Chapter 81 Get Our Food
She’d been right.
Without Damon, they wouldn’t know who they were serving
now.

Worse, living conditions at the base had plummeted, nothing compared to the meals Iris provided.
“Come get food!“. Damon’s voice echoed across the hall.
He stood beside Louisa, who carried no visible supplies–yet when she lifted her palm, a pile of rations materialized out of
thin air.
Iris instantly recognized Louisa as a metahuman with Spatial–type Power.
After laying out the supplies, Louisa shot Iris a triumphant glance–but quickly looked away, cowed, when Iris met her gaze with a faint, cool smile.
Soon, Derek brought over their rations–five steaming meals, prepared by Base K1 before their departure.
“Iris, you’ve fed us so many times. Today, let’s share ours!” Derek said, placing the meals in the center.

“I’m not hungry. Take this, too,” a voice said from above.
Damon had approached silently, placing his own meal down- his portion included an extra egg.
Hunger gnawed at Damon, but he refused to let his men go without. Five meals for seven people were barely sufficient, yet he’d given up his extra egg–a rare luxury in the apocalypse.
All eyes turned to Iris, expecting her to pounce on the egg, greedy and desperate for such a treat.
Instead, she gestured lazily to Logan. “Logan, get our food.”
“Yes, ma’am!” Logan set down his backpack, pulling out a portable alcohol–heated camp stove and three large metal
containers.
Louisa and the others gaped in shock.
Holy shit!
Each container brimmed with meat: tender beef, succulent ribs, premium cuts with not a single vegetable in sight. They were so well–stocked that they dined on nothing but meat.
A burning embarrassment washed over the group.
They’d thought Iris would be dazzled by an egg, but hations 1

“Rocky, Coco, eat first. Call the others over when you’re done,” Iris said, pushing the container to the dogs.
It was layered with dog food and topped with fresh raw meat, a balanced, ample meal.
Louisa and her group were left stunned into silence.
What the fuck!
Feeding such high–quality meat to dogs?
Are you kidding?
Countless people struggled to find enough to eat, yet Iris wasted prime cuts on animals.
Disbelief washed over them, rendering them speechless.
Derek and the others, however, were not surprised. This was typical Iris–still as bold and generous as ever.
They wanted nothing more than to bow down to her.
“Logan, cook extra instant mac and cheese from the supplies we grabbed upstairs. Give them a bowl each,” Iris said generously.
Logan moved quickly, unpacking ten packs of instant mac and chouse, ten hard–boiled eggs, and firing up the camp sp. 09:11

Chapter 82 Look for Something
Iris nodded to Logan, who lifted the camp stove lid.
In an instant, the rich aroma of cheesy beef ribs flooded the space–melted cheese from the ribs clung to golden instant mac and cheese, paired with perfectly marinated cold–cut beef, beef jerky, trail mix sausages, and hard–boiled eggs, creating an irresistible medley of flavors.
“Wow, that smells amazing!” someone exclaimed.
Each person got a large bowl of steaming cheesy beef rib pasta. the warmth seeping into their bones.
“It’s delicious! So good!” Derek ate with tears of joy in his eyes.
As expected, following Iris meant never going hungry. She was incredible!
The mouthwatering scent reached Louisa’s team, mixing with the sound of cheesy broth being slurped. As they glanced down at their own coarse wheat rolls and bland cabbage stew–barely seasoned, with just a tiny piece of meat–their mouths watered uncontrollably. Their rations turned tasteless by comparison, a tangled mix of envy and frustration churning in their chests.
How could the others live so lavishly? 1/5
