Alpha’s White Lie
Chapter 76
“You remember our deal?” He asked and I nodded my head a little
too enthusiastically. Hell yeah, I remembered.
“Good” he smiled and lowered his head. I closed my eyes waiting
but before his lips could touch mine, Blake’s phone started ringing.
“Son of a bitch” he cursed. I started laughing.
“Oh well, maybe it wasn’t meant to be” I gently pushed him off me
and he rolled over. I jumped off the bed and headed for the room.
“See you later” I yelled as I bolted for my room. I needed a shower
and to find my ruined dress.
I ran down the stairs and straight into my shower. The run down
the stairs had my head spinning. I already had a slight headache and
now I felt sick too. I quickly finished my shower and got dressed. I
was dehydrated and hungry.
I quickly ran my hairbrush through my wet hair and grabbed my slippers. I wanted to go over and see how Taylor was doing and find
out more about what happened since I couldn’t remember much.

I walked into the kitchen and grabbed a bottle of water and a
granola bar. Rocky always made a nice big breakfast after Taylor and
my big drinking nights. He for some reason could drown two bottles
of tequila and still walk a straight line. It was a talent he was very
proud of.
As I headed for the main door, I noticed a box sitting on the
counter with a note on the top. The front of the note had my name on
- it. That was odd, I wasn’t expecting a package. I quickly opened the
note and read it.
“Be ready at 7 pm, Love Blake”
Okay now, what was he up to.
I opened the box to find a black spaghetti strap dress. It was a
knee–length chiffon dress and had gorgeous flower embroidery on the
front. With the dress, there was a flat 4×4 box with a velvet finish.
My heart was beating super fast. I slowly opened the velvet box.
There on the cushion sat 2 beautiful diamond earrings with the
gorgeous necklace Blake’s mum had given me.
Yeap this boy had lost his mind. Was he seriously just going to buy
me expensive jewellery like it was worth loose change? I closed the
box and put it back inside the dress box with the dress. My desire to

go see Taylor had vanished and was replaced by the want to know
why he wanted me dressed in this at 7 pm?

I quickly walked back up the stairs to find Blake but he wasn’t
anywhere to be found. Maybe that phone call he received had
something to do with his disappearance.
I pulled out my phone and texted Taylor asking her to come over
instead. I sunk into a barstool and just stared at the box in front of
me, wishing it would disappear.
There was a knock on the door. I quickly walked over and opened it.
“Bitch my head is killing me. It better be important.” Taylor walked
past me into the apartment.
“Look” I pointed to the note and the box. She read the note and
looked inside the box.
“Okay wow. Those earrings are gorgeous. I don’t understand.
What’s the problem ?”
“I don’t know. Firstly, he didn’t need to buy me those earrings.
Second, where am I going at 7 pm?” My voice was low and uncertain.
“Babe, you’re marrying the guy. Maybe have some faith? What if it’s

just a date night? You guys haven’t had dates. You’ve lived together
and worked together. Also from what I learned last night, you still
haven’t even explored each other’s favourite bits! So go and get loose,
will you? At least test drive your vehicle before you purchase it for the
rest of your life.” She laughed.
Fuck she found out we hadn’t slept together.
“You know?” I looked down at my fingers.
Taylor walked over to me and grabbed my shoulders “when Blake asked me to help change you last night, I found it odd. He then
explained that you two hadn’t consummated your relationship but
that’s typical of you. He on the other hand is so smitten over you that
it doesn’t bother him in the slightest that you live and breathe in the
same house as him, yet all he gets is a little kiss. Now that’s love. So,
let’s
go
have some of that yummy breakfast my sweet boy toy has
made and then I’ll help you get dressed. Don’t stress. I’m sure it’s
going to be fine”
She gently pushed me towards the main door. She was right. It’s
going to be fine…
