Chapter 102
“What? How do you know I freaked out that night?”
Rocky chuckled. “Because I was there. That brown wolf you saw
before Blake’s wolf. That was me.”
Oh, dear lord. He saw my meltdown. I blinked rapidly and tried not
to think about Rocky being that huge brown wolf. It was hard enough
trying to process that he was one of them. I quickly thought of
another question to ask.
“You called Blake Alpha and me Luna. What does that mean?”
“Sorry, Rosy, that information I can’t give you. That’s the part you
and Blake need to talk about. Has he not explained all that?”
“We haven’t really talked about all that yet. Blake has said he will
tell me everything, but I don’t know why I’m avoiding it.”
“Too busy doing other things, huh?” He laughed,
I could feel the heat rise in my face. Usually, I wouldn’t have cared
to talk to Rocky about all this, but today I was shy. After all, he was
my brother. I gave him a side look. As Rocky said, he’s the same

person; nothing had changed. Then why let our relationship change
because he shares a genealogy with me.
“We haven’t done any of that yet either. Every time we’ve gotten
even close, some things happen. Blake calls it the force of nature.
Besides, he said he wouldn’t force me into anything I’m
uncomfortable with. He wants me to ask him to do things if I want
him to” I rolled my eyes.

Rocky laughed. “He is a good guy. The male body will not do
anything to hurt his female. So it is the force of nature. With
everything you’ve been through, I understand you want to wait.”
I chuckled and looked down at my fingers again.
“Can I ask you something, though?” Rocky asked.
I turned to him and nodded.
“Do you hate me?”
“What? No! Why would I hate you?” I replied, shaking my head.
“I don’t know. I guess because I got to spend some time with our so-
called father and you didn’t. I mean, it’s not like it was very long, and
even in that time, he was not around much.”

“Rocky, I could never hate you. What happened was neither of our
faults. He was a weak man, and he didn’t deserve us. I’m actually
thrilled. I finally have a big brother, and I’m so glad it’s you. You and I
have always silently played the role of siblings, and now, we don’t
have to pretend. You really are my brother.” I beamed at him, and he
had a big grin on his face too.
“Right back at you, sister. I just can’t make my sexual comments
with you anymore. Now it feels wrong,” he shuttered, making me
laugh.
“Do you think your mum will come back to her senses?” Rocky asked
after a few minutes of silence.
“Honestly, I don’t care. I was done with her bullshit a while ago,
but
I couldn’t let go for some reason. Today, she’s given me that reason to
let go. I’m moving forward in my life, and I don’t want her bitterness
in it.”
He reached over and squeezed my hand again.
“It’s going to be okay. You have us, and we are always here for you.
Trust me when I say this, you may have lost a mum today, but you
have gained another one. You just wait till I tell mum about who you
are. She will stuff with you so much love; you’ll forget all the pain
Beth has given you.”

His smile made me smile. Theresa had always treated us like her
daughters. She constantly told Taylor and me that we had a special
place in her heart. But my mother was the reason her family fell
apart; I was the reason her son didn’t have a father. Would she really
accept the girl that broke her family apart? When people like the
Callums turned their back on me for having a hooker as a mother,
how could I expect Theresa to accept me?
Rocky had so easily said that she would stuff me with love, but there
was anxiety bubbling somewhere deep in me. Fear that people I loved
and connected with were slowly starting to drift away from me…………….
