Chapter 530

Seeing that Daron was totally clueless and still had that dead serious face, the doctor grinned.

“Of course you can,” the doctor said. “But you need to be careful for now. No bedroom activities for a while.”

Daron finally got it and nodded.

“Got it,” he replied, still keeping that serious look.

Marina pressed her lips together and tugged at Daron’s arm, wishing he’d just shut up already.

The doctor reminded them of the date for the next prenatal check-up, updated the booklet, and handed it over to Marina.

Marina took the report from the doctor and looked it over seriously.

The scan didn’t show the baby yet. Still, Marina couldn’t calm down.

Daron took her hand and led her out of the doctor’s office.

Belinda was waiting at the door. As soon as she saw Marina and Daron come out, she hurried over.

On the way back, Belinda drove.

Daron kept Marina company in the back seat.

Belinda stayed focused on driving the whole way.

Back at the Zamora mansion, they’d already heard the news. While Daron and Marina were in the exam room, Belinda had called them to give an update.

Harris had already heard about Marina’s pregnancy and called Daron right away to go over what they needed to be careful

about.

“Ever since Hayley made your marriage public, everyone’s been watching you two,” Harris said. “For now, keep Marina’s pregnancy under wraps. Wait until after the first trimester to announce it.”

There were just too many things that could go wrong in the first three months.

Marina and Daron were already under a lot of scrutiny.

Daron listened to Harris’s advice and answered earnestly, “Got it, Grandpa.”

Harris couldn’t hide the joy in his voice. It’d been forever since the Zamora family had anyone new.

“Let Marina stay home and rest for now. You should help out more with things at the Finley Group,” Harris said. “She’s so slender, and now that she’s pregnant, she really shouldn’t be pushing herself anymore.”

Daron replied, “Cot it, Grandpa.”

Harris reminded him of a few more things, then hung up.

At the Zamora mansion, after Harris finished the call, he sat down on the couch with a smile and turned to the butler.

“Tomorrow, have someone custom-make a crib set. Use only the safest and most eco-friendly materials,” Harris said. “And…”

The butler stood by, listening closely to Harris’s instructions and hurriedly taking notes.

When Harris finished, he let out a hearty laugh.

He’d come to terms with the idea that Daron might never settle down while he was still alive.

But this year, Daron not only tied the knot, but he was also going to be a dad.

Harris had brought Daron up single-handedly, and he’d pinned all his hopes on Daron.

Now Daron was about to have a child, and in ten months, Harris would finally welcome his great-grandchild. The happiness flooding Harris was something only he could truly feel.

Daron accompanied Marina home. On the ride back, Marina nestled into Daron’s embrace and fell asleep.

Daron glanced down at Marina, her head resting gently on his lap as she slept, and a soft smile tugged at his lips.

He was about to post on his Instagram Story and let everyone know he was going to be a dad.

But remembering what Harris had said, he held back his urge to share and kept his excitement in check.

When they got home, Daron carried Marina into their bedroom.

Marina woke up for a moment and opened her eyes. When she saw it was Daron holding her, she just snuggled into a more comfortable spot before drifting back to sleep.

After Daron laid Marina down on the bed, she opened her eyes and saw him still sitting there, not leaving.

You should head to the office. Belinda’s here with me, so I’ll be fine,” Marina murmured.

Anyway, things at the Finley Group had settled down lately, and Emeric could handle everything. She didn’t need to go in

inymore.

she could just rest at home and focus on her pregnancy.

Daron looked down at Marina’s natural face, reached out, and gently squeezed her cheek. His voice was soft as he said, There’s nothing urgent at the office. I’m staying home with you today.”

When Marina heard him, a faint smile appeared on her lips.

She snuggled a little closer to Daron, and he naturally wrapped his arms around her.

Go ahead and sleep. I’ll be right here with you,” Daron said softly,

Marina nodded, found a comfortable spot, and closed her eyes.

When Marina woke up, Daron was nowhere to be seen. She got out of bed and headed out, hearing his voice coming from the study next door.

He was discussing work stuff with Carret.

Marina waited quietly outside the study until Daron finished his call, then walked in.

Daron put his phone away and turned around, only to see Marina had walked in.

He quickly grabbed his jacket and wrapped it around her.

“You’re awake. Why didn’t you call for me?” he asked.

Marina wrapped her arms around Daron’s waist and said softly, “I thought you’d gone to the office”

Daron chuckled softly. “I said I’d stay home with you today, and I meant it. I’m not going anywhere.

“Is there anything you’re craving? I can have Belinda pick it up and make it for you. Belinda told me you skipped breakfast this morning and just had a glass of milk.”

Marina leaned her head against Daron’s chest and shook her head. “I don’t really feel like eating. Elnora wants us to have dinner at the Finley mansion tonight.”

Daron nodded. “Sure, I’ll go with you tonight. But first, we need to sort out lunch. You’re pregnant now. Skipping meals isn’t an option.”

The baby needed to get all its nutrients from Marina, so if she didn’t eat well, things could get messy later.

Daron was laser-focused on following the doctor’s instructions today, not missing a single detail.

Hearing his serious tone, Marina listed off some fruits and veggies she was craving.

Daron immediately asked Belinda to buy them.

In the afternoon, Daron accompanied Marina to the Finley mansion.

Lately, Gauri was the only one staying at the Finley mansion.

With Elnora coming home today, Gauri made sure the whole place was spotless.

When Daron and Marina walked in, Gauri quickly came over and accepted the gift box from Daron.

Elnora was on the phone in the study, but when she heard the noise, she came out.

When Marina saw Elnora, she immediately ran over and threw herself into Elnora’s arms.

‘Elnora,” Marina called out.

When Marina ran over, Daron instinctively got nervous.

Elnora noticed Daron’s reaction, then gave Marina’s head a gentle rub and said softly, “Take it easy. If you trip, you’ll totally freak someone out.”

Marina shot Daron an embarrassed look, then turned to Elnora and said softly, “Elnora, I’m going to be a mom.”

Elnora was stunned for a moment, then gently rubbed Marina’s head, smiling as she said, “Congratulations to you both. Now that you’re going to be a mom, you need to start taking things a bit more seriously.”

As she spoke, Elnora sighed softly.

“Time really does fly. I still remember when you were just a little thing, always following me around. And now, you’re about to be a mom,” she said.
