Chapter 80
With that, Logan didn’t stick around. He got up, walked out of the conference room, and leaded straight for his offere Andrew hurried after him.
Once they were inside, Logan turned to Andrew and said, “Figure out how much the Eliot Group has put into this project sex
far.”
Andrew had already crunched the numbers, but the figure was so astronomical that he’d been too nervous to bring it to Logan
If the Eliot Group really had to eat this loss, the directors had every reason to worry, the company’s cash flow could totally collapse.
But if the Eliot family had to cover it out of their own pockets, it would take a major hit to their finances. And there was no way Logan could pay for it himself. He’d have to ask his family for help..
Given how Jack felt about Logan, Logan was in for an even rougher ride.
“Is something wrong?” Logan asked, seeing Andrew just standing there, looking hesitant.
Feeling nervous, Andrew finally handed the documents over to Logan.
“Mr. Eliot, here’s the breakdown for the Westridge project. I’ve already taken out the venture capital investment. This is all the money the Eliot Group put in directly,” Andrew said, his voice a little uneasy.
“You already had it ready? Why did you wait so long to show it to me?” Logan said, taking the document and flipping through it.
Andrew had put together a detailed breakdown, with every expense clearly accounted for and backed up by records.
Logan had always trusted Andrew to handle things well, so he didn’t bother checking the details. He just turned straight to the end to see the total.
When he saw the number: 20 million, his face went pale. Such a huge amount of liquid cash was no small matter for their
company.
These days, most companies looked rich on paper, but actually freeing up that much cash in one go was a real challenge.
They’d invested that money into the Westridge project because they were banking on the projected profits. And with that project, they’d been able to qualify for bigger loans.
But now that the project had fallen through, expecting him to make up the deficit from his personal funds all at once was nearly impossible.
Logan was having a hard time accepting it, so he anxiously flipped through the earlier pages again.
He’d figured that with the venture capital backing them, the Eliot Group wouldn’t have to put in much of their own money. But he’d totally underestimated the situation.
“Just leave.” Logan shot Andrew a dark look, clearly in a foul mood.
Once Andrew left, Logan picked up his phone. He hesitated for ages, torn about what to do, but finally decided to call Eliana. Right now, teaming up with her was his only shot at saving the situation.
But right as he was about to hit call, all those vows he’d sworn to Eliana came flooding back, stinging him like a slap to the

Logan wavered again and again, but in the end, he just couldn’t do it. Instead of calling he dated 11 retorn

“Why do you suddenly need that much cash? What happened? Is something wrong with the company? Hannah xxted sounding anxious.
“Yeah, the company’s facing a huge shortfall, and it’s all on me. I messed up, so I need to cover it myself just tell had m borrowing it, I’ll pay you both back, I swear,” Logan said seriously.
Hannah caught on right away. “Is this about the Westridge project? Did you seriously give the land back to the Lyons fondly
“What’s going on with Eliana? Does she really not care about this family, about you, or the kids anymore?
“Don’t be in such a hurry to fix this mess. Go talk to Eliana. I don’t buy that she’d really just turn her back on the family. “If she’s willing to give the land back, we’ll just act like none of this ever happened, and you two can continue to live a good life,” Hannah said.
Hannah had her own agenda. She’d always wanted Logan to marry Isabella, but after all this, she was totally done with her
Losing 5 million and becoming the butt of every joke in their circle made Hannah realize she really didn’t want to shell out any more cash to cover Logan’s losses.
If she kept bailing him out, it would become a vicious cycle: her money draining away, and she’d be looked down upon even more by the other society wives.
Since she’d already crossed Isabella off her list for daughter–in–law, she figured she might as well bring Eliana back. At least Eliana was sensible and easy to handle, Hannah could keep her under her thumb.
“Mom…” Logan started, but Hannah clearly wasn’t in the mood to listen. She hung up on him before he could say another word.
Seeing that Hannah wasn’t going to help, Logan felt his heart sink even further. Thinking it through, he realized Hannah’s suggestion wasn’t such a bad idea after all.
Maybe this was a good opportunity to go see Eliana. If he extended an olive branch, she might be willing to take it.
Eliana hadn’t been home for a while, and the whole place was a mess. Logan was already fed up. Seeing how Samuel was yesterday made it clear to him just how much Eliana had put up with in this family.
Given all that, maybe it wouldn’t be so bad if he took the first step. After psyching himself up and steeling his nerves, Logan finally called Eliana.
Eliana picked up right away, her voice cold and businesslike. “Mr. Eliot, is there something you need?”
Hearing how distant and formal she sounded, Logan was caught off guard. He paused for a moment before finally saying, “Do you have a minute? There’s something I’d like to discuss with you.”
“Sorry, Mr. Eliot, I’m tied up right now. If you need something, just go through my assistant,” Eliana said.
“Eliana, are you really going to act like this? We’re still married,” Logan said, his voice tight with frustration.
“Does it even matter? We’re about to get divorced. And didn’t you say it yourself, Mr. Eliot? Even if we’re married, there
