Chapter 7

Beatrice gritted her teeth, blocked my path, and dropped to her knees in front of me, kowtowing frantically.

“Autumn, my son is really dying! Please, just use a few needles to save his life! I’ll pay you whatever you want!”

I thought for a moment. “It’s not impossible, but she…”

I pointed at Lily, my eyes turning cold.

“She’s really getting on my nerves. You know what to do, right?”

Charles was the quickest to react, kicking Lily straight into the ice bucket.

“Someone rip out her tongue!”

“Wait,” I frowned. “I don’t care what you do to her afterward, but I don’t want to see any blood while I’m here.”

Lily looked at me desperately, begging for mercy.

“Father, I really know I was wrong! Please spare me – I’ll be your servant for life, I’ll do anything!”

“Gag her!”

Charles looked at her with disgust. He didn’t have time to deal with her properly right now, so he just had someone stuff a dirty rag in her mouth.

I took the silver needles Lucas had brought and walked over to Gabriel.

The needles were thicker than pencils as I drove them into his chest, making his whole body convulse with pain as he screamed.

“Ahhhhh! It hurts so much! I don’t want treatment anymore – let me go!”

But his arms and legs were tied down, stretched out to the limits in opposite directions. His bones looked like they were about to burst through his skin-it was absolutely horrifying.

I ignored his screams until the blood flowing from his chest changed from black to red. Then I inserted a few more needles to stop the bleeding before turning around.

“Your son’s condition is temporarily under control, but this is just treating the symptoms, not the cause. This is only the first step toward a real cure.”

Charles and Beatrice immediately rushed to check on their son, finding that his complexion had improved and he seemed to have more energy.

They ran back to me, thanking me repeatedly.

“Whatever you want, the Blackwood family will move heaven and earth to get it for you!”

Charles pulled out a card with shaking hands and pressed it into mine.

“There’s ten million in here as a down payment for saving my son. When it’s done, I’ll give you another fifty million, plus I’ll grant you one request.”

I looked around at everyone coldly and pocketed the card.

After all, you can piss off anyone, just not money. Besides, even if I saved him, he’d be basically useless for the rest of his life anyway.

“Fine. Then let Lily experience everything I’ve been through – every last bit of it.”

Whether in my past life or this one, Lily had been behind all my suffering. If it weren’t for her, I wouldn’t have gone through hell.

Seeing that I wanted revenge on her, Lily shook her head frantically, terror in her eyes.

“No, you can’t! Mom, Dad, I’m your daughter-in-law! How can you treat me like this!”

“How dare you!”

Charles saw her resistance and smacked her in the face with his cane, scolding her viciously.

“You’ve already had a kid – if you weren’t such a good actress, how would you have had the nerve to enter the Blackwood family? Gabriel got deceived because of you, and we haven’t even settled that score yet. What right do you have to refuse!”

Without another word, he had the bodyguards tie her up and throw her in the well.

I watched it all with cold indifference, yawning.

“It’s getting late. I’m leaving.”

Beatrice tried to stop me. “Why don’t you both stay here? It would be convenient for treating my son, and we’d take excellent care of you.”

I let out a cold laugh. “No thanks. In three days, you can come find me and kowtow ninety-nine times, and then I’ll continue the treatment. Otherwise, I won’t lift a finger.”

Lucas laughed too.

“Stay here so your son can listen to us having sex?”

Gabriel, who had recovered some strength by now, struggled up from the bed and stumbled over to me, staring in disbelief.

–

“Autumn, don’t you love me? Why are you deliberately being with someone else? I can give you anything you want – please come back. Don’t be with this bastard!”

I pried his fingers off me and spoke each word clearly.

“The pain of falling off that cliff – I’ll never forget it for the rest of this life.”

He froze completely.

After being reborn, he’d almost forgotten about that incident.

Hearing me bring it up again, he finally realized how incredibly stupid he’d been.

“Please give me one more chance… I know I was wrong. I couldn’t tell who I really loved. I genuinely want to make things right!”

“If there were regret pills in this world, the first thing I’d do is make sure I never met you.”

I coldly dropped that line and, ignoring Gabriel’s pleas behind me, left with Lucas.
