Tracy lifted the covers and got out of bed. “Okay, I’ll come over now.”

The agent reminded her warmly, “Don’t forget to bring your ID card. We can process the paperwork immediately.”
“Okay.” Tracy agreed, then rushed off to wash up.
She was already impatient to move out, but to avoid being found out, she could only move things little by little.
When Jennie saw Tracy come downstairs, she handed her a cup of warm milk. “Ms. Tracy, have some milk first, it’ll fill your stomach a bit. Lunch will take a while.”
Tracy took the cup, finished it, then said to Jennie, “Jennie, I’m heading out. I won’t be back for lunch.”
Jennie hesitated and said, “But sir said he would come back for lunch. Won’t you wait to eat with Mr. Chandler?”
Tracy paused slightly, then shook her head. “No, I’ve got something to do outside.”
After saying that, she picked up the car keys from the coffee table and went out without the slightest hesitation.
Jennie froze for a moment. Tracy had really been acting strangely these past two days. After thinking it over, she still decided to call Chandler.
The phone rang for a long time before it was picked up. After Jennie explained why she was calling, Chandler only replied with one word: “Got it,” then quickly hung up.
She felt like she was worrying for nothing.
Meanwhile, Tracy arrived at the agency, and to her surprise, she saw Gary there.
Tracy froze, then walked over to greet him. “Mr. Gary, why are you here?”
Gary pushed up the glasses on his nose. “Mr. Johnson asked me to help.”
It was Sean again. Tracy was surprised, but said nothing more. She just silently added another favor she owed Sean to her list.
The apartment was a fully furnished two-bedroom with a large balcony, excellent lighting, and

Because Gary accompanied her, the staff treated Tracy with extreme politeness, and even the price was lower than the market rate.
Tracy knew this was Sean’s arrangement. Otherwise, at this price, in the prime location of Southpoint Road, it would have been impossible to secure.
She quickly paid. Since everything went through the back door, the paperwork was processed quickly. She got the keys right at lunchtime.
Tracy said to Gary, “Mr. Gary, thank you for your help today. It’s lunchtime now-let me treat you.”
But Gary waved his hand and checked his watch. “This was all Mr. Johnson’s instructions. I’m only carrying them out. If you want to thank someone, thank him. I still have company matters to attend to, so I’ll leave first.”
“Alright, take care.”
After sending Gary off, Tracy grabbed a bun nearby for lunch, then returned home to start moving things.
Looking at the setup in her room, she wondered where to begin.
Her eyes fell on the stack of professional books in the corner. Because they had been left untouched for so long, they were covered in a thick layer of dust.
She decided to start with the books.
She brought a cloth, carefully wiped the dust from each book, then packed them into a cardboard box.
When she carried the box downstairs, she ran right into Chandler, who had rushed back.
He only glanced at Tracy and casually asked, “Where are you taking those books?”
Tracy looked at the books in her arms and said carelessly, “I was tidying up the room and saw these books just sitting there gathering dust. I figured they weren’t much use anymore, so I’m going to toss them out as trash.”
Chandler’s eyes narrowed slightly as he glanced at the books, but he didn’t think much of it. “Leave things like that for Jennie to handle in the future.”
He changed his shoes and went quickly into the study, as if to retrieve something important.

Tracy didn’t pay him any attention either. She placed the books in the trunk of her car. Just as she was about to open the car door, Chandler came out of the house holding a file.
Their eyes met for a brief moment. Neither of them spoke, and both quickly got into their cars, pretending they hadn’t seen each other.
Like two complete strangers.
A trace of bitterness welled up in Tracy’s heart, but she quickly pushed it down.
After moving the professional books to her new home, she cleaned the entire place thoroughly. She placed the books neatly on the bookshelf, then started mopping the floor.
By three in the afternoon, her phone rang. It was her senior Sam. She wiped her wet hands on a towel and swiped to answer.
Sam’s cheerful voice came through. “Tracy, I got two invitations to the CADD symposium! Where are you now? I’ll bring them to you.”
Tracy looked at the half-mopped floor. “I’m at Southpoint Road.”
Sam exclaimed in surprise, “What a coincidence! I’m in Southpoint Road too. Send me your location and I’ll come find you.”
Tracy thought for a moment. “Meet me at the cafe downstairs. I just secured a new place, and the place is messy-hardly fit for guests.”
“Alright, see you soon.”
After hanging up, Tracy quickly finished mopping, then grabbed her keys and went out.
When she arrived at the cafe, Sam was already waiting by the window.
Dressed in a cobalt blue suit, his features were gentle, a pair of glasses adding a scholarly air.
Tracy walked over and greeted him. “Long time no see!”
Sam stood up and returned the greeting. “Yes, it really has been a long time.”
Since Tracy got married, she had thrown herself into family life, and they rarely kept in touch. Occasionally, when Sam had trouble at work, he would call her for advice.
