The flight to Moonland Pack, delayed by weather, finally took off from the airport at dawn the next day.
Emily sat by the window, watching the city receding in the distance.
The familiar scenery gradually shrank until she could no longer see it.
All she could see were endless mountains and clouds.
As the plane climbed higher, Emily felt she had truly left.
This was the first time in her life she had gone to a Pack other than the Royal Pack and the Hidemoon Pack.
This was a life plan she had never considered before, and it required a courage she had always lacked.
Emily often wondered what would have happened if she hadn’t lost her memories or her wolf.
Perhaps she would still be trapped in the cage she had built for herself.
But on second thought, perhaps only by changing could she realize that letting go wasn’t so painful.
After realizing that those she loved didn’t love her back, she chose to leave peacefully.
She no longer held any expectations for Simon or her parents.
Expectations lead to disappointment, so she simply chose not to have any.
Unexpectedly, this choice brought her neither pain nor regret, leaving only relief.
And a quiet, yet steadily growing anticipation.
With this thought, the gloom in Emily’s heart dissipated.
She took out her phone and looked again at some tourist attractions she had bookmarked.
She started planning where to go.
Before she knew it, the plane landed.
The cabin door slowly opened. Emily took a deep breath, pulled her suitcase, and walked towards the baggage claim to retrieve her luggage.
The long flight had made her tired, causing her to stumble. Her suitcase bumped hard against a man’s leg.
“I’m so sorry!”
Emily hastily looked up to apologize.
The moment she saw the man’s face, her breath hitched.
Looking into his eyes, she felt a spark ignite in her heart.
“Mate! True mate!” A scream exploded in her mind, it was her wolf, back.
Her wolf had returned, bringing this dizzying news.
The man was tall and slender, with deep eyes, a gentle smile on his lips, and an aura of elegance and composure.
He was incredibly handsome, unforgettable.
“It’s alright.”
The man bent down gentlemanly to help her straighten her suitcase.
After thanking him, Emily quickly took her luggage and left.
She had just left a failed bonding, and hadn’t decided whether to accept another mate.
She didn’t see the man staring at her retreating figure until she disappeared.
Stepping out of the airport, a warm breeze greeted her.
She came to her senses.
She had truly left everything behind, and a sense of relief washed over her.
Her phone rang-it was Zoe.

Emily, why are you suddenly in Moonland Pack? Did something happen?”
Her friend’s anxious voice came from the receiver. “I saw your location on your social media, and I was shocked!”
Emily looked at the bustling streets in the distance and said softly, “I severed the mate bond with Simon. I came to Moonland Pack to get away
from him.
There was a brief silence on the other end, followed by Zoe’s incredulous voice: “Didn’t you love him the most? How suddenly…”
That was in the past.
Emily gave a wry smile, recalling Simon’s tender gaze towards Clara.
He loves Clara, and I don’t want to force myself to be a mate he doesn’t love anymore. After so many years, I’ve figured it out. I should live for myself
“When I last saw Simon, I suddenly felt nothing, neither love nor hate. I’ve let go. He doesn’t love me, that’s a fact. He has someone else in his heart, and I bless them. I accept this imperfect ending and let go of my past obsession.”
Zoe sighed. “I knew Simon didn’t cherish you. But it’s good.
Leaving the wrong person allows you to meet the right one.”
Do you remember our promise? Come and help me. I’m a Beta in Moonland Pack now, and I need a reliable assistant. How about you come and help me? You were a future lycan Queen, you can definitely help me manage Moonland Pack’s regular affairs.”
Emily was stunned.
Once, for Simon, she had given up becoming a lycan Queen, willing to be a wolfless Luna.
Now, hearing her friend’s offer, she felt a faint stirring in her heart.
She had originally planned to come to Moonland Pack to have fun and relax, but the job opportunity intrigued her.
However, she had some concerns.
It had been a long time since she had commanded any werewolves.
“Zoe, are you serious?” she tightened her grip on her phone.
“Of course! I’ve wanted to poach you for a long time. If you agree, you can start as my deputy tomorrow.”
Zoe’s voice was excited.”There are many opportunities here. With your abilities, you’ll quickly challenge the alpha. Maybe in less than a year, you’ll become the lycan Queen!”
Listening to her friend’s affirmation, Emily took a deep breath.
She had once thought that losing Simon meant losing the world, but now she realized that life had countless possibilities.
From now on, she would live for herself.
As for love, maybe one day in the future, she would meet someone who truly cherished and loved her.
But right now, she looked forward to finding her confident and independent self again in her new Pack’s career.
