Truly stupid beyond saving.
When Jared saw Tracy come in, he was momentarily stunned, but then acted as if he hadn’t seen her and stood up to greet Sean.
“We are so surprised you could grace us with your presence. Please, sit down.”
He didn’t care what methods Tracy had used to follow them wherever they went. He only cared about whether the project could be successfully negotiated.
He had heard that a tech company under Johnson Corp had a new project recently, and they also wanted a piece of the pie.
Originally, they hadn’t held out much hope for this dinner. After all, Johnson Corp’s threshold wasn’t one just anyone could cross.
The Johnson family, moreover, controlled more than half of Northport’s economic lifeline; one could say they were as wealthy as a nation.
They were all surprised that he would attend the dinner, so they had discussed it for a long time before coming and had decided on the best proposal.
But in all their calculations, they had never calculated that Tracy would also be here. Seeing her looking so intimate with Sean, a bad premonition suddenly arose in his heart.
Sean nodded slightly in response. He let Tracy sit down first, then sat down beside her.
He ladled a bowl of soup for Tracy and placed it in front of her. “Have some soup to line your stomach first.”
Tracy picked up the spoon and began to drink in small sips, her head lowered.
Watching Sean be so considerate toward Tracy, Quincy nearly ground her teeth to dust. This was supposed to be her chance to meet Mr. Johnson.
Why did Tracy get to beat her to it?
She was just a woman who had been abandoned yet she still dared to flirt around outside. How shameless!
She was about to stand up and warn Sean about what kind of person Tracy was, but she was stopped by Yvonne.
Yvonne lowered her voice to remind Quincy, “We are here to discuss cooperation this time.

Don’t be willful. If you ruin the partnership because of this, I won’t be able to answer to Jared.”
She also couldn’t stand Tracy’s pretentious act, but with Sean present, who would dare to disrespect him?
She could only choose to endure it for now. A moment’s impatience could ruin a great plan. It was best to wait and see.
At this moment, Chandler spoke up. “Mr. Johnson, I hear your company is preparing a new project. I was wondering if you’d be willing to grace us with an opportunity for our company to cooperate.”
Sean raised his eyelids, glanced at Chandler, and easily changed the subject. “Mr. Gaunt, what is your relationship with the Xander family’s young lady?”
This question again.
Ever since the two of them began attending events together, many people had asked them this.
Was their relationship not obvious enough?
Or had Tracy said something to Sean, and Sean was asking this deliberately?
Their original plan had been interrupted by Tracy’s appearance. Was this woman here to jinx
them?
Just then, Chase chimed in with a smile, “Mr. Johnson, they are definitely in a relationship.”
He hadn’t expected Sean to ask such an obvious question; while not mentioning a single word about the cooperation.
It was definitely intentional, yet it left people unable to find fault, though it made them as uncomfortable as if they were being scratched by a cat.
“Is that so?” Sean’s well-defined fingers tapped rythmically on the tabletop. “Then how come I heard that Mr. Gaunt is already married?”
“A married man, still daring to parade around with someone else. Has he ever considered the feelings of his original wife?”
Hearing this, Tracy looked up at Sean and couldn’t help but silently give him a thumbs-up.
She had to admit, Sean was usually a man of few words, but when he decided to verbally destroy someone, he was truly infuriating.

Lincoln and Perry, knowing the truth, immediately looked guiltily toward Chandler upon hearing Sean’s words.
Chandler remained seated, his expression unchanged. His thin lips were pressed together, and he did not answer Sean.
One had to say, Chandler’s composure was truly excellent. The truth was laid bare, yet he remained as steady as a mountain.
At this point, Yvonne, who had been silent, spoke up. “Mr. Johnson, you shouldn’t listen to other people’s gossip. After all, cooperation is about capability, isn’t it?”
This “other people” naturally referred to Tracy. Tracy seemed to love spreading bad rumors about them everywhere.
But her capabilities spoke for themselves, so it couldn’t really affect her. Still, Tracy was quite despicable.
To badmouth her behind her back without a sound-she was truly a petty person.
But then again, this was the only method Tracy had. She couldn’t compare to her in other areas, so she just tried to find ways to ruin her.
Stabbing people in the back like this was just so vile.
Sean’s tapping stopped. He lifted his gaze to Yvonne, his eyes seemingly calm but carrying an indescribable, accumulated authority.
“Are you questioning my judgment?”
Facing Sean’s authoritative gaze and his question, Yvonne was stunned for a moment.
But she quickly recovered her composure and said calmly, “Mr. Johnson, you’ve misunderstood. I had no intention of questioning you.”
