Damien stood in the doorway and looked straight at me. I sat on the edge of the bed and raked my fingers through my hair.
“The other alphas are moving their packs in today,” he said. “We need to make everything tighter after what happened.”
I furrowed my eyebrows and stood up. “Today? Like right now?”
“Yeah,” he said. “Four hundred wolves total. Elias, Rafe and Theo are bringing their fighters and families. We cleared the east field for tents and cabins. Linda already started on the food stations.”
I shifted on my feet and crossed my arms. “That’s a lot of people. You sure we have room?”
“We will,” he said. “Builders worked through the night. It has to be done.”
The front door opened downstairs. Voices and footsteps filled the hall. I walked to the window and looked out. Trucks lined the driveway. Wolves carried boxes and bags toward the field.
Elias came up the stairs first. He wiped his hands on his jeans and smiled when he
saw me.
“Hey Sienna,” he said. “Glad you’re okay. We heard about the rogues. You need anything?”
I raked my fingers through my hair again and smiled back. “I’m fine. Thank you for asking. How’s your pack handling the move?”
“They’re excited to be here,” he said. “More eyes on you means everyone sleeps better. If the noise gets too much just tell me. We’ll move the kids farther out.”
Rafe jogged up next, carrying a heavy duffel. He dropped it and grinned at me.
“Look at you standing there like nothing happened,” he said. “You’re tougher than half my guys. Need water? Coffee? I can grab whatever.”
I laughed a little and shook my head. “I’m good right now. You really brought everyone today?”
“Every fighter we have,” he said. “Safer for you and the pup. Plus I get to see your face every day. Win-win.”
Theo came up quieter. He set down a box of supplies and gave my arm a gentle
squeeze.
“We brought extra blankets and baby stuff just in case,” he said. “How are you feeling with all this happening so fast?”

i furrowed my eyebrows and looked at the box. “A bit overwhelmed but grateful. Thanks for thinking of the pup.”
“Anytime,” he said. “If you need quiet space we can set aside a room just for you.”
Kade walked in last. He leaned against the wall and crossed his arms. He didn’t smile or say hello.
Damien turned to them. “Elias, your group takes the north tents. Rafe, south side. Theo, you handle the middle row and the supply trucks. Kade, coordinate the weapons storage.”
Elias nodded at me. “Sienna, want to walk out and see the setup? Might make you feel better knowing where everyone is.”
I shifted on my feet and thought for a second. “Maybe in a bit. I think I’ll help Linda first so the kitchens are ready.”
Rafe bumped my shoulder lightly. “Smart. Linda’s sandwiches are the best. Save me two.”
Theo smiled. “If anything feels off out there just come find me. We’ll adjust whatever you need.”
Kade pushed off the wall. “We setting up or standing around talking?”
Damien’s jaw tightened but he kept his voice even. “Get to work, Kade.”
I watched Kade walk away without another word. My stomach twisted a little but I pushed it down.
Elias turned back to me. “Don’t let him get to you. We’re here for you, not him.”
Rafe nodded. “Exactly. You need anything at all, day or night, one of us will handle it. You’re not alone anymore.”
I smiled at them and felt my shoulders relax just a bit. “Thanks. That actually helps a lot.”
Theo picked up his box again. “We’ll check in after the tents are up. Rest if you need to.”
They headed downstairs. I stood at the top of the steps and watched them direct their wolves. Tents went up fast. Kids ran around laughing while parents unpacked. Someone started a fire pit for dinner.
Damien came up behind me and put his hand on my lower back. “You okay?”
I raked my fingers through my hair and leaned against him a little. “Yeah. They’re being really nice. It feels… safe with them here.”
He nodded once. “Good. That’s the point.”
I looked out at the field again. More wolves kept arriving. Rafe waved at me from

For the first time in days my chest felt a little lighter. I still kept an eye on Kade in the distance, but the rest of them made the packhouse feel full in a good way.
I turned to Damien. “Thank you for doing this.”
He looked down at me. “Anything to keep you safe.”
I nodded and watched the wolves keep working together. The sun dipped lower and the field filled with light from lanterns. Voices carried up, laughing and calling out instructions. It felt like family moving in, not just soldiers.
We stood at the top of the stairs watching everyone settle in. I raked my fingers through my hair and smiled a little as Rafe yelled at someone to move the tents farther
apart.
“This is actually going okay,” I said to Damien, leaning against his side.
He nodded once. “Yeah. They’re listening.”
Then a sing-song voice floated up from the entrance hall.
“Oh Damien…”
The voice sounded sweet and playful. Everyone went quiet at the same time.
A woman walked in through the front doors. She looked like a goddess. Tall and graceful, with long silver-white hair that flowed down her back in soft waves. Her skin glowed like it was lit from inside, smooth and perfect. Her emerald eyes sparkled, and the long green dress she wore hugged her body in a way that made the whole room feel smaller. She moved like she floated.
I furrowed my eyebrows and stared. She was divine, completely ethereal.
Damien went still beside me. When I glanced up, all the color had washed out of his face. He looked pale, shocked, like he’d seen a ghost.
“Damien?” I whispered, grabbing his arm tight.
The woman smiled wide and walked up the stairs, hips swaying smooth with every step. The other alphas stared. Even Kade looked thrown.
She stopped right in front of us and tilted her head.
“Didn’t plan on leaving me now did you?”
Before anyone could speak, she stepped in close and wrapped her arm around

Damien’s waist like it was the most normal thing in the world. Her fingers spread
across his back as she pressed against him.
“Good to see you again, my ex mate.”
