Chapter 79
Damien’s POV
“You never mentioned to me how thin these walls are, and you let me
make noise every time,” Freda said, coming into the room. She stood
from me, but I could still see the faint red creeping up her
cheeks, and I smiled.
far away
“Come here.”
She made her way slowly toward me.
“What did you hear this time? Was it Christie? Besides, it’s a good thing for everyone to know who you belong to.”
She scoffed–actually scoffed at my words.
‘I mean, you’re my mate. That’s enough indication. You didn’t have to
make me… so loud.”
Chuckling, I wrapped my arms around her. I’d always known how thin the walls were, but my chambers were at a distance from the rest of the castle. Did she make so much noise that people took notice? Even if she did, they wouldn’t dare say a word outside to her. Now I

wondered who told her. I raised her head so she could stare at my
face.
“What?” She asked, eyebrows raised.
She looked like she was getting into the mood to argue, and it only made me laugh.
“Your laughter is pretty.”
I bent my head to place a kiss on her temple. “You are pretty.”
She turned every shade of red. It was the first time I’d called her
pretty. I’d used other endearing terms, but pretty wasn’t one of them.
“Thank you,” she stuttered.
I grinned. “How was your massage? To your liking, I suppose, because
you look rather radiant than relaxed.”
I teased. I took her lips before she could say anything or push me
away. Her soft sounds were music as I claimed her mouth, her body
going limp with pleasure from just a kiss. It excited me how fast she
fell under my touch. Her hands came up to my chest, and I thought
she wanted to pull me closer, but she pushed me away.

With a confused expression, I stood there staring at her swollen lips.
“Don’t you want me?”
She shook her head, then nodded. She was confusing me.
“Out with it, Freda.” I was growing impatient.
“I was told to stay away from… intimacy for now.”
My mouth curved into an O shape before I relaxed and smiled. “That’s
fine. There are certainly other ways we could seek pleasure. As long
as you’re not pushing me away because you don’t want me, but
because of your instructions, then permit me to show you.”
I stretched forth my hand, but she shook her head.
“What is it, Freda?” I felt rejected.
“It won’t be enough without you inside me, Damien. Whatever you’re
going to do won’t be enough.”
She stared right into my soul. Lucky for me, I was quick to react, or
my mouth would have remained open. I’d never been harder. She
looked so innocent telling me to my face that if I didn’t take her
completely, she wouldn’t be satisfied.

“What’s funny?”
Only then did I realize I’d been laughing. “I’m sorry. Nothing. You just
halted all thoughts in my head with that statement.”
It was true. I’d stopped thinking for a minute. She was too endearing.
“Come. Let’s soak in the hot tub while we talk. I have a few things to
tell you.”
Her eyes grew wide, and I wondered what thoughts she was having.
“Without clothes on?”
My brows raised on their own. “Definitely not.”
I took the initiative to remove my clothes first. She watched me, her
eyes never leaving my body, so I took my time removing my bottoms.
She brought out her tongue to wet her lower lip, and I almost
groaned. She was teasing me too–I could tell from the look in her
eyes that she knew what she was doing to me.
“Won’t you take the bottoms off, or do you plan to soak in those as
well?”
I grinned. She was teasing, but I didn’t mind. My fingers slipped into

the waistband as I pulled it down, revealing my arousal. I stared at
her face and knew she wanted it. She was close to ignoring the
instructions she’d been given. As much as I wanted her to, it would
only mean I was hurting her body, and I didn’t want that.
“Just undress and come meet me.”
I made my way toward the bathroom. There was another door that led
to a hot bath. I pushed the door open and went inside. The maids
would have prepared this bath, but since it was the first time I’d be
using it with Freda, I’d prepared it myself and waited for her in it.
She walked toward the bath, and my body paid attention to hers. The
reflection of the light on the water reached her eyes. I stretched my
hands forth, pulling her close. I turned her so she could rest against
- me. I would have loved to touch her all over, but now wasn’t the time.
“Your people shall be arriving at the castle at dawn.”
She spun around to face me. “Why so fast? I mean, I haven’t had time
to prepare myself.”
I sighed. “You can do that now. They’ll be here for a week. I know you
miss your family, but don’t meet them alone.”
I made sure she understood my words.
