Chapter 174 A Favor to Ask
Finishes
This was the first time he had seen Tracy come looking for Mr. Johnson. Tracy had been hospitalized for three days, and Mr. Johnson had stayed with her for two of them.
Now, she was even coming to the company to find Mr. Johnson. He was truly surprised. He had always thought Mr. Johnson’s feelings were unrequited.
After all, Tracy had just freed herself from a marriage; she definitely wouldn’t be in a hurry to trust in love again.
Who knew Mr. Johnson had so much charm? Could Tracy have been conquered by Mr. Johnson so quickly?
Only now did Tracy feel a bit awkward. She smiled sheepishly. “Yes. Is he in his office right now?”
She didn’t explain further, nor did she hide it, generously admitting she was here to see Sean.
Gary nodded quickly. “He is. Mr. Johnson is in his office handling documents. I’ll take you there.”
Gary led Tracy into the lobby, swiped for the president’s private elevator, and went straight to the 33rd- floor executive office.
The receptionist was dumbfounded. Watching Assistant Jiang’s respectful manner toward Tracy, she began whispering with the person next to her.
“Hey, who do you think that woman is? Assistant Jiang was so respectful to her, and he even let her take the president’s private elevator upstairs.”
“She couldn’t be Mr. Johnson’s girlfriend, could she? Last time, Mr. Johnson personally clarified he had no engagement with the White family. Could it have been for this woman?”
“Her clothes and style look pretty ordinary, not like a high–society lady. She didn’t get Mr. Johnson’s favor by climbing into his bed, did she?”
“Ah? Gained his favor by climbing into his bed? Then it definitely won’t last. After all, Mr. Johnson and Miss White are childhood sweethearts. He’s just been bewitched by this woman for now. He’ll have to marry into the White family sooner or later.”
Tracy followed Gary into the elevator, her heart pounding, and her palms sweating nervously.
This was the first time she had actively sought out Sean, and her first time coming to Johnson Corp, so it was inevitable that she would be nervous.
When they reached the 33rd floor, the elevator doors opened, and Gary walked out. Tracy felt her palms sweating even more.
The staff in the executive office greeted Gary. “Didn’t you just head out? How are you back so soon?
That person noticed Tracy’s presence, curiously sizing her up before asking, “And this is?”
Gary’s face turned serious as he chided, “Just do your work. Don’t pry into things that aren’t your business.

Get back to work.”
Finished
The person pouted and quickly returned to work. Tch, what’s the big deal? If you don’t want us to ask, then fine.
Tracy glanced at Gary. She hadn’t expected that someone who seemed so gentle in private could also be so serious at work.
Hmm, Sean has good judgment. The assistant he picked is quite capable.
She followed Gary to the door of Sean’s office. Gary knocked, and Sean’s cold, clear voice came from inside. “Enter”
Gary opened the door for Tracy, then turned to the side and made a “please” gesture. “Ms. Xander, Mr. Johnson is inside. You can go in.”
Sean looked up at the sound of movement and glanced toward the door. He saw Tracy, dressed in light blue, her hair casually tied up. Her slim waist made her look even thinner.
She seems to be getting thinner and thinner.
A trace of surprise flashed in his eyes. Why would Tracy suddenly come to the company to find him?
If he remembered correctly, she never took the initiative to find him. It was always him who initiated.
Putting down the file in his hand, Sean stood up and instructed Gary, “Go heat a glass of milk and bring it here.”
Gary acknowledged and quickly went out.
Sean adjusted his collar, then pointed to the sofa not far from Tracy. “It’s hot outside. Have a seat and cool down by the air conditioner first.”
Tracy walked over and sat down stiffly on the sofa, so nervous she didn’t know where to put her hands and fect
It was probably because she had come with the intention of asking for a favor that she was so rigid, even though she had already relaxed considerably in her recent interactions with Sean.
“Are you here to see me about something?” Sean poured Tracy a glass of warm water, placed it in front of her, and then sat down beside her.
The moment he saw Tracy walk in, his heart had begun to pound uncontrollably. He was very happy to see her come looking for him.
To prevent Tracy from noticing anything, he deliberately sat at a small distance from her.
Noticing Tracy’s eyes were red, his own eyes narrowed, and he asked with concern. “Did you cry? Who bullied you again?”
Tracy shook her head. “No one bullied me. I just got some sand in my eye, it’s nothing.”
She looked down at her fingers, not daring to look at Sean. After some deliberation, she spoke up. “Can you do me a favor?”

Scan tilted his chin, indicating for her to speak. “Go on.”
Firushed
“It’s about my uncle.” Tracy bit her lip and began, “He was framed ten years ago and spent several years in prison. After he got out, he just lost all his spirit. I want to overturn his case, but they said someone was helping from behind the scenes back then, which is why the case was closed so hastily. I want to ask you for help, to speak to the police station, and have them re–investigate the truth of what happened back then.
