“Brandon, can you hear me? I’ve put the milk at the door for you.”

He stumbled over and opened the door.
First, he saw a pair of slender, straight legs, a shirt nightdress, and a pair of misty, seductive eyes, half-squinting and smiling, especially beautiful in the dim light.
He was surprised. “Sweetie? Are you back?”

Brandon cupped Shelby’s face in both hands and tilted his head to press down.

Even without looking up, she could recognize who this man was, with his lip line as clear as a knife and pale pink lips.
It was Allen!
Her memory stopped at the moment when Allen carried her out of Akas Restaurant.
She inhaled the aphrodisiac and acted like a wolf that hadn’t eaten for three days.

Did I do anything out of line to Allen?’ she wondered.

Matilda moved her body. Except for being weak, she didn’t feel any pain, so she probably didn’t do anything out of line.
She thought, ‘But why are we lying on the same bed? And one of my legs is on Allen’s waist!’
Just as she was about to take her leg off, she suddenly heard a voice in her ear. “Matilda!”
Although it was soft, it still startled the guilty Matilda, who stared at Allen with wide eyes.
Because they were so close, she saw that Allen, who wasn’t wearing glasses, had clear eyes and looked aggrieved.
Matilda was dazed for a while. ‘What did I do to Allen last night?’
Swallowing hard, Matilda feigned composure and sized up Allen from face to chest.
There were no love bites, no bruises, no evidence of her crime found.
She thought, ‘Could it be that I touched him a bit?
‘Of course, touching is not allowed, either. Touching is molestation!”
Allen said, “Matilda, is there anything you want to say to me?”

Matilda was stunned, not knowing what to say.
Saying thank you seemed too perfunctory.

After pondering for a moment, she changed the subject and said, “My neck has been tilted for too long. I have a stiff neck.”
Then she turned her head, calmly sat up, and got out of bed
She was wearing a hotel bathrobe.
She had no idea if Allen had helped her change it or if a waitress had.
She didn’t dare to ask.
After thinking about it, she felt that she still couldn’t avoid it, so she looked at Allen and asked, “Um, is there anything you want? Within my capabilities.”

He walked up to Matilda, stared into her eyes, and almost said that he wanted her!
But he restrained himself in time.
Brandon had hurt Matilda’s feelings, leaving it riddled with bloody cuts.
If he forcefully tried to interfere, he would not only fail to heal her but also hurt her.
That was not what he wanted.

Allen rubbed Matilda’s messy hair and said in a light and refined voice, “Let me think about it.”
“Okay.” Matilda agreed, feeling relieved.
The two stood face to face for a while.
Matilda said, “I’m going to wash up.”
Entering the bathroom, she saw a pool of clear water in the bathtub.
She guessed that Allen had her take a cold bath last night to relieve her discomfort.
What a gentleman!
She wondered if Brandon, in the same situation, had met a virtuous woman like her.
Matilda walked up to Allen, her eyes flitting around.
She asked, “Can I use your phone?”
Allen didn’t know what Matilda wanted to do, but with him, she could do whatever she wanted.
Without asking anything, he gave his phone to Matilda.
Matilda asked for the unlock code.
Allen said, “1107”
Matilda thought, ‘It’s the same code again. He really is obsessed with it.
Without thinking too much, Matilda dialed Rose Villa’s landline.
It was only five in the morning, and Tully had just gotten up, her voice still showing obvious fatigue.
“Hello, who is this speaking?”
Matilda said softly, “Tully, it’s me, Matilda. It’s something really important, and I hope you can help me.”
Tully was recruited into Rose Villa by Matilda, who offered her a salary that was hard to find in Itera City.
So, she was absolutely loyal to Matilda.
She agreed without hesitation, “Mrs. Grimes, oh, no, Matilda, what is it?”
Matilda asked, “Did Brandon come home last night?”
Tully nodded. “Yes.”
Matilda asked again, “Okay, good. Last night, did he sleep with Shelby?”
“Well…” Tully hesitated for a moment, but decided to tell the truth.
“Ms. Webster entered Mr. Grimes’s room last night and hasn’t come out yet.”
Matilda couldn’t describe how she felt. There was a stinging pain and a sense of relief!

Her voice lowered slightly. “Tully, I beg you to do me a favor. Don’t let Lola wake them up. Call Kathy and tell her…”
Matilda finished instructing Tully and hung up the phone.
She turned to return the phone to Allen.
She then noticed Allen was staring at her intently.
His thin lips curved into a faint smile, and he complimented her generously, “That’s what a goddess should be.”
Kathy was so angered by Matilda that she had a brain hemorrhage and stayed in Saints International Hospital for a month.
On the first day she was discharged, before she could wake up naturally, she received a call from Tully in her sleep.
Tully said, “Mr. Grimes was drunk a few days ago and brought a whore home from a nightclub.
“Fortunately, Shelby was home and drove that woman away.
“However, last night, another woman entered Mr. Grimes’s room and made a lot of noise.
“I was putting Lola to bed and didn’t see who the woman was, but she hasn’t come out yet.”
