was a bit embarrassing to visit someone’s home empty–handed.
Natalie whispered in Tracy’s ear, “Morgan’s family is so genuine. A genuine family like theirs is so rare in this society. By the way, I haven’t seen your cousin in a long time. It’s the weekend, he should be home, right?”
She had often heard Tracy say that this cousin of hers was very good to her, much better than her actual

brother.
In college, she had seen Jackson a few times, but it was too long ago, and her impression was a bit vague.
She
just vaguely remembered that he was tall, had a nice voice, and was a very good person.
Tracy looked at Natalie, amused. “Hey, you’re not trying to hit on my cousin, are you?”
If Natalie and her cousin could get together, they would be a pretty good pair. After all, her cousin’s character was truly impeccable. The only drawback was that his family background couldn’t compare to Natalie’s.
But if they truly loved each other, they should be able to cast aside worldly conventions, right?
Natalie’s face flushed, and she quickly shook her head, denying it. “Don’t talk nonsense. I just think his voice is nice, and I haven’t seen him in a long time, that’s all. I don’t mean anything else.”
She had only just gotten out of a relationship; there was no way she could jump into the next one so quickly. After all, healing a broken heart takes time.
Tracy nodded in understanding, then teased. “Mn, you just think his voice is nice, no other meaning.”
She, however, felt that if her cousin was also interested in Natalie, there might be a story between them.
Thinking of this, Tracy walked over to Morgan and began to look around. “Where’s Jackson?”
Morgan answered Tracy while pouring water. “He took a call and went out early this morning. It seems a female colleague was looking for him. Lily knew you were coming, so she went out again to buy groceries, but she should be back soon. You two sit down, have some water and fruit. I’ll go to the kitchen first to prepare the soup.”
Tracy nodded and pulled Natalie to sit on the sofa. For some reason, Natalie didn’t seem very happy.
She couldn’t help but tease, “What’s wrong? You’re not upset because you heard Jackson went to meet a female colleague, are you?”
Natalie, in a fluster, plucked a grape and stuffed it into Tracy’s mouth. “Of course not! Don’t talk nonsense. If you say that again, I’ll hit you.”
In truth, she didn’t know why, but hearing Jackson went out on a date, she felt a little upset, but she would never admit it.
She felt she didn’t have a chance, so she had accepted Leon’s pursuit.
She had treated Leon with all her heart, never expecting him to be a complete and utter hypocrite.
