Dante’s pov
Jade walked into the room and I was about to say something but stopped when I realized that something was wrong with her.
She looked at me and I watched how she sighed.
“What other abilities do you have? You can make me fall asleep, absorb pain, what else can you do?” she asked me.
I don’t know why but I could tell that lying here wouldn’t be a good solution.
“Fine, I will just ask you what I want to ask. Dante, did you imprint on me?” she asked me and I froze on my spot.
How is this even possible?
How does she know that we imprinted on her?
“Yes, it’s supposed to be invisible. Then how did she see it?” Onyx asked the same question I
had in mind.
“How did you know?” I asked her and she looked at me shocked and angry.
“Is that all you want to know? You don’t want to explain yourself?” she asked me and I looked
down.
“It was all Onyx, I only found out yesterday,” I explained and she looked at me confused.
“Thank you for throwing me under the bus,” Onyx said.
“What else are you expecting me to do? She can’t be angry at both of us,” I tried to justify things.
“Onyx, when did you do this?” she asked Onyx.
“Well, it wasn’t a one-time thing. I have been doing it gradually. If you remember, there was that one time I bit you and tried to control you in the process. That was when it started,” Onyx answered and Jade sat down.
“That was way before I agreed to stay here with you. That was before I fell in love with you,” she pointed.
“So you are telling me, that even if I didn’t want to stay here. I would have been forced to do

so?” she asked Onyx who couldn’t answer her.
“I am asking you something,” Jade added.
She was calm, but her voice was cold and angry.

“Well, not forced, but why does it matter now? You have decided to stay and the imprint only brings us closer,” Onyx answered.
“Dante, are you telling me that you really had no idea this whole time?” she asked me.
Well, Onyx did tell me that he had a reason for leaving all those bite marks on her body.
He did tell me that it would ensure that she is ours forever and I didn’t question.
I just didn’t think about it too much because it meant Jade wouldn’t leave.
I walked closer to her and when I tried to touch her she moved away.
“Please don’t touch me,” she said and raised her hand to stop me.
“Jade, please believe me, we have a valid reason as to why we did this,” I tried to explain.
I can’t tell her the full truth because I am certain of this but I need proof.
If I am going to send Sasha packing then I need undeniable truth that she isn’t my mate.
If I send her packing now, I would be just a terrible Alpha who kicked his Luna out.
I would be the villain, plus I also need to understand if Sasha is nothing but a victim in this
case.
Not only that, but Jade has a lot to worry about.
“Just trust me,” I said and she looked at me with tears in her eyes.
“Trust you? I did trust you, Dante, I trusted you with my heart and my body. You have betrayed one and branded the other. How can I trust you now?” she asked me.
I was about to answer but she sighed, raised her hand, and got up.
“I am going to sleep in Addison’s room. After tomorrow, it would be impossible for us to have sleepovers. Plus I don’t think I can trust you enough to sleep in the same room as well,” she said and then walked out. She is angry, I should just let her breathe and calm down.
“You were right, she is angry,” Onyx said and I sighed.
“I told you, it would have been better if she found out from us,” I replied.

But the most important question is how on earth did she manage to see that thing?
I mean Onyx made it clear that it had been developing slowly and yet no one could see it.
No one should be able to see it, not yet really but she managed to see it.
Even when I saw it for the first time, I had help from Onyx to be able to see it.
Then how the hell did she manage to see it?
Only Lycans can imprint on their other half.
But now I have learned that Onyx isn’t just a normal wolf.
He said that he realized that he could imprint on her and went ahead to do it.
At first, he was only doing it to bring us closer.
Slowly marking her as ours so no werewolf or man would go anywhere near her.
But then he realized that there was a mark forming on her shoulder.
That’s when he realized that he had somehow managed to imprint on her.
From what I know, there was a time, a long time ago when werewolves could also imprint on
someone.
But it only worked if that person was the fated mate of the werewolf.
This was done to bond humans and their werewolf mates.
This was because there had been a lot of cases of humans cheating on their mates with
other men.
So to stop them, since they couldn’t mate the same way werewolves do the best way was to imprint on them.
That way they would feel half of the love their mate feels and wouldn’t think of other men or
women.
But that was a long time ago, human mates became rare and the ability disappeared with
time.
The only reason I know this is because my family has an old book of such stories which are passed down from one Alpha generation to another.
They believe that history tends to repeat itself, so when you know history you know what not to do.

I couldn’t sleep all night, my mate was angry with me.
But I am so happy as well, Jade is my fated mate.

I want to scream as loud as I can so that the world knows but I also don’t want to alert my
enemy.
There is no way that it was an honest mistake that I mistook Sasha for my mate.
Someone is responsible for this, and that person seems to know more than anyone else.
But where do I find the answers and how?
Hell, the Alpha King also said that he always assumed that Jade would be my mate.
Maybe I will be able to find answers from him.
The day went by slowly and I felt like I was going to die.
I just wanted to catch a glimpse of Jade the whole day.
But I also knew that if I went to her she would be more angry.
I should let her calm down on her own and then I can try to explain everything.
The night came and we all started getting ready for Felix and Addison’s engagement party.
“Well, you must be so happy now that your mate has accepted you,” Piers said and he
nodded.
“I am so happy. I didn’t think she would agree to my proposal but I took the risk,” Felix said
with a massive smile.
We went downstairs and a few minutes later, Addison and Jade walked down the stairs hand
in hand.
I looked at Jade, she was wearing a simple black dress as if she didn’t want any attention on herself.
Too bad, I look for her in every room I walk into.
My eyes will always find hers no matter what.
Her eyes landed on me and I watched as she looked away fast.
Well, it’s good to know that her eyes will always find mine as well.
The party started and we celebrated their engagement.
