Chapter 1137
Ivy could feel how hard Nathan was kissing her.
Men really were visual creatures. Last night, he didn’t even want to come back to the bedroom.
Nathan’s hand slid down her leg, reaching to pull off her clothes.
Ivy stopped him quickly. “Wait.”
His voice turned rough. “What is it?”
“You said it yourself. We’re in your office.”
Nathan pinched her cheek lightly. “Quit pretending. You came here dressed like this just to get me worked up.”
Ivy had no comeback for that. He wasn’t wrong.
Nathan moved again to take off her dress, but Ivy held his hand down. “No. You’ll rip my stockings.”
“I’ll buy you new ones.‘

“I don’t want new ones.”
Her tone was firm enough that Nathan’s jaw tightened. He let out a low laugh. “So you’re teasing me on purpose now?”
Ivy wrapped her arms around his neck. “If you want me, then you’re taking me shopping, watching a movie with me, and eating out with me.”
Nathan said, “Fine. We’ll go now.”
Ivy blinked. He actually agreed?
She had actually been trying to annoy him and push him to the point where he’d snap at her. She hadn’t expected him to say yes.
What about his meetings? What about his paperwork?
Nathan lifted her off the desk. “Come on.”
“Where are we going?” she asked.
“You said you wanted to watch a movie. We’re going now.”
Was he taking her right this second?
While she was still processing that, Nathan picked up her black coat and draped it over her shoulders. “Put this
on.”
“I don’t want to. It’s not even cold today.”
Nathan shot her a look, one that allowed no negotiation. “Wear it.”
Ivy couldn’t help laughing inside. She knew exactly what he was thinking, but she teased him anyway. “I finally

wore these stockings today. I want people to see them.”
Nathan grabbed her coat collar and pulled her closer so he could fasten the buttons himself. “You’re wearing it.”
Ivy grinned. “Don’t tell me you don’t want anyone else seeing me in stockings! That’s kind of possessive.”
She looked so bright and mischievous that Nathan couldn’t deny he liked this version of her.
He responded well to it. Maybe too well.
“Stop messing around,” he muttered.
Then he took her soft hand, lacing their fingers together, and led her out of the office.
As they walked through the hallway, employees greeted them respectfully. “Good morning, Mr. and Mrs. Lowe!” The executives who had left earlier must have passed the news around, because now everyone knew who Ivy
was.
Employees whispered excitedly after they passed.
“Wow, that’s the CEO’s wife? She’s gorgeous!”
“I looked her up online earlier. She’s the daughter of the Quinn family, one of the wealthiest in the country. She’s a well–known designer, too. Honestly, I fell for her before our CEO even saw her!”
“How can anyone not fall for a woman like that?”
Ivy was used to attention like this. She glanced at the man beside her. “I didn’t realize your company had so many beautiful women.”
Nathan gave a quiet, unreadable laugh. “And what exactly are you trying to say?”
“Nothing,” Ivy replied quickly.
Nathan squeezed her hand a little. “You think anyone in this building looks better than you?”
Ivy blinked, surprised. She didn’t expect him to say something that sounded suspiciously like a compliment.
“Alright,” she said with a small smile, “I’ll take that.”
