Chapter 255
Chapter 255
The miracle doctor never expected Alicia would figure it out just by smelling the medicine.
His eyes grew cold. “Then tell me, what else do you think is needed as a key ingredient?”
Alicia snorted. “You’re asking me?”
She went on, “If you’re not actually trying to help Nicolas, then stop pretending.
“Now that I’ve called you out, you’re upset? Does that even make sense?”
Nicolas’s mother had always been suspicious of the miracle doctor, and after hearing their exchange, she thought, ‘Just as I expected!
At the same time, she felt relieved she’d brought Alicia along-otherwise, who knows what kind of tricks he would have tried with that so-called secret ingredient.
Her expression hardened as she stared at the miracle doctor, “If you’re not being sincere, then we’ll have no choice but to send Nicole to jail.
“Even if you’ve got someone backing you, the Moore family isn’t a bunch of pushovers.”
“Even if we have to risk everything, including the Moore Group itself, we’ll make sure Nicole faces the legal consequences she deserves.”
If her son didn’t get better, she’d have Nicole thrown in jail on the spot.
No amount of connections could help her now.
Nicole’s face went pale at those words, and Victor’s expression darkened too.
Victor stepped in to defuse the situation. “Aunt, it doesn’t have to go that far.”
Now that Nicole was his fiancée, if she got sent to prison, both he and the Farrell family would be utterly humiliated.
But Nicolas’s mother gave him a cold look. “Don’t call me ‘Aunt. I’m not taking that title from you.”
She’d never liked her husband’s nephew much, just never showed it.
Now, she didn’t bother to hide it.
The Moore family had helped Victor so many times over the years, and yet he still ended up tangled with Nicole.
And now, with Nicolas about to lose his chance to have kids, he still dared to say it wasn’t a

big deal.
She couldn’t help but shoot her husband a glare.
Nicolas’s father felt let down by Victor’s actions.
His face was grim as he said, “Nicolas is the only heir of the Moore family. If anything happens to him, there’s nothing I wouldn’t do.”
Victor’s face changed at those words.
He realized his uncle was blaming him too.
Victor couldn’t help but feel bitter about it all.
If he didn’t go through with this marriage to Nicole, he’d be even more miserable than Nicolas.
At least Nicolas could still sleep with women, even if he couldn’t have kids.
But Victor? He got the worst of both worlds-not only was he infertile, he couldn’t even touch a woman, and he had to deal with that damn illness on top of it.
But there was no way he could say any of this out loud. He’d never live down the shame.
On top of that, Victor noticed the miracle doctor was clearly siding with Nicole.
And with all the influential connections the miracle doctor had, Victor figured he could use him to connect with some powerful people himself.
The miracle doctor’s face darkened as he shot Alicia a glance. “Alright, I wasn’t refusing to provide the key ingredient. I just wanted to see if this girl could figure it out.”
Of course, if Alicia hadn’t figured it out, he never would have brought it up himself.
Alicia motioned for him to begin. “Then, Doctor, let’s see you actually take this treatment seriously for once.”
She
put extra emphasis on the words “take seriously” as she spoke.
His expression soured even further.
He was genuinely worried the Moore family might actually go through with sending Nicole to prison.
He pulled out a knife from the wooden box he carried, then took out a wide porcelain jar.
He cut his finger and let his blood drip straight into the jar.

After filling it halfway, he wrapped up his finger and handed the jar to Alicia. “This is the key ingredient.”
Alicia took the jar and sniffed it. She kept her cool, but inside, she was taken aback.
‘There’s a faint scent in this blood-the same one in the medicine Nicolas was given, and the same scent I noticed right before I died in my past life.
‘So that’s why the miracle doctor was so sure he could cure Nicolas’s infertility.
‘Turns out he’s made himself into a living medicine.
‘He mixed his own blood into the prescription, so if a cure was ever needed, his blood could be used as the key ingredient, Alicia concluded.
And his blood could probably cure all kinds of poisons.
Might even be able to treat major diseases if mixed into the right medicine.
“This guy is ruthless. He must’ve been using himself as a test subject since he was a kid-no wonder he turned into a living antidote,’ Alicia thought.
She was certain he had a habit of mixing his own blood into every single batch of medicine
he made.
He clearly wasn’t afraid she’d analyze his blood-he was just that sure of his own skills.
Alicia handed the jar to Nicolas’s mother. “This is the key ingredient.”
She continued, “Pour the previous medicine into this jar and let it sit for three days before taking it.
“Once he finishes this batch, Nicolas will be fully healed.”
