Chapter 570
Elnora walked back into the room.
In the afternoon, Albert came home from work.
Sharon hurried over, took a pair of slippers from the shoe cabinet, and set them in front of him.
Not seeing Elnora in the living room, Albert asked, “Where’s Ms. Finley?”
Sharon replied, “She’s in the study upstairs.”
Albert nodded and headed inside.
Sharon lowered her voice and added, “Ms. Finley’s not in the best mood today.”
Albert paused mid-step and glanced at her. “Did someone upset her?”

With her head bowed, Sharon replied respectfully, “A Miss Taylor came by to see Ms. Finley this afternoon.
“Ms. Finley was out in the yard, enjoying the sunshine, and seemed pretty happy at first, but then Miss Taylor started saying some odd things, something about the lavender in the garden, I think. I was standing too far away to catch it all.”
Albert glanced out the floor-to-ceiling window toward the yard.
Sure enough, there was that patch of lavender.
His eyes darkened instantly.
That lavender had indeed been planted by Stella.
He hadn’t paid it any mind and had completely forgotten about it.
He never expected Stella would show up here just to remind Elnora about it.
His face instantly turned cold.
Seeing Albert’s expression, Sharon hurriedly added, “Miss Taylor also brought over your suit jacket. She said you lent it to her, and she’s already washed it. She asked me to put it back in the closet.”
Albert’s gaze fell on the suit jacket.
He let out a cold smirk and said in a low voice, “Just toss it in the trash.”
Sharon nodded quickly. “I’ll handle it right away.”
Albert gave a brief nod and headed upstairs.

Chapter 570
Upstairs in the study, Elnora was there as expected.
She sat in her office chair with her phone, on a call with Emeric.
Emeric gave her an update about the Finley Group, then casually chatted with her for a bit.
Her features were relaxed, and every now and then she gave a serene smile.

Albert stood in the doorway, watching her until Elnora noticed him and her smile disappeared. Only then did
he walk in.
Seeing Albert walk in, Elnora said calmly to Emeric, “Mr. Chauvin, something’s come up on my end, so I’ll hang up for now. Let’s catch up another time.”
Albert’s eyes showed a hint of annoyance.
He’d thought Elnora was on the phone with Marina.
Turned out she was actually talking to Emeric, the acting CEO of the Finley Group.
His expression soured instantly.
Albert pulled out the chair across from Elnora and sat down, his voice cool. “Stella came by to see you today?”
Elnora nodded. “Yeah, she brought your suit jacket and said she wanted to check up on me.”
Elnora relayed Stella’s words to Albert exactly as she’d heard them.
Albert’s face stayed blank, but his piercing gaze was locked onto Elnora.
Elnora didn’t flinch; she met his eyes without backing down.
Elnora asked, “Albert, have you ever thought about getting Miss Taylor some coaching?
“Her way with words is seriously lacking. If she keeps talking like that when she joins the scene, she’s bound to rub people the wrong way.”
If Stella ever had to speak in front of the cameras and said something that clueless, she’ll have a tough time making it in the business.
Albert looked at Elnora’s serious face and let out a deep breath.
“Whatever you want, it’s up to you,” he said.
Elnora nodded. “Alright, I’ll make the arrangements.”
Albert nodded.
“Other than that, did you two talk about anything else?” Albert asked.
“Not really,” Elnora replied.

“Looks like Sharon was just being overly concerned,” he said.
Elnora looked up at him.
Albert spoke slowly. “Sharon said you seemed a bit down after Stella came by.
“I thought maybe it was true, but seeing you now, it doesn’t look like you were affected at all.”
Elnora looked away from Albert.
She siad, “Sharon just sees us as an ordinary couple, so she figured I’d be affected after Stella came by and started talking about those sensitive things.
“But we’re not your typical couple, so minor stuff like that doesn’t bother me at all.
“Relax, Albert. I know how to keep boundaries and navigate what we have.”
Albert listened to Elnora’s words and swallowed back the explanation he was about to give.
With the way she was, he realized there was no need for him to explain anything.
Albert pushed back his chair and got to his feet.
“Ms. Finley, you’re really self-aware. Since you’re so level-headed about it, I can relax,” he said.
Elnora didn’t say a word.
Albert added coldly, “I’m heading to Vuplariland. I’ll be back in about a week.”
Elnora nodded. “Got it.”
Seeing how indifferent she was, Albert felt so frustrated he could barely catch his breath.
Afraid she’d drive him crazy if he stayed any longer, he strode out of the study.
After he left, Elnora turned her attention back to the documents on her desk.
Albert finished packing his suitcase and stepped out of the bedroom.
He pulled his suitcase past the study door and gave the room a quick glance.
The wheels of his luggage were noisy as they rolled across the floor.
Hearing the sound, Elnora looked up at Albert.
Albert quickly averted his gaze and headed downstairs.
Sharon saw Albert coming down the stairs with his suitcase and looked a bit surprised.

wondered.
Feeling a bit uneasy, Sharon hurried over.
Albert shot her a glance, slipped on his shoes at the door, and said in a low voice, “Get someone to remove that patch of lavender by the entrance.”
With that, Albert turned and walked out.
Sharon stood there, her face full of panic.
‘So it really was because of Miss Taylor that they ended up arguing,’ she thought.
Sharon hurried upstairs and stopped at the study door.
She’d expected Elnora to be crying or making a scene, but instead, Elnora was calmly sitting at her desk, focused on her paperwork.
Noticing Sharon’s nervousness, Elnora looked up and asked, “What’s wrong?”
“What’s wrong?” Elnora asked.
Sharon looked embarrassed and spoke carefully, “Ms. Finley, I hope I didn’t cause you any trouble. I just wanted to remind Mr. Campbell about Miss Taylor coming over to stir things up, but I never imagined things would end up like this.”
Albert had actually taken the chance to move out because of it.
Elnora caught the worry and guilt on Sharon’s face, pressed her fingers to her forehead, and said, “It’s really not as bad as you think. Go get some rest.”
“It’s really not as bad as you think,” Elnora reassured her.
“Go get some rest,” she added.
When she saw how unfazed Elnora was, Sharon’s worries eased a little.
Just as Sharon was about to leave, she remembered Albert’s instructions and turned back to Elnora.
“Ms. Finley, Mr. Campbell asked me to get someone to remove that patch of lavender by the entrance,” she
said.
Elnora simply nodded, her face impassive, showing she was already aware.
Sharon paused, then asked, “So, do you want me to dig it up or leave it as is?”
“Should I dig it up, or leave it alone?” she asked carefully.
