As soon as Logan dropped, Jack finally stopped what he was doing and fixed his gaze on him. “Do you understand what you did wrong?” he asked sternly.
Seeing Logan remain silent, Jack continued, “If you can’t figure it out, then stay there. You’re not getting up until you do.”
Hannah clenched her fists, worry and anger written all over her face. She said sharply, “Logan, did you see that video online? We brought you back today because we need to know what really happened.
“Why would you do something like that in front of everyone?
“Now it’s all over the internet. Do you realize the Eliot family is practically a laughingstock?”
Logan had known all along that this was why they’d called him back, but when it came to this, he just couldn’t find the words.
Ever since it happened, he was still a mess inside. There was no way he could even face telling them about it.
But the more he kept quiet, the angrier Jack became.
Aurora watched Jack’s expression grow darker, her worry obvious.
She couldn’t help but say softly, “Logan, maybe you should just tell Mom and Dad what’s going on. Keeping quiet won’t solve anything, and Dad’s just going to get even more pissed.”
Logan really hadn’t planned on saying anything, but as soon as Aurora said that, he couldn’t help but feel a wave of anger rising up inside him.
“Aurora, you seriously have the nerve to say that?” Logan shot back.
He said, “If you hadn’t been making stuff up, would I ever have thought she was pregnant with Nathan Turner’s baby?
“You’re the one who kept insisting she was pregnant, weren’t you?”
Logan’s anger finally boiled over, and he couldn’t help but snap at her.
“Turns out she wasn’t even pregnant!” Logan snapped.
“Aurora, are you out of your mind? She just got wasted at the party and puked, and you instantly decided she was pregnant. Seriously, try using your head for once, will you?
“Not even a shred of proof, and you still went around acting like you knew everything. Guess I had it coming for actually believing you.”
Aurora was caught off guard by Logan snapping at her.
She honestly believed Eliana was pregnant. Otherwise, she couldn’t figure out why Eliana would have the guts

But instead of owning up to it, Aurora fired back at Logan, “So, you’re calling me out now? I was just making a guess, and you didn’t even try to find out the truth yourself before buying into it.

As she spoke, Aurora shot a nervous glance at Jack, clearly worried the blame might land on her next.
Watching his kids go at each other like this, Jack grew even angrier.
He slammed his cane down on the floor and barked at them, “Just look at yourselves. Is this how you’re supposed to act?
“You’re members of the Eliot family, and you’re fighting over something this petty? What kind of example is
this?
“Get yourselves outside and stand there until I say otherwise.”
Hannah felt a wave of unease as she listened to Jack. Instinctively, she wanted to step in and stop him.
But seeing how pissed off he was, she just couldn’t bring herself to say anything. She just frowned hard and let out a heavy sigh.
Thinking about how Eliana had gone after Logan so fiercely in that video, Hannah was so mad she could barely contain herself.
Looked like, as Eliana’s mother–in–law, she really needed to sit her down for a real talk.

Aurora felt this was so unfair. She was caught up in this mess for no reason at all.

Aurora said, “Seriously, Logan, I used to think you were so generous. You ran the company like a pro, kept everything at home in perfect order.
“And honestly, you always seemed like one of those super successful people, as if you were living above the

“But this past month, it’s like you’ve turned into a whole different person.
“You’re so petty now, and honestly, you’ve gotten really stingy. Even the company’s been running into problems.
“I know it was dumb to just assume she was pregnant, but I honestly couldn’t think of any other reason. You

“Just think about how she used to act around Mom and me. But that day, she barely even looked at me, and when I called her out, she actually had the nerve to argue back and mouth off at me.

He shot her a sharp look, frowning. “Aurora, she’s your sister–in–law, not the Eliot family’s maid. Just how do you expect her to talk to you?
“Let me get this straight. You can yell at her, but she’s not allowed to talk back?”
Aurora was caught off guard by Logan’s words.
She looked at him, surprised. “Logan, what’s gotten into you? Wasn’t it you who told Eliana, your sister–in–law, to always be respectful to you and speak nicely to me?
“You were the one who set those rules. After all these years, I just got used to her treating me that way. Is it so wrong that I feel weird when she suddenly acts differently?”
As she spoke, Aurora couldn’t help but frown and say, “Logan, don’t you think you’re acting kind of strange?
“You’ve been married for six years, and your kid’s already five. Are you only now realizing how she’s been treated in this family?
“So, now you suddenly feel bad for her?
“What about the last six years? Were you just clueless, or did you just not care?”
Aurora muttered under her breath, “If you’re only realizing this now, then I totally get why Eliana wants a divorce.
“Honestly, if I were her, I’d leave you, too.”
Logan frowned, unable to hold back. “What did you just say?” he demanded.
Aurora mumbled, suddenly embarrassed. “Nothing.”
Logan and Aurora stayed there all night, and it wasn’t until early morning that someone finally came to open the door.
