Nathan suddenly collapsed. Paramedics immediately rushed over and lifted him onto a stretcher.

I sat on a bench outside the operating room, calling Marcus repeatedly.

He lay in bed looking extremely weak.
Seeing me, his eyes immediately lit up.
“Jade, you came. How are you?”
“I’m fine.”
I looked at him coldly. “I’ve arranged for a nurse to take care of you. She’ll be here soon.”
“What about you? Won’t you stay and take care of me?”
Nathan’s voice began to break. “Every time I was sick or hurt before, you’d stay by my side, didn’t you?”
“Nathan, that was before. Now I have nothing to do with you.”
“But you still care about me, don’t you? Otherwise you wouldn’t have come to save me today.”
“If Isabella hadn’t contacted me, I never would have come! I didn’t come because of you-I came because it was a human life. Even if the kidnapped person had been a complete stranger, as long as they asked me, I would have gone to help! Do you understand?”
Nathan stared at me in disbelief.
“You said who kidnapped me? Isabella? It was actually Isabella?”
Since Nathan had been unconscious when Isabella revealed herself, he had no idea she was behind his kidnapping.

I sighed. “She took the fifty million I paid and ran. Remember to pay me back.”
I started to leave, but he called out again.

Hearing this, Nathan shook his head with tears in his eyes. “I’m sorry. I really know I was wrong. I know it was my fault-she feceived me. But please believe me, I’m already preparing to divorce her. I won’t have anything more to do with her. Please give me another chance. When I get out of the hospital, we’ll get married immediately. I promised you-I said I’d marry you when you turned thirty-”
