“I don’t get cold as you do.” He smiled at me.
I pushed the blanket a little further away from him and sat down,
trying to keep my distance. In my head, I had come with questions
and theories. I wanted answers to help me make my decision.
“When you said that your mum and dads marriage was arranged,
you lied, didn’t you?”
Blake nodded “Yes I did. In my defence, it wasn’t all a lie. Mum
and dad are mates. That first day dad met mum, he knew that she was
the one and so did she. Both my parents are pure breeds and high
ranked, so it all worked out. The second time they met, they got
engaged and then married. So technically, it was love at first sight followed by them learning to love each other more and more after
marriage.”
“Okay, What’s to say that I won’t do something stupid like Kyra?
After all, I’m still human. How do you know my love for you is going
to be as strong as it is today?”
“The fact that you are still thinking of loving me, even though you are scared and undecided, says it all.” He smiled and I could tell that
he was pleased with that.

“There is some portion of werewolf blood in you. A wolf as high
ranked as mine doesn’t normally have a human mate. Actually, it’s
unheard of. I’m sure there is some part of you that’s like us. However,
regardless of whether you are like us or not, you aren’t one to cheat. I
know you and I know you understand the concept of true love.” His
eyes were glued to mine. It was like he was searching my soul.
My insides went fuzzy and this was why I kept my distance from
him. The boy affected me in ways that I had never experienced before.
He was right, I would never cheat on him and he knew me well
enough to know my loyalty. I pressed my thighs together, willing
myself not to get so horny by his words.
“Angel, I can smell your arousal. Unless you want me to Fuxk you right here, please stop getting horny. I’m honestly struggling to keep

His eyes were a darker shade now. His eyes were full of need and
regret. What did he regret?
“Well, that explains a lot,” I muttered. I’ve been fantasising about
Blake a lot and maybe that was whatever portion of werewolf I had in
- me.
“Angel did Vince and you….. you know…” Blake looked down at
his hands.

Guilt washed over me. Blake had known we were mates from the day he moved in. He had to witness my short–lived romance with Vince. I couldn’t imagine how he felt knowing I was with another guy
when I was technically meant to be with him.
“No Blakey. Vince and I never got that far. Maybe if he hadn’t done what he did, we would have but all we did was kissed. If it makes you feel better, you were my first kiss. Before our little make out in Taylor’s apartment, I had never been kissed.” I looked up to find
Blake staring at me.
“Trust me, if you hadn’t stopped me, I would have fuxked you right there and then. I was just so glad to be that close to you again. You were gone and I didn’t know how you were. I picked up my phone so many times to try and call you but it was weird for me to randomly call you. Then you came back smelling like Vince and I hated it. I hated knowing you were that close to him.
