Sienna froze, terrified. Her hands jerked away.
Without her holding him down, Jax sank like a rag doll straight to the bottom of the pool.
“Jax!”
Wyatt dove in without hesitation. The freezing water soaked through his clothes instantly.
He swam hard, grabbed Jax, and dragged him to the edge.
“Cough… cough cough…”
Jax choked up water, coughing violently. It dribbled out of his mouth as he slowly opened his eyes and whispered, “…Dad…”
I hovered above them, tears streaming down my face.
Thank god. Thank god he’s okay.
Wyatt handed Jax off to his security team, then turned back to Sienna. The rage in his eyes could’ve burned the whole place
down.
He stalked toward her, every step dripping with murderous intent.
“What the FUCK were you doing?!”
“I was so fucking BLIND! Believed every word you said!”
Sienna crumpled on the ground, sobbing her eyes out.
“No, Wyatt, let me explain! This was ALL Delilah! She MADE me! She kept threatening me–said she’d kill me AND Jax! I didn’t
have a CHOICE-”
“SHUT UP!”
Wyatt grabbed her by the shoulders and shoved her hard onto the wet tile. The hatred pouring out of him was suffocating.
“Don’t say her NAME! Disgusting bitch like you doesn’t get to!”
The whole mansion went dead silent except for Jax’s weak coughing and Sienna’s pathetic crying.
I watched Wyatt’s face twist in agony and regret. I didn’t feel any satisfaction. Just this deep, endless sadness.
The look in Wyatt’s eyes scared Sienna stiff.
She’d never seen him like this before. All her fake vulnerability shattered in an instant.

So You Wanted Me Gone? The Comedy Show from My Ghost Perch Is Savage!
Chapter 7
She gave up pretending
“You said you’d marry me! Then gave it all to that CRIPPLE! Made me sign that shit–you even fucking CARE??
“Said I didn’t want the money, but MY kids?! They get JACK SHIT while this bastard gets EVERYTHING?! His mom was worthless, he’s WORTHLESS!”
SLAP.
The smack echoed through the whole mansion. Sienna’s head whipped to the side.
Wyatt’s eyes filled with pure disgust.
“So that’s what you wanted. Money. Only thing you ever cared about. Rotten bitch like you doesn’t deserve to be loved by
anyone.”
He pulled out his phone and called the cops.
Sienna’s eyes burned with resentment. She kept insisting it was me–that I’d threatened her, that I’d forced her into this corner.
Wyatt let out this cold, bitter laugh.
“You really love making shit up, don’t you? Delilah’s dead. How the hell could she threaten you?”
“What?”
Sienna froze like someone had dumped ice water on her.
A few seconds later, she started laughing–this wild, unhinged cackle. Tears streamed down her face.
“Wait–she’s DEAD?! She’s actually DEAD?! Oh my god, that’s fucking INSANE! I lost to a dead woman!”
She laughed until her whole body shook, her voice turning shrill and crazed.
“Whatever! At least everyone hated her when she died! Got her husband and kid to turn on her first!”
“Do you admit what you did?” The officer’s voice cut through the chaos.
Sienna’s laughter stopped abruptly. Tears kept falling.
“Yeah. I did it.”
The police took her away. The sirens faded into the distance.
The mansion was left with just Wyatt, Jax, and me–floating somewhere in between.
Jax threw himself into Wyatt’s arms, sobbing so hard he could barely breathe.
“Dad, it’s MY fault! Called Mom a burden! Said she made me SICK! I killed her!”

Chapter 7
Wyatt held his son tight, tears silently soaking into his shirt.
“Not your fault, Jax.”
His voice cracked.
“Mine. I was blind. Believed that bitch. Said horrible shit to Mom. Didn’t protect her. Let her walk out like that.”
I floated beside them, watching them cry in each other’s arms. I didn’t feel angry. Just this faint, bittersweet ache.
Later, Wyatt sold off most of the company. He kept just enough to make sure Jax would be taken care of.
They moved back to the old apartment in Queens. That wheelchair on the balcony got cleaned and polished until it looked brand new. It stayed right where I’d left it.
Jax grew up. He stopped talking about me out loud.
But he put my photo on his desk and talked to it every single day, sharing little things about his life–just like he used to when he was small.
He became quiet. Tougher. And sometimes when I looked at him, I saw myself in the curve of his eyes.
The day Jax got into college, Wyatt drove him to campus. At the gates, all he said was, “Take care of yourself.”
Then he turned and left.
Moved to some cabin in the middle of nowhere. No phone. No people.
I watched him waste away in that place. Every day looked the same–sitting there, staring at nothing, barely eating.
His face got old so fast. Guilt carved into every line. Like he was waiting to die.
The wind blew gently, carrying the weight of all those years.
My soul grew more and more transparent. All those memories started drifting away with the breeze.
I finally let go.
Sunlight filtered through the leaves, warm and soft.
My shadow dissolved into tiny points of light and scattered into the air.
