Tracy didn’t wait for her two older brothers to arrive until the memorial service was almost over. Instead, her grandmother, Sarah, arrived in a wheelchair.
Seeing her grandmother enter, Tracy hurried to greet her. “Grandma, why did you come?”
Sarah sighed, grasping Tracy’s hand and comforting her. “Tracy, I know this is upsetting for you. Yvonne was injured this morning, and your two brothers have gone to look after her.”
Tracy lowered her eyes. As expected, nothing is more important than that mother and daughter in their minds.
She wheeled Sarah into the courtyard and then said, “It’s fine, Grandma. I’m already used to it.”
