Chapter 107
Irene’s voice sounded unusually urgent, and Eliana’s attitude instantly turned serious.

She put the call on speaker and switched over to check out the crisis management update about the Eliot Group that Irene had mentioned.
The Eliot Group’s official account had posted several photos of her and Logan taking Samuel out for the day.
Those photos were clearly taken by someone who had been following them on purpose.
So Logan hadn’t insisted on coming along to help with Samuel just because he was worried she couldn’t handle things alone after the surgery. He’d planned it all along, just to get those shots
Honestly, the moment Eliana saw those photos, she was so pissed that she was left speechless.
After that video of Logan deliberately making things hard for her at the hospital, claiming she was pregnant and then apologizing, blew up online, tons of people had sided with her, thinking she’d been totally wronged in this marriage.
But now, with the Eliot Group posting those pictures and going out of their way to say they were all lovey–dovey, and that the whole video thing was just a misunderstanding, the internet totally turned on her.
Eliana scrolled through the comments, her eyes turning icy in an instant.
Some people called her an attention seeker, others blamed her for playing with everyone’s feelings, saying she had it coming for crawling back to Logan and deserved whatever misery she got.
The comments section was instantly swarmed with all sorts of toxic, vicious words.
Eliana stared at the barrage of hate, her throat tight, feeling utterly powerless and frustrated, like she couldn’t even breathe.
It wasn’t until Irene’s voice broke through that Eliana snapped back to reality. She gritted her teeth and muttered, “He’s even more of a scumbag than I thought.
“Samuel called me, saying he missed me. I’m his mom, after all. just can’t turn my back on him. He said he was worried about Samuel’s eyes and insisted on tagging along, so I didn’t think twice about it.
“But who would’ve thought he had something like this up his sleeve?”
By the end, Eliana’s voice started to crack. Being made a fool of like this was just crushing.
After everything she’d been through, even getting a second chance at life, Logan still managed to mess with her. It just made everything feel even worse.
Irene was pissed too, and started cussing Logan out right there on the phone.
After she finished going off on him and was about to ask Eliana to meet up and talk strategy, Eliana saw an official call from the company pop up on her screen.
“Hey, Irene, I’ll talk to you in a bit. I need to take this call,” Eliana said.
With that, Eliana hung up on Irene and answered the incoming call.
Listening to the police officer on the other end, she realized they d finally found the person who had tried to ram into them with a car back in Zrand.
When the officer asked her to come in and cooperate with the investigation, Eliana didn’t hesitate. She headed over immediately.

Chapter 107
When she arrived, Eliana saw Nathan right away as she got out of the car.
Since Nathan was also a victim in that accident, Eliana didn’t overthink it and asked, “Did you get the call too?”
Nathan glanced at her and just grunted in response.
Eliana frowned, wondering what she’d done to get on his nerves again.

But right now, she didn’t have the energy to worry about why he was pissed off. Eliana was way more focused on finding out who was behind that car attack, who hated her enough to want her gone for good.
Secing Nathan’s cold, distant vibe, Eliana didn’t bother with any more small talk. She walked in without another word, not wasting any more time on him.
Nathan stood there, watching her go, his chest aching with anger
He’d already been fuming when he saw those photos the Eliot Group posted online today.
He’d thought she might at least try to explain herself when they ran into each other here, but she just walked right past him without a word.
But then again, he thought, ‘We aren’t even together anymore. Why should she owe me an explanation?‘
Nathan let out a self–mocking chuckle, took a deep breath to steakly himself, and then followed her inside.
The moment Eliana saw that Isabella was the culprit, she didn’t even bat an eye.
If anything, what really surprised her was that Logan hadn’t bothered to get involved at all.
Seriously, Eliana had already guessed it was Isabella. No one else hated her enough to go all the way to Zrand just to mess with her.
So when the officer told her it was Isabella, Eliana just nodded.
She’d always thought that even if Isabella was behind it, Logan would pull some strings to cover it up.
Nobody got killed, and the rental company had already found a scapegoat to take the fall.
So seeing Isabella actually taken into custody was something Eliana really hadn’t expected.
Back in her previous life, watching Logan dote on Isabella, Eliana had honestly thought he was obsessed with her, like she was the one he could never have, his unattainable beloved one.
But now, seeing it for what it is, it’s really nothing to write home about.
If Isabella did this on purpose, it was a criminal offense, and what Eliana and Nathan decided to do next really mattered.
Eliana wasn’t the type to forgive and forget. She was going to sue Isabella for trying to hurt her on purpose.
Nathan was totally on board.
Once everything was sorted out and Eliana had given her statement, she was about to head out.
But just as she got up, she hesitated, then turned to the officer behind her. “Sorry, could I see Isabella for a minute?”
Once the officer agreed, Eliana followed him to where Isabella was being held.
Nathan didn’t really know what Eliana was planning, but he just stayed put, almost on instinct. He couldn’t help worrying she might get pushed around in there.

He knew it was probably pointless to worry in a place like this, but for some reason, he still felt uneasy, like something was
off.
Watching Eliana head inside, Nathan frowned and leaned against the wall by the door, feeling all kinds of annoyed for no reason. Seriously, what could she even have to say to Isabella?
Inside, Isabella totally lost it as soon as she saw Eliana walk in.
“What do you want? Did you come here just to watch me fall apart?” Isabella yelled at her, practically screaming, her voice cracking with rage and humiliation.
After Isabella realized the cops had pinned the hit–and–run on her, she knew she was totally screwed.
And when it became clear Logan wasn’t coming to save her, Isabella just gave up completely.
Isabella knew Eliana would never let her walk away from this, so all she could do now was hold onto the last bit of pride she had left.
