Hayley gritted her teeth. “I’m not apologizing. Even if it costs me my life, I won’t apologize.
I raised Daron. I did everything a mother would, except actually giving birth to him. He owes me. Why should I be the one aying sorry?
Just because he married Marina, now he won’t even acknowledge me, who raised him. I want the whole world to see what in ungrateful traitor he really is.”
Bette listened to Hayley’s ranting and let out a mocking laugh.

Bette chuckled softly. “Of course, I know the money isn’t with you. Zara gave it to Daron the very day you left the country.
“She wanted to stay in Vrufield, wanted to be by Daron’s side, so she showed her loyalty with that money.”
Hayley’s expression shifted instantly, and she snapped coldly, “You’re lying.”
