“I need to go to work,” I said to Dante and he frowned at this.

He seemed hellbent on doing it and it does sound like a compromise.
“Fine, but you will only stay for 10 minutes and not more than that,” I added and he nodded.
I got ready for work and headed there and started my day.”
I went to check on Terrence and he seemed just fine but something doesn’t make sense at all.
What was done to him?
I mean yes he was stabbed and badly hurt but he should be awake already.
Whatever was used to stab him wasn’t meant to kill him but only to weaken him.
He should be awake by now but he has been the same all this time.
His wounds have healed and he seems just fine then why won’t he wake up?
“Are you okay?” Mrs Jones asked as she walked into the room and I nodded.

Her eyes landed on Terrence and she frowned at this.

“He is the only family Olivia has left, if anything happens to him she will be heartbroken,” she said and I sighed.
“This is all my fault, that madman is after me,” I said and she looked at me.
“How is it your fault? You didn’t hurt him, that madman did. We can’t be held responsible for other people’s mistakes,” she said and then patted my shoulder.
“Well, if that is the case then why do I feel so guilty?” I asked her and she just smiled.
“Because you have a heart, you are not like that madman. It’s normal to feel that way but don’t beat yourself up too much,” she advised and I nodded.
I walked back to my office and found some omega waiting for me there.
“What is wrong?” I asked him and he told me that his injuries weren’t healing well and his breathing had become unstable.
“Please take off your shirt,” I said and he did as I told him and I started looking at his injuries.
Yes, his injuries aren’t healing as well as they should.
“What happened?” I asked him and he smiled at this.
“You are the doctor, I am here so you can tell me what is wrong,” he pointed and I found myself smiling a bit at this.
“That is true, but I am the nurse and I am still trying to figure out how werewolves heal,” I explained myself and he nodded.
“Well, you seem like a really smart person. I am sure that you will figure it out,” he said and I smiled at this.
“Well, you seem like a sensible young man,” I said and watched as he frowned.
“I think we are the same age,” he pointed out and I looked at his chart and he was right.
“So, you are an old soul huh?” he mocked and I chuckled a bit.
“Yes, I am just an old soul,” I answered and the door suddenly burst open.
I looked at Dante who was standing there but something was off.
His eyes had changed color and his staring at the omega like he wanted to kill him.
“Is this why you didn’t want me in your office?” he asked me and I sighed at this.

“I will look into your case. I can make something to help fastrack your healing,” I said to the omega who nodded.
He took his shirt and tried to put it on but couldn’t do so.
I tried helping but Dante grabbed my hand and in the blink of an eye the poor guy was flying out of the window.
“Why did you do that?” I asked Dante who scoffed at this.
“He was flirting with you, didn’t you see that he was busy looking at you like you were a piece of meat?” he asked me and I sighed.
“And when did he do that? We were just talking and nothing else,” I tried to reason.
“I am going to kill him,” he said and jumped out of the window after the poor guy.
I ran outside as fast as I could and I found people busy restraining Dante.
And on the floor, the poor omega was covered in blood.
I looked at Dante, he hates it when his pack members are put in danger.
And yet today he is the one who was beating them up for no reason.
Dante’s eyes landed on me and in a flash, I was in his arms.
“Take him inside and tend to his wound immediately,” I said to the nurses who quickly did as I
told them.
As soon as everyone was out of sight I pushed Dante away as far as I could.
“Why did you do that?” I asked him and I watched as his eyes widened.
He looked at his hands as if he couldn’t believe what he just did.
“I don’t know, I just saw red when you tried helping him put on his shirt,” he answered and I looked at him.
He seemed really bothered as if he really couldn’t understand why he had such an outburst.
“Jade, Terrence is awake,” Mrs Jones said and I ran as fast as I could.
I walked into Terrence’s room and found him sitting up.
“Hi, how do you feel?” I asked him and he looked at me and then smiled.
It was a gentle smile, I heard that he has a good heart, and looking at his smile I can tell it is

“Who are you?” he asked me and I sighed as I sat down.

“My name is Jade Bennett, don’t you remember that you came all the way here to warn me?” I asked him and he looked at me confused.
“Warn you? Warn you about what?” he asked me.
I looked at him, is this why that madman let him live?

He gave me false hope that I would find answers knowing very well that this wasn’t the case.
I looked at Dante, he also just almost killed a member of his pack for no reason whatsoever.
And now Terrence suddenly can’t remember anything, has his games started?
