The sports car stopped in front of a Chinese restaurant. William unbuckled his seatbelt and turned to Emily in the passenger seat. “My dearest alpha of Moonland Pack, Emily, I performed so well today, is there any reward?” Emily closed the file in her hand and raised an eyebrow. “Why should there be a reward?”
“I diligently played the role of your future mate and successfully drove away your ex-mate.”
“Did you really investigate me?”
Emily pretended to be angry. After collaborating with William several times, their interactions had become much more relaxed. Seeing how quickly he had recognized Simon, she couldn’t help but ask.
“Your information was easy to find, don’t blame me.”
William said with feigned grievance, “But I deserve a reward for my hard work, right?”
Emily was used to his whimsical nature. She smiled helplessly.”Fine, what do you want?”
“Dinner! At that new restaurant.”
William had already opened the car door, went around to the other side to open the door for her, and extended his hand gentlemanly.
