160 Chapter 160 Mothers Vengeance
Elena’s POV
These fools never imagined anyone would be reckless enough to launch an assault on their stronghold.
They had no clue what lengths a werewolf mother would go to reclaim her stolen child.
Captain Gardner emerged from his quarters and froze the moment his eyes landed on two enormous wolves prowling the corridor.
Fletcher burst from his room clutching a pistol, immediately opening fire on
- us.
We bolted down the hallway, bounding off walls to dodge the spray of bullets. I launched myself directly at Fletcher, slamming him to the floor beneath my weight.
Damien charged toward Gardner, but the captain had already begun his escape attempt. My mate tackled him face–first to the ground while Fletcher found himself trapped beneath my gaze.
I transformed back to human form while keeping Fletcher pinned. Despite returning to my smaller frame, my supernatural strength still rendered him helpless.
“Do you have any idea who you’re dealing with, you piece of garbage?” I
snarled.
“Everyone knows who you are,” he spat.
“Then tell me exactly who I am,” I demanded.
“Luna Elena of the Obsidian pack,” he answered through clenched teeth, his face twisted with revulsion at being so close to a werewolf. I extended a single claw and drove it deep into his shoulder.

“That wasn’t the answer I wanted,” I growled.
Damien had also shifted back and was now dragging Gardner over to witness everything I planned to do to his colleague.
“What the hell do you want from me?” Fletcher gasped.
“I asked you a question. Who am I?” I repeated.
“Luna Elena,” he said again. I twisted my claw deeper into his flesh, drawing a piercing scream from his throat.
“You’re Briar’s mother,” Gardner shouted desperately.
“Finally, some progress. Now tell me where Briar is,” I commanded.
“She’s not Briar anymore. She doesn’t even possess a wolf,” Gardner declared defiantly.
“That’s temporary. Her wolf will emerge much sooner than you expect. What I need to know is who stole her from me,” I stated coldly.
“That information is classified,” Gardner yelled. I glanced at Damien.
He unleashed all five claws and plunged them straight into Gardner‘ spine.
The man’s agonized screams echoed through the hallway as I heard the distinct crack of breaking bones.
Several vertebrae, most likely. Damien knew precisely how to inflict maximum pain without severing the spinal cord completely. Not yet, anyway.
“Let’s approach this differently. She was abducted sixteen years ago. You’re forty–eight years old, which means you could have authorized the kidnapping. But we both know you didn’t,” Damien stated matter–of–factly.
“How could you possibly know that?” Gardner screamed.
“Because you only assumed command of this facility ten years ago. Sixteen years ago, you were following someone else’s orders. Don’t try to outsmart us. We’ve done our research far more thoroughly than you have,” I explained.

“It was Castillo,” Fletcher blurted out suddenly.
“Captain Castillo. Where can we locate him now?” I pressed.
“Transferred to the Pentagon. Got himself promoted,” Fletcher gasped.
“We’ll definitely be verifying that information. But right now, there’s another matter we need to discuss with you, Fletcher. Specifically regarding how you train the female soldiers here. Especially how you treated our daughter,” I said, my voice dropping to a dangerous whisper.
“Whatever lies you’ve heard, none of it’s true,” he protested weakly.
I drove three more claws into his chest, and his blood–curdling scream filled the air.
“Easy, baby. We don’t want to end them too quickly,” Damien cautioned.
“I’m not. I’m just tickling around his heart. I haven’t attempted to rip it out yet,” I replied sweetly.
“You’d better start answering her questions. She doesn’t like waiting,” Damien warned him.
“Sometimes harsh methods are the only way to achieve the necessary results,” Fletcher shouted desperately.
“By sexually assaulting teenage girls?” I roared in his face, making him recoil in terror.
Without another moment’s hesitation, I plunged my entire hand deeper into his chest cavity, wrapped my fingers around his beating heart, and tore it free. His body went completely limp.
Gardner began shrieking hysterically, hurling every vile insult he could think of. Damien didn’t appreciate the language, so he used his claws to tear the man’s throat open, silencing him permanently.
“Castillo was the one who ordered Briar’s abduction,” I stated, wiping blood
from my
hands.

“And he’ll answer for that crime. Don’t worry about that. At least these monsters are finally dead,” Damien replied grimly.
We exited the building and surveyed the ongoing battle around us. I found some discarded clothing on my way out and quickly dressed myself. Looking around the compound, it was clear the Hunters didn’t stand a chance against our forces.
“Mom, Dad. We have complete control of the situation,” Caleb’s voice reached us through the mind link from across the compound.
“Excellent. Burn it all down,” I commanded.
Our warriors gathered torches and ignited every structure before our departure, including all the corpses scattered across the grounds.
I stepped back and watched the flames consume everything before walking toward the forest edge. I shifted back into my wolf form and began the journey home to our pack territory, with Damien running close behind me.
