Sable POV
It would appear that Jaxon is being more observant now Maybe the fact that I scolded him last night made him aware of how terrible a mate he was acting We are only about twenty minutes from Winter Moon and honestly, I don’t know that I would have made it, if not for Jaxon having Drax carry me I can feel my energy waning
Nia is talking to me the entire time about all her conversations with Drax I think she is smitten with him I wish I could say the same about Jaxon. I don’t get the ‘lovey dovey’ mate bond behavior from him I feel more like a pack member than his mate.
He is carrying you to the pack though. He saw you were hurting and took charge. Did you see his body? He’s a big Alpha in more ways than one Sable.’ She says as she sends me mental pictures of his full- frontal naked body.
It’s true, he is gorgeous. He has some kind of tribal wolf tattoo sleeve on his arm. His broad shoulders and pecs are well-defined. His abs, there are eight of them. Damn, if I don’t want to touch all of them. It leads down to his Adonis belt that is very well sculpted. I can even see the veins leading down to his impressive length. I’ve seen naked men before, shifting back and forth from human to wolf to human again, it is to be expected. None of the men I have seen though are that, Moon blessed. When his back was to me and I saw him flexing his muscles, I swear my brain stopped thinking. He has a fantastic ass. A real muscle booty and I would love to get my hands on them.
‘Stop being a hoe and sending me these pictures, Nia. We are not that kind of she-wolf. No matter how gorgeous a man he is, if he doesn’t feel the mate bond, then what’s the point?’ 1
‘Maybe we should give him a chance. Drax says Jaxon is jealous that you are kind and friendly to everyone but him.’ She said.
‘Really? He’s getting jealous? Is that a typical reaction? I wasn’t trying to make him jealous, I was only treating him with the same indifference he has been treating me.’ I tell her.
‘All I’m saying, is we left and went back home. He followed after us, stayed the night, even after you told him to sleep outside and now, he has been carrying us for the last, almost two hours, back to Winter
Moon. It feels like he is making an effort. Maybe he feels out of his element.’
I take a moment to ponder what Nia is telling me. Maybe she is right. Maybe I’m coming off a little too harsh. I imagine Drax is tired too.
‘Let’s see what happens when we get back to the pack. If he continues being attentive and keeps his promise about calling Darius and Crane, then I will lighten up.’ I say, decidedly.
‘I think that’s fair.’ Nia agrees.
Finally, we get to Winter Moon and instead of stopping and shifting back, Drax carries me all the way to the pack hospital. I see a doctor and two nurses on standby with a gurney. I guess Jaxon must have alerted them we were on the way.

gurney and wheel me to a room
I look towards Drax and see a very naked Jaxon, walking away into the distance. He has me back and ! guess he reverted back to being distant again. I rest my head on the gurney and sigh, hoping I made the right choice in coming back.
Diane POV
The bitch is back. Why? Why did Jaxon go after her. I am right here. I would make a perfect Luna for him. She doesn’t want to be here and quite frankly, she doesn’t belong here. He was carrying her on his wolf too! Isn’t Sable a warrior? Why is she feigning sick still from a knife wound? She should have just stayed
away.
When I got out of the cell, I was happy that he finally let me out. I want and need to repair the relationship with him. I know he thinks I’m crazy for having pictures of him, but I’m not. I love him and I want to be his Luna. Is the title and prestige a bonus? Absolutely. It’s not my main objective though. My main objective has always been Jaxon.
I didn’t appreciate Matt calling me out that I sleep with the other warriors. I do it to keep them happy. I want them loyal to me later, when I become Jaxon’s Luna. But, Matt likes to paint me in a bad light so
Jaxon doesn’t want me.
Meanwhile, Sable is trying to slide in and take my place. What does she have that I don’t? What’s so great about her? She looks like a man with her over muscular body. She acts sweet and innocent but she is either conniving or an imbecile. I will need to figure out a way to get rid of her. Any opening I can find, I will capitalize on it. I want her gone.
