As the last word fell, Alexander was completely stunned.
He first muttered, “How is that possible…”
Then, as if remembering something, he looked sharply at Sophie. “Is what he said true?”
Sophie’s face turned pale, and she whispered, “He’s the delivery guy from the show… and also the only son of the Scott family from San Francisco.”
Alexander still asked unwillingly, “Emily, did you really marry him?”
Before I could answer, Ryan stepped in front of me, blocking his view.
“You like this dress?” he asked me, looking down. “Then we’ll buy it. Or should we just take every new style in the collection?”
With that, he directly handed over a black card and paid. without hesitation.

When Ryan and I left, Alexander still stood rigidly in place like a statue, incessantly muttering to himself, “Impossible… Didn’t she love me the most?”
Ryan’s grandmother’s eightieth birthday was approaching.
I didn’t really want to attend such an event.
But I couldn’t withstand his daily pestering.
“Honey, could you really bear to let your husband face those society daughters all by himself?” He leaned in close, putting on a pitiful act.
Seeing I wasn’t swayed, he pressed closer. “Besides, aren’t you worried? Your husband is so handsome, what if some conglomerate heiress sets her sights on him?”
