Eliana had been so caught up in her fun with Irene that she didn’t even check who was calling before answering.
It wasn’t until Logan’s voice came through the line that her brows knitted together.
“Eliana, seriously? You had to call the cops over something this trivial?” Logan’s voice was laced with irritation.
It was obvious the police had already reached out to him, and now he was clearly pissed.
Eliana couldn’t help but find his attitude downright ridiculous.
She snapped, “You can go ahead and post all that nonsense without even asking me, but I can’t call the cops? Seriously?
“Logan, don’t forget we’re still in the middle of a divorce case. Is posting those photos really appropriate right now?
“All I’m asking is for you to take those photos down. I’m already being more than reasonable.
“I don’t have time to waste on this. If you think you’re in the right, take it up with the police. Just stop bothering me.”
With that, Eliana hung up on him.
Irene, listening from the side, couldn’t help but give Eliana a big thumbs–up. “Eliana, seriously, you’re handling this like a
boss.
“Logan’s the type who just walks all over people if you let him. He doesn’t even care that those photos he posted got everyone trashing you, and he still has the nerve to act like he’s the victim?
“That’s exactly how you should deal with him. No mercy for guys like that.”
Eliana smiled and nodded. “Thank goodness Mr. Luther had my back. Without his advice, I would’ve been totally lost.
“When you first told me about this yesterday, my mind just went blank.
“He keeps proving he can sink even lower. Using the kids as pawns. It’s just unbelievable.”
“Seriously,” Irene agreed, rolling her eyes. She couldn’t stand Logan, not even a little, making that a million times over.
Every time Irene thought about how Logan had treated Eliana these past six years, it made her blood boil.
Irene said, “Eliana, no offense, but I honestly think Logan is the most selfish guy ever.
“But he’s really good at fooling people, so it’s no wonder you couldn’t see through him before.
“I don’t know what finally made you realize what he’s really like, but for real, I’m genuinely happy for you.”
Eliana listened to Irene and replied seriously, “I don’t think you’re being harsh at all. Honestly, I’ve got even meaner things I could say about him right now.
“Back when I saw how he treated Isabella, I always thought she was his true love, and they just missed their shot back in the day.
“But now I realize the only person he’s ever truly cared about is himself.
“If it ever came down to saving himself or Isabella, he’d pick himself without a second thought.
“Good thing I finally woke up to the truth” Eliana let out a long sigh.

Irene nodded, noticing Eliana was still feeling a bit low. She was just about to say something to cheer her up when she realized all the posts she’d been watching had suddenly vanished
A big smile broke out on Irene’s face. “That’s awesome, Eliana! He actually took those photos down. See? We didn’t have to lift a finger, and now the whole narrative online has changed.”
[Where did all those photos go? I was just about to drag Eliana again today, and now they’re gone. What’s up with that? Does anyone know?]
[Yeah, seriously, why did they get deleted so fast? Is there something wrong with those pics or what?]
[I heard Eliana called the cops and even hired a lawyer to go after Logan for divorce. No way they’d be acting all lovey–dovey right now. Who even knows when those photos were taken?]
[True, after being married for years, it’s normal to have a few couple pics. But posting them now is just so manipulative. He is clearly trying to make everyone think they’re still together.
[And when everyone was trashing Eliana yesterday, he didn’t say a word to defend her.]
[Like he’d ever defend her. He just wants to throw her under the bus to save himself. Remember that video? He got roasted online, so he dropped those photos to make it look like he and Eliana are still a happy couple.]
[This guy is creepy as hell. Eliana, you need to get that divorce ASAP. Hope the court rules in your favor. Seriously, I can’t imagine living with someone like him. Gives me chills.]
[Preach…]
Eliana and Irene scrolled through the comments and saw tons just like these. The comment section was flooded with takes dragging Logan, and his reputation had totally tanked.
Irene said, “Eliana, did you catch that? Someone is totally steering the narrative here. I wouldn’t be surprised if Nathan was behind it. Sure, Logan is an easy target right now, but I’ve never seen him get roasted this hard, this fast.
“There’s definitely some behind–the–scenes manipulation going on. No way this just happened on its own.
“But honestly, props to whoever pulled this off. Logan really brought this mess on himself.”
Eliana let out a long sigh as she scrolled through the comments. Honestly, what matters most to me right now is my divorce case. As long as none of this mess gets in the way, I’m fine.”
“Don’t worry, it won’t. If anything, Logan’s little stunt just makes it even more obvious to the judge that things are really over between you two. Your chances of getting that divorce just shot up,” Irene said.
Irene was a total pro at this, so hearing her say that made Eliana finally relax. “I’m in such a good mood right now, Irene. Come on, let me have a bite of your food. Let’s celebrate!”
But before Eliana could even finish, Irene guarded her food like a dragon hoarding treasure, snapping the lids shut and pulling everything close.
“Irene!” Eliana stared at her, torn between laughing and crying at Irene’s dramatic food defense.
“Hands off? If you want to eat, go get your own. Everything Sarah gave me is strictly off–limits,” Irene declared.
“Look at you,” Eliana teased, but honestly, she couldn’t help but feel for Irene. “If you love it that much, just say the word, and I’ll bring you some every day. Seriously, it’s no trouble at all
“Deal! You better not flake on me,” Irene replied, still grinning.
Irene kept joking around, but before she could say anything else the ringing phone on the table cut her off.

Meanwhile, in the CEO’s office at Turner Group, Bobby was scrolling through the latest posts with a serious look. “Mr. Turner, Logan has been dragged all over the internet right now
Nathan nodded. “Did you leak the info as I asked? Has he come to us yet?”
“Yeah, the word’s out. Logan hasn’t reached out so far, but I bet he’ll come knocking before the day’s over,” Bobby replied.
Nathan nodded. “Stay sharp. Don’t let him slip away. We need him to walk right into our trap.”
He couldn’t wait for Logan to take the bait. Then, he’d ready to force him that divorce.
