Aiden
I was going to make him pay for that.
The moment I stepped into the gym, I already had the whole damn punishment planned.
Circuits until his arms gave out. Conditioning drills until his legs stopped working. No water breaks. No mercy.
And yes, I admit, my cock was already twitching in anticipation of the punishment.
Mr. A would’ve pulled the crop for a proper lesson, but for now, a brutal workout would have to suffice.
What he’d pulled the night before? It was reckless, immature, and completely unacceptable. But my response to it… Well, that was probably worse. Wrong on so many levels I couldn’t even begin to untangle them.
Mr. A was the sinner. The shadow behind the screen. He was the dangerous one–the Dom who could chew him up, spit him out, and walk away without consequence. Mr. A wasn’t bound by league rules, university policy, or the fragile leash of a public coaching career.

But last night?
That wasn’t Mr. A stalking a guy from 3 meters away–that was Coach Aiden Mercer.
And what he witnessed?
A student–the student he was in charge of–getting mildly drunk, making out with a random girl, and getting a blowjob in the fucking hotel gym… All of that, while he watched from the dark like some perv with no self–control.
1
What the hell was wrong with me?
But more importantly–what the hell was wrong with Noah?
Was he trying to get back at me for ignoring him?
Was he trying to prove something? Reclaim some pathetic scrap of control?
Or was he just so fucking horny he couldn’t keep it in his pants?
I clenched my fists as I paced the gym floor, the echo of my footsteps doing nothing to soothe the fire in my chest.
6:00 a.m. came and went.
Noah didn’t show.
Fine. He was late.
Strike one.
7:00 a.m.? Still no sign.

Chapter 12
Strike two.
I was ready to burn the place down.
1 stormed out of the gym and took the elevator down to the dining room, fully prepared to drag him by the ear and make him get ever being her
And there he was.
Sitting at a table like he fucking owned the hotel.
Legs stretched out. Hoodie loose. Hair messy like he’d just rolled out of bed with zero guilt in his bones.
And the plate in front of him?
Buttery croissants. Jam. Bacon. Eggs drowning in grease. Pastries. A literal fucking chocolate muffin.
Not a single approved food item in sight.
He looked up casually, met my stare like I was a passing inconvenience, and took a slow sip of orange juice.
Like he was the one in charge.
Like we should all feel honored he’d even bothered to grace us with his presence.
My jaw clenched. My vision went red.
You want a tantrum, boy?
You’re about to get a goddamn reckoning.
He looked up from his plate like nothing was wrong. Like he wasn’t hours late, like he hadn’t spent the night pulling the most reckless stunt I’d seen in
years.
“Morning, Coach,” he said casually, like I was just another hotel guest.
I approached the table with murder in my eyes. “You’re late.”
He wiped his mouth with his napkin. “Didn’t realize I was on the clock.”
“You were supposed to be in the gym at six.”
He shrugged. “Guess I lost track of time.”
My jaw clenched. “We need to talk. Now.”
He smirked, stood, and walked off without another word.
I followed him out of the dining area, jaw tight, footsteps heavy.

Chapter 12
The second we were alone in the hallway, I grabbed his arm and pulled him to a stop.
“You think this is funny?”
Noah leaned back against the wall, arms crossed, full of snug confidence. “Are you jealous of something, Coach?”
I stepped closer. “What you did was reckless. Stupid. You could’ve gotten yourself into serious trouble. If anyone else had walked in on you last night, you d be gone. Expelled. Arrested. Headline scandal: Rookie quarterback caught with pants down in hotel gym. While on my watch!”
He raised his brows. “Literally.”
I exhaled through my nose. “You’re a cocky little shit, you know that?”
“Yeah, well,” he shot back, “you’re all bark and no bite.”
I stepped in, crowding his space, nose inches from his. “Try me.”
He didn’t flinch.
“You had me doing everything,” he snapped. “I’ve followed every order. I’ve trained, performed, memorized, executed–and not once did you say a single word of praise. You have a damn good player and a fucking great assistant, or whatever the hell you dragged me here for–but you’re so bitter that I might actually become what you were that you refuse to acknowledge I’ve done a single thing right!”
“Oh?” I growled. “Did you want me to tell you you’re a good boy? That you’ve done a good job?” I leaned in, letting the heat of my breath brush his lips. “Because if you want a reward–punishment system, then you should know–based on your behavior lately–you’ve earned a hell of a lot more punishment than reward, and I will be so happy to punish you.”
His face flushed. “I bet you’d want that,” he spat. “Go ahead.”
I let the silence stretch between us, charged and heavy.
Oh, no, you didn’t….
Then, in a whisper laced with venom and promise, I said, “Be careful… boy. I might take you up on that sooner than you think.”
The moment the words left my mouth, I knew.
I fucking knew.
I’d said that to him before.
As Mr. A.
And I saw it–the flicker in his eyes, the twitch of his lips, the inhale that went just a little too deep.
He recognized it.
He knew.
Maybe not consciously. Maybe not fully.

Chapter 12
But something clicked.
I stepped back, letting the fire between us cool just enough not to explode.
“Now go to the gym,” I ordered, my voice razor–sharp. “Start your rounds. And you better be drenched in sweat by the time I get there.”
He stared at me for a beat, lips parted, jaw tight.
Then he turned and walked off–shoulders stiff, fists clenched–but obeying.
I watched him go, then finally sat down for my breakfast.
The food tasted like ash. My thoughts louder than the silverware clinking around me.
I had played with fire, let my two lives blend together for a moment…
And if he was smart–and he was–that boy was putting the pieces together.
Fast.
