Chapter 531
Elnora motioned for Marina and Daron to take their seats.
After Daron sat down, he glanced at Elnora and asked, “I heard from Marina that you and Mr. Campbell are planning a wedding?”
Elnora nodded. “Yeah, the Campbell family is quite traditional. Reese said she didn’t want me to just get a marriage certificate with Albert and not even have a proper wedding, so we decided to go ahead with it.
They hadn’t held a wedding before due to concerns about her health.
Now that she was fully recovered and her recent check-ups had all shown excellent results, Reese discussed the idea with her.
Albert didn’t object at all. In fact, when Reese suggested it, he even took the initiative to book the venue.
Maybe this would be the only marriage Elnora would ever have.
Elnora thought that as a woman, she deserved a wedding that was truly hers, so she didn’t object.
So, when are you and Marina planning to hold your wedding?” Elnora asked.
Elnora knew Daron well enough to know he’d never just quietly bring Marina home as his wife without any fanfare.
Now that their relationship was out in the open, Elnora figured Daron had already started making plans for the wedding.
Daron didn’t answer right away after Elnora’s question.
Marina quietly chimed in, “I’m pregnant now. The doctor told me to be extra careful these first three months. Honestly, I don’t want to walk down the aisle with a big belly in my wedding photos.”
As she spoke, her voice trailed off.
Daron’s heart clenched at her words.
He reached out and took Marina’s hand, a flicker of guilt crossing his eyes.
I’m sorry, this is my fault. I didn’t consider your feelings, and now you’re pregnant because of me,” he said.
Marina froze for a second, then saw the guilty look on Daron’s face and hurried to explain, “No, that’s not what I meant. I just want us to wait until the baby’s born before we have the wedding.

As Marina spoke, she was already imagining their child clutching her wedding dress, following her down the aisle toward Daron.
Elnora nodded in agreement. “That sounds great. Letting your child be part of your own wedding really gives it a unique meaning
Daron nodded, dropping his gaze to Marina, and said softly, “Whatever you want. Just tell me any crazy idea you have, and I’ll do everything I can to make it happen.”
All he wanted was to give Marina the wedding she’d always dreamed of.

Marina nodded.
If I ever have any ideas, you’ll be the first to know,” she promised.
A smile tugged at Daron’s lips.
Elnora sat quietly to the side, simply watching them.
Marina scooted over to Elnora and spoke softly.

‘Elnora, if you need anything during this time, just reach out to us. And for your wedding, or anything you need for the big day, make sure you talk it over with me.”
They were each other’s true family.
Even though Carter was still around, he was totally unreliable. Marina never expected anything from him. She just hoped he’d stay away and not make a scene on the big day.
Now, she was the only one Elnora could really count on from her family, so she was determined to make sure Elnora’s bridal shower was perfect.
Elnora gave a nod and said softly, “Alright, I’ll talk it over with you when the time comes.”
Marina nodded, clearly pleased, then leaned toward Elnora and said. “Let’s go shopping together soon. I want to help you out together your bridal trousseau. I’m going to make sure your wedding is absolutely unforgettable.”
Elnora listened, her heart swelling with gratitude she couldn’t put into words. Hearing Marina say what should have come rom their parents touched her in a way nothing else could.
She nodded softly, accepting Marina’s offer.
Dinner at the Finley mansion was much quieter than at the Zamora mansion.
Only Marina, Daron, and Elnora sat at the table.
Normally, when it was just Marina and Elnora at home, Gauri would join them for meals.
But today, since Daron was visiting, Gauri insisted on not joining them at the table.
Sauri knew all too well about the Zamora family’s reputation and status in Vrufield.
She didn’t want to do anything improper and risk Daron looking down on the Finley family, or worse, on Marina
By staying off the table, Gauri was quietly showing Daron that the Finley family was just as proper and respectable.
After dinner, Marina cozied up next to Elnora, chatting warmly with her.
Daron stayed close by, quietly keeping them company.
With Elnora back home, Marina felt a deep attachment to the house, and for a while, she just couldn’t bring herself to leave the Finley mansion.
The two sisters chatted for a long time, and it wasn’t until Elnora suggested it was time to wrap up that Marina finally got up from the couch.

Elnora nodded. “Okay. You still need to help me shop for my bridal trousseau, so you don’t have to worry about us not spending enough time together.”
Marina couldn’t help but smile at that.
Marina walked over to Daron, hooked her arm around his, and said softly, “Let’s go home.”
Daron lowered his gaze, looking at her as he spoke softly. “If you want to stay at your family’s place, that’s totally fine.”
Marina was momentarily stunned, hesitating for a moment before she asked, “But what about you?”
Elnora glanced up at Daron. She hadn’t expected Daron to actually let Marina stay.
She’d thought that if Marina wanted to stay at the Finley mansion tonight, Daron would probably tie her up and drag her, back himself.
But now, it seemed all that time spent adjusting to each other had really paid off.
Daron wasn’t so bossy when he was with Marina these days.
Meeting Marina’s expectant gaze, Daron spoke softly. “If you want me to stay with you, then I’ll stay.”
Marina’s smile grew even brighter.
She knew Daron meant that he was open to whatever she wanted.
‘Of course I want you to stay,” she said.
After all, she’d gotten used to having Daron by her side these days.
She was just worried that he might feel uncomfortable.
‘Guess I’ll stay then,” Daron replied.
Upon hearing Daron’s decision, Gauri headed upstairs to prepare the room.
Marina’s smile was radiant as she took Elnora’s hand and said softly, “Elnora, tonight I can talk with you for as long as I want.”
Elnora reached out and gently ruffled Marina’s hair.
You should really get some rest for the baby,” Elnora said.
Right after she finished talking, her phone started ringing.
Elnora glanced at the caller ID. It was Albert. She turned to answer the call.
I’m heading upstairs,” she said.
As she answered the phone, she shot a quick look at Daron and Marina and called out, “Don’t stand on ceremony, Daron. You’re family here.”
Daron nodded.
Elnora finally put the phone to her ear, talking to Albert as she walked upstairs.
Marina watched Elnora walk away, pouting a bit. Soon enough, she linked arms with Daron and headed upstairs.

After she and Daron finished washing up, Marina slipped out several times to look for Elnora.
But Elnora was still chatting with Albert on the phone, so Marina eventually gave up and went back to her room.
