Matthew’s sixth sense kicked in, letting him dodge a lethal attack But when he saw the two attackers in front of him, his expression darkened.
It’s her again. Matthew thought.
As she was pulled back, Marietta caught sight of Linda. Her expression shifted slightly, but she was always good at hiding her emotions. She was more concerned about Matthew’s reaction.
But when she noticed the look in Matthew’s eyes as he stared at Linda, Marietta’s heart skipped a beat.
“Didn’t you notice?”
“She’s not Linda
It was like Matthew could read Marietta’s mind.
He suddenly spoke up.
Matthew’s casual use of “Linda” made Marietta feel uneasy.
Matthew gritted his teeth, hatred in his eyes. “She would never be this cold as ice, cruel to the core.”
They might share the same features, but their personalities couldn’t be more different. She’d almost shaken his heart.
‘She’s wicked to the bone!‘ Matthew thought.
“Matthew, she looks so much like Linda. Should we hold back a little? Maybe they’re connected,” Marietta said, biting her lip, worry flickering in her eyes. She couldn’t help but feel a pang of sympathy.
Matthew scoffed. “They’re not even the same person. Why should we show mercy? If they’re coming for our lives, then we don’t need to hold back either.”
“Alright,” Marietta replied.
Indeed. No matter if that girl was Linda or not, they still had to battle to the death.
Marietta didn’t want Linda coming back and ruining her position in the sect.
Ever since what happened at Glacial Overlook, Master Coleman hadn’t seen her in ages.
And with her cultivation unstable right now, Marietta couldn’t afford any more surprises.
As they spoke, Marietta readied a deadly move, gearing up for battle.
Linda refused to yield. The two shot toward each other, colliding in an instant.
Their first exchange was a showdown of raw physical technique.
Linda caught every word they said, but honestly, none of it bothered her one bit. It just didn’t matter to her anymore.
If this were the old days, she might’ve actually cared. Now? Not a chance.
Things turned upside down in an instant.
Craig and Rafael reacted instantly, rushing over. They checked on Laura first, and when they to Linda with concern.

All three of them stai Matthew a furious glare.
Landa and Marietta traded a few moves, but Linda was pushed gk two steps,
Someone said. “She’s just in the Acther–Stoking Phase, and she’s actually fighting a Gilded Phase cultivator? Has she lost her
mind?”
Mist swirled across the whole battlefield, gathering out of thin into Linda’s palm. It looked soft and harmless, like a fluffy cloud or a gentle haze. No one could guess how lethal it really w
Laura started forward. “Let me handle this.”
But Linda and Claudio both spoke up at once. “Laura, you don’t have to.”
Laura, Craig, and Rafael went speechless.
Wait, since when did these two get so in sync?‘ Craig thought.
Matthew let out a cold laugh. “You really want to fight, huh?”
Linda smirked. “Scared of you? Please.”
As soon as she finished speaking, Linda raised her hand, sending a sweeping cloud of mist surging toward Matthew and Marietta. She aimed right at their eyes.
A stream of water might hit hard, but mist was far more insidious. It could seep through any gap. There was no way to block

So Linda didn’t use water jets at all. She chose mist instead.
Matthew just scoffed, not bothered in the slightest.
After all, Marietta had Water Affinity too, and she was the best of the best.
Marietta instantly summoned her own mist, trying to show Linda up with the same move. But when the two waves collided, nobody expected Linda’s mist to actually come out on top!
Everyone went wild!
“She’s not in the Aether–Stoking Phase!” someone yelled.
Linda just chuckled, “When did I ever say I was in the Aether–Stoking Phase?”
Suddenly, Linda’s aura erupted, blasting past the Aether–Stoking Phase in a heartbeat. She rocketed straight into the Foundation Establishment realm.
And before anyone could react, she surged right into the Gilded Phase!
“Early stage Gilded Phase!” someone cried out.
Even Homer and the others were left speechless, utterly shocked. Everyone’s mind exploded with wild guesses.
‘How the hell did she hide her cultivation? Was it some kind of spirit tool? But seriously, what top–tier concealment artifacts to their disciples?‘ one of them wondered.

Marista fut her lip. Okay, so she’s not stuck in the Aether–Stoku Phase, which explains how she could block me. But how did she actually bear me? The Gilded Core I’m using now is actually Linda’s!
Wxa celestial grade Gilded Core! A cut above even the supreme grade! So why did I still lose?‘ Marietta thought.
After her initial defeat, Marietta wasted no time. She seized the pening to strike back at Linda, ditching the mist and instead summoning her signature weapon, the Mirage Bow.
In a flash, she drew the bow and conjured arrow after arrow, unleashing a rapid–fire barrage straight at Linda.
Meanwhile, her left hand swept out, forming a protective ring of water to keep Linda at bay and widen the gap between
them
The crowd erupted in cheers.
“No wonder she’s the number one prodigy of Azure Spire! One hand conjures arrows, the other draws a water ring. Left for defense, right for attack, multitasking like a legend. Only a genius like her could pull this off,” someone shouted.
The Water Affinity cultivators in the crowd looked gloomy. That was just scratching the surface.
Even just Marietta’s arrow conjuring was way above their level.
Three arrows fired in one seamless motion, and she did it like it was nothing.
The three water arrows sliced through the air, but Linda dodged them with ease. The crowd went wild, and Marietta’s eyes sparkled with pride. Linda chuckled, her tone dripping with mockery. “Seriously? That’s it? Anyone can pull that off.”
Linda raised her hand, and a spirit bow formed from pure water element appeared in her grip. Everyone could see it now. She was about to use the same move to return the favor.
“Oh my god, are they really going this hard?” someone blurted out.
Marietta’s at mid–Gilded Phase, and Linda’s just at the early stage. Does she actually think she can take her on? Is she gutsy or just full of herself?” another person whispered.
No one had a clue. But as Linda pulled back her spirit bow, three arrows appeared out of nowhere, lined up on the string in a flash.
“Hold up!” someone in the crowd yelled.
“No way, that’s four arrows!” another voice shouted, stunned.
Linda let the arrows fly, and as she drew the bow again, the crowd realized. This time, there was a fifth arrow lined up!
Everyone just froze, jaws dropping. They were completely stunned.
The whole place erupted, people shouting and cheering like crazy.
What the hell is this?” someone shouted.
All the Water Affinity cultivators were freaking out. “How the hell did she just shoot five water arrows from a bow made out of pure aether? Who is she supposed to be?”
Someone else yelled, “Seriously, who is she?!”
Most folks had no clue what was happening, but the Water Affinity cultivators knew exactly what was going on.

Marietta could pull off three arrows at once, all thanks to the Mirage Bow.

Everyone knew Coleman had personally crafted this premium spirit weapon for his junior, using the Mirage Water String he brought back from the Southern Water Domain. Its power was just a notch below true artifacts.
But if Linda could just conjure up a spirit bow out of thin air and pull off the same move, then what was the point of the Mirage Bow?
It was not like the Mirage Bow was weak or anything. So there was only one explanation. Marietta just wasn’t tapping into its true potential!
Marietta’s eyes burned with emotion as she fired back in a frenzy Arrows flew from both sides, colliding midair and bursting with powerful water energy.
But Linda always managed to fire one more arrow than Marietta, and every single shot found its mark on Marietta’s water ring. Not one arrow missed its target.
At first, nobody had a clue what was happening. But as some of the more observant folks started to catch on, they realized Linda’s water arrows kept hammering the exact same spot.
And when the fifth arrow shot out, Linda said in a calm, almost dismissive tone, “You’ve lost.”
The crowd was still in the dark, but Matthew, Laura, and Craig immediately understood what was going on.
Marietta’s water ring cracked and shattered in an instant. Her defense finally crumbled.
“I haven’t lost!” Marietta yelled, her voice full of stubborn defiance.
She summoned seven arrows in one breath and fired them at Linda in a wild barrage. But Linda, cool and collected, simply drew her bow and, with effortless composure, conjured eight arrows instead.
She always had one arrow more than Marietta.
