Chapter 1151
Kate replied, “I said, you’re going to be a dad! Don’t tell me you still don’t know. Ivy is pregnant!”
As Kate spoke, she carefully watched Nathan’s expression, trying to figure out whether he actually knew about it
or not.
The news of Ivy’s pregnancy was already known to both the Quinn and Lowe families. The business interests stirred up by this high society marriage had caused a huge uproar.
Ivy had also openly declared war on them. The conflict had reached its most intense stage.
But just now, Kate caught a strange hint. Nathan seemed completely unaware of it all.
Nathan’s mind exploded. His head went blank for a few seconds.
Of course, he didn’t know.
He knew nothing.
He didn’t know Ivy was pregnant.
In fact, he and Ivy hadn’t planned on having a baby, at least not right now.
Every time, he had wanted to use protection, but Ivy had told him it was a safe period and that she wouldn’t get pregnant.
And now, Ivy was pregnant?
Seeing the probing look in Kate’s eyes, Nathan quickly snapped back to himself. His expression didn’t change much as he said calmly, “You’re really that interested in whether I know or not?”
After saying that, Nathan turned and walked inside, clearly not wanting to deal with Kate any further.
For a moment, Kate couldn’t tell whether Nathan knew or not. But if she could drive a wedge between Ivy and Nathan, even make Nathan grow tired of Ivy, that would be perfect.
Kate hurried after him. “Do you think Ivy loves you?”
Nathan hooked his lips slightly and asked with a half smile, “Do you think she doesn’t?”

Kate fell silent.
Men born like Nathan were natural rulers, favored by fate. Every word he spoke was airtight. He never gave a clear answer, yet never revealed what he was thinking either. He was mysterious and unfathomable.
Kate could only continue.
“You and Ivy got married through an arranged marriage. How much real feeling do those marriages actually have? Aren’t you curious at all? Don’t you want to know whether Ivy truly loves you or not?”
She glanced at Nathan and went on.
“I’m going inside to find Ivy. I’ll ask her directly whether she loves you or not. If you want to know the answer, you can listen outside the door.”
With that, Kate didn’t wait for Nathan’s response. She walked straight in to look for Ivy.
At that moment, Ivy was still in her office, busy working on designs. She was supposed to be off work already, but

Nathan had said he would come pick her up, so she kept working while waiting for him.
Soon, the office door was pushed open, and someone walked in.
Ivy looked up. “Nathan, Kate? Why are you here?”
Ivy hadn’t expected Kate to show up. No, to be precise, she knew Kate would come looking for her eventually. She just hadn’t expected Kate to come here.
Kate walked in. “Hey, Ivy. I haven’t seen you in days. Figured I’d stop by.”
Ivy’s expression was cool. “You’re not welcome here. Are you leaving on your own, or do you want me to have security escort you out?”
What Kate hated most was that icy calmness Ivy carried.
Back when they appeared together, the wealthy socialites could tell at a glance that Ivy was the legitimate eldest daughter of the Quinn family, while Kate was the kind of illegitimate child those women looked down on.
In the end, Ivy completely overshadowed Kate.
Wherever Ivy was, Kate was nothing more than a background extra, an accessory meant to make Ivy shine.
