The lawyer quickly replied:

[Okay, Ms. Davis, will prepare the documents promptly..]

Emily put away her phone and looked out the window at the fleeting scenery.

Amnesia was a chance given to her by fate, a chance to completely escape and start a new life.

‘Don’t go home first,’ she suddenly said to the driver. Go to the Pack Transfer Center.'”

The driver was clearly startled.

He glanced at her through the rearview mirror, but still respectfully said, “Yes, ma’am.”

The procedures at the Pack Transfer Center went smoothly.

The staff told her that someone from her new Pack would pick her up in two weeks.

Getting into the car, Emily hesitated for a moment before speaking.”Don’t tell Mr. Smith about today.”

The driver’s grip on the steering wheel tightened.”Ma’am, Mr. Smith always… doesn’t allow us to mention his mate in front of him.”

Emily leaked a bitter smile.

So Simon disliked her to this extent, he didn’t even want to hear her name.

Returning to the villa, Emily stood at the entrance hall, looking around.

This home was both familiar and unfamiliar.

Familiar because every detail matched her aesthetic, unfamiliar because it was deserted, as if no one had lived here.

She gently stroked the embroidered pillow on the sofa, thinking that when she had decorated this home, she must have happily anticipated a happy life with Simon.

In the bonding photo hanging on the wall, her eyes were full of love as she looked at Simon, while the handsome alpha’s face was only cold.

Emily shook her head and went upstairs.

Entering the bedroom, Emily subconsciously opened a drawer, and a leather-bound diary fell to the ground.

Opening the first page, the crooked handwriting seemed to be written while drunk:

[Today is my first day bonding with Simon. He didn’t say a word and went straight to the study room. It’s okay, I’ll wait.]

Turning the pages, each entry was like a knife, stabbing fiercely into her heart:

[37th time binding my wolf, he still didn’t come to see me. The assistant said Clara had a fever, and he stayed by her bedside all night. I lay in the Witch Care Center, applying herbs that burned my skin, until dawn.]

[89th time, I bound my wolf again. When I woke up, I heard him on the phone in the hallway, saying “Let her die.” At that moment, I understood that what’s more painful than the burning herbs is hearing the one you love most hoping for your death.]

[108th time, I decided to give up. If it doesn’t work this time, I’ll just disappear completely. Anyway, no one in this world really cares about me.]

Emily slammed the diary shut, her chest feeling as if it had been ripped open.

The scars from those burns on her body silently testified to her past despair.

She slowly knelt down, hugging her knees.

“For three years, we’ve lived so humbly, like a dog begging for mercy, just to get a glance from him,” her wolf whimpered, her eyes wet.

The intense emotional turmoil brought Emily’s wolf back to her side once again.

“It’s okay,” Emily wiped away her tears, put the diary back in the drawer, comforting herself and her wolf. “Emily, it’s okay that no one loves

you.”

Moonlight streamed in from the window, casting a small patch of light at her feet.

“As long as you love yourself, you haven’t lost.”

Emily stayed in the empty villa for a few days, and Simon never returned.

Without memories, without love, she didn’t find being alone unbearable at all.

Instead, she felt it was good to quietly wait for the werewolves from her new Pack to pick her up.

Until her mother’s call broke the silence.
