Chapter 297 Disposable
Fine bed
Yvonne was willing to set up her own mother and uncle’s family just to save herself. Faye had certainly raised a piece of work.
Yvonne’s face went pale for a second, but she quickly recovered with a sneer. “Don’t get too ahead of yourself, Tracy. What are you going to do against the White family? Rely on being Sean’s mistress? You’re delusional. My sister is about to marry into the Johnson family. Do you really think she’s going to let a homewrecker like you slide?”
With the White family backing her, Yvonne wasn’t afraid. To her, Tracy was a nobody who had no business talking back to her.
Tracy looked down at the electronic ankle monitor visible on Yvonne’s leg and smiled. “I’d watch my mouth if I were you. That monitor means you’re being watched 24/7. It wouldn’t be good if someone recorded you acting this way and used it against you, right? Also, you’re calling her sister already? That title doesn’t seem to mean much coming from you. And Julie, don’t say I didn’t warn you, Yvonne is an expert at backstabbing. Don’t come crying to me when she turns on you.”
Back when Yvonne called Tracy sister, she had spent every waking moment trying to ruin her. The woman was a parasite who played the victim while plotting behind everyone’s back.
“You!” Yvonne’s chest heaved with rage, she turned frantically to Julie. “Don’t listen to her! I would never betray you, I…”
Julie watched Tracy walk into the Johnson Corp building, knowing she was heading to see Sean, and her frustration spiked. Hearing Yvonne’s constant whining next to her only made it worse.
She turned and slapped Yvonne across the face. “Shut up! Who said you were my sister? I haven’t acknowledged you. The only reason you’re back at the estate is because you still have some use. In public. sure, we’re sisters. At home, you’re nothing more than a dog the White family keeps on a leash. Know your place, or that slap will be the least of your problems.”
Julie had seen enough people like Yvonne. If it hadn’t been for Yvonne’s instigation years ago, none of this mess would have happened. Yvonne was the one who started it all, and now she was trying to act like they were equals. It was pathetic.
Yvonne held her stinging cheek, her eyes red with tears. “I understand.”
On the surface she was submissive, but inside she was fuming. They were both Harrison’s daughters, so why did Julie get to act like royalty? And Tracy, why did Tracy get to have her moment in the spotlight and have lunch with Sean while Yvonne was treated worse than a servant? The gap between her old life as the star of the Xander family and her current reality was too much to handle. She wasn’t going to let this go.
In the lobby, Gary was already waiting. He stepped forward to meet Tracy with a polite smile. “You’re here. Mr. Sean asked me to bring you up.”
“Thanks, Gary,” Tracy replied.
She felt much more comfortable this time than on her first visit. She followed Gary to the elevator and up

to the executive office. When they entered, Sean was buried under a mountain of paperwork.
Finished
He looked up and gestured toward the sofa. “Have a seat. Let me finish these urgent files, and then we’ll cat.”
‘Sure. Tracy said.
She laid out the food on the coffee table. As the aroma filled the room, Scan realized just how hungry he was. He signed the last document, rolled up his sleeves, and walked over.
Tracy handed him a generous portion. “I made these based on what you usually like. Try them and see what you think.”
It was her day off, so she’d spent the morning at the market picking out ingredients he enjoyed. He had done so much for her that cooking for him felt like the least she could do, plus, it was part of their irrangement. Without him, clearing her uncle’s name would have taken years.
Sean took the container and sat beside her. “If you made it, I’m sure it’s good.”
Tracy felt a flush of pride. It wasn’t the first time someone had complimented her cooking, but hearing it from him felt different.
