Chapter 110
Tessa’s POV
The moment Sasha’s dry, cracked lips touched the water, her whole body relaxed.
She drank greedily, her throat working with effort as the nurse helped her sip slowly, careful not to overwhelm her.
Some of the water dribbled from the corner of her mouth, but none of us cared. It was the most beautiful thing I’d ever seen.
I pressed a hand over my chest, unable to look away.
She was alive.
Awake.
Fighting again.

I didn’t realise I was crying again until Erin joined my side and squeezed my wrist gently. I looked up at her, and we both shared a watery smile- one packed with so much unspoken emotion I felt like I could crumble under it.
It was only fair that the three of us made it out of that hellish place alive, and not just Erin and I.
Without Sasha, none of this would have even been possible. She deserved her happy ending too.
The cup was finally lowered. Sasha licked her lips, her head swaying weakly as she tried to take in the room around her.
Her gaze was sluggish, unfocused… but it moved. It moved from the nurse, to the doctor, then past Erin… and landed on me.
Her eyes blinked slowly, as though trying to decide if what she was seeing was real. Recognition didn’t come right away- how could it? She looked like she’d been trapped in a nightmare for days, or maybe weeks. But when our eyes locked again… something flickered.
“Tessa?” she rasped, barely audible,
I moved forward instantly, one hand reaching for her again, clutching her weak fingers as I nodded fervently, my throat too tight to speak
at first as the nurses let me through.
“Er… Erin?” She pushed on next, blinking over at her next as she nodded and choked on a sob from behind me too.
“Yes, I finally whispered. “It’s us. We are both right here. You’re safe, Sasha. They got you out of there.”
A tear spilled down her cheek, and I brushed it away gently with the pad of my thumb, my heart splitting at the sight of her so fragile- but fighting.

Chapter 110
“Who did? Sasha squinted and croaked, as I looked across the room at Kane and Seth.
Without them, none of this would have been possible!

“Our males from back home… they came all the way here to Russia to find us… explain gently, as the doctor exchanged more words with Kane and Seth who were distracted listening to him carefully.
they went back to stop Dimitri and they got you out. I
Erin was crying too, happy tears full of relief, stepping to take her other hand gently.
“We are so happy you’re ok!” Erin tells her, as Sasha attempts a smile but grimaces in pain.
“Head… and body… it’s all pain!” She admits, as one of the nurses steps in.
She smiles down at Sasha, gaining her attention, before ranting something in Russian to her, as she listens. Once she seems to have gotten her point across, they moved to fix the drip in her arm amongst other things.
“We’re all safe here,” I said, as Sasha eyes the room once more.
“Where is here?” She speaks again, and I loved hearing her voice, knowing that she was back with us completely.
Erin was the first to answer this time; “We are at Alpha Kion’s pack, he was the one behind this whole plan to take Dimitri down.”
Sasha blinked again, her lips trembling as she breathed unsteadily. “So where… is Dimitri now?”
“Dead.” Kane stepped towards the foot of the bed, as I turned to find that the doctor had left the room once more, leaving only the nurses
to fuss around her, taking notes from the machines and fixing new things in to her skin.
“You… I remember you…” Sasha wheezes, followed by a cough, before groaning at the pain the action must have caused her.
“I remember… that cage,” she mumbled suddenly, her face twisting slightly in pain.
Kane moved closer at that, standing alert in front of her, his presence strong and reassuring.
“You don’t have to talk about that now,” I said quickly, squeezing her hand again. “You just need to rest. You’re safe, Sasha. You don’t need to go back there- not ever.”
But she shook her head slightly, eyes half–lidded but determined. “I need… you to know,”
“And we will know… as soon as you feel better, you can tell us your story. We will be here to listen and to help you heal. I comfort her, as she sighs gently.
“I feel so tired, why is that?” Sasha breathes, her accent thick and making it hard to understand some of her words at first.
“Doctor Eli said this is normal, you’ll want to sleep this time it will be a normal sleep. One you can wake up from whenever you want.

We will still be here when you do. Kane promises, as she nods and shuffles a little.
A OD
The nurse seems to take notice, removing a pillow to lay her down a little more, as Sasha’s heavy eyes seem to flutter shut again – her body begging for a normal sleep.
“She’s slipping into a healing sleep, Kane nodded, evidently repeating what Eli must have prepared them for. This is good. Her body is no longer fighting to survive. It’s only working to recover.”
I nodded, brushing the hair gently from her face.
Erin rested her head lightly on my shoulder, and I leaned into her without a word. We sat like that in silence for a long while, the weight
of everything that had happened finally pressing in around us–but not in the way it once did. This weight didn’t feel like fear anymore.
It felt like peace.
Like the war was starting to end, at least for today.
“She’s a fighter,” Erin murmured, barely loud enough to hear.
I smiled faintly. She always was, we knew that from the minute we met her.”
Seth stepped closer to us, eyes on the monitors as if making sure they wouldn’t suddenly spike. His protective instincts were on full display, and I didn’t mind it. None of us would sleep properly tonight, not until we saw Sasha open her eyes again and sit up on her own.
But for now, this was enough.
Kane crouched down beside me, brushing hand gently over my back. “You should rest too, angel,” he said, his voice low and comforting.
“I’ll stay here.”
I shook my head. ‘Not yet.”
His brow creased in defence, but he thankfully didn’t push me. Instead, he stood and crossed to the corner of the room, speaking quietly to one of the nurses before returning with a blanket in hand. He draped it over my shoulders like a shawl, then leaned down and kissed
the top of my head.
“We’re alright, he whispered. ‘All of us.”
I nodded into his chest as he lingered there, wrapping his arms around me just for a second longer than usual.
All of us… together again.
