Chapter 41-2
Mine. His howl rang confidently.
We raced through the night, reveling in our wolves. There was not a moment of fear in her, and when we finally collapsed back near our clothes, her tongue rolled out of her mouth happily.
With a chuckle, I shifted back. A moment later, she followed suit. Her face was flushed with
adrenaline as she stared up at me.
“Claudine is not going to be the only alpha with a hidden agenda,” she murmured, not doing
anything to hide her nakedness.
“No.”
Slowly, I curved a hand around her thigh and waited to see how her body would react.
She did shift, but only to widen her legs.
“We’ll be ready.”
Claim
“Will we?” she bit out, her voice like glass. “After dinner, Claudine looked me in the eye and asked how it felt to fuck a mate who doesn’t trust me. She’s not the only one who sees it.”
I dragged my knuckles up her inner thigh, slow and possessive, until they skimmed over her
soaked folds.
“What did you tell her?”
She smiled, a knowing gleam flashing in her eyes. “That I didn’t need your trust to have your c**k, your wolf, and your protection.”
I shoved a finger inside her and watched her arch, her mouth falling open in a helpless moan.
“I bet she fucking loved that answer.”
“She did,” she panted, eyes wild with challenge. “Then she reminded me I didn’t need a mate to get good d**k and a loyal guard dog.”
That made me see red.
Snarling, I crushed my mouth to hers, biting her lips until they bruised. I didn’t kiss to taste-I kissed
to own.
“Mine,” I growled, pulling back just enough to see the fire in her eyes.
She smirked and rolled me under her, straddling me like she was the one in charge. Her hand

braced on my chest, her cunt slick and pulsing as she eased herself down on my c**k.
She moaned, long and slow, and then whispered, “Be honest, Troy. I belong to your wolf… but I
don’t belong to you.”
That broke something in me.
Claim
I flipped her over without mercy and drove into her so hard the night split with her cries. I didn’t hold back. I used everything, my weight, my need, my fury-to fuck that lie out of her. To remind her
who she was built for.
Her words echoed, carved into my skull like a brand: I don’t belong to you.
But I did. I belonged to her in ways that ruined me.
And still, she refused to see it.
So I made her feel it instead.
I kept thrusting until all she could do was take it, beg for more, cling to me like she needed it to breathe. And when she shattered, trembling and soaked, I didn’t stop. I took every last gasp of her pleasure until I emptied myself inside her, not with love, but with pain.
“We should head back and try to get some sleep before tomorrow.”
“Did you know? About Irene’s old coven?”
“Some of it. Some I discovered on my own. I didn’t know that the Darkwyns were the ones to cull
her coven.”
“Cam knows that I’m a null, which means the other witches will too. Will they tell their alphas?”
“I don’t know,” I said honestly. “The witches are attached to us, but they don’t share the same loyalty that pack animals do. They keep their own secrets. If it suits them, they won’t say anything.” “Then I guess we’ll see who is loyal and who isn’t,” she muttered grimly.
