My eyes burned as I was buried in Kade’s warmth, and scent. I didn’t realize how much I’ve missed him until this moment.
Every day, when I called and his brothers told me he hadn’t woken up, I wanted to go find Raines and shoot him.
The bastard has been charged with kidnapping and his colonel’s badge has been taken away, everything stripped away from him. The same with Medea, but her charges were even more than his. She’s been using drugs, add that to her mountain of charges, and she was going to spend a lifetime in jail.
She was gone. She was finally gone, and I’ve succeeded in taking everything away from her. She doesn’t have a cent to her
name.
And Papa… Papa had stepped in. I remembered the cold look in his eyes as he faced Medea and announced that all her accounts would be disabled and the money would go back to where it came from; the company.
Medea has tried to act soft then, pleading with him, saying it was all a mistake. But when she saw Papa wouldn’t budge, she went wild, screaming and cursing.
She turned to me, her eyes red. “You. You think you’ve won, haven’t you?”
“I have won, Medea,” I answered calmly, standing confidently at Papa’s side. “I said I would take everything away from you, and I have. You going to prison is a plus I didn’t see coming, but it’s a sweet plus. You’ll suffer in prison, Medea. For what you did to Luca, I’ll make sure you suffer.”
After that, Papa had stepped down and announced me as the new CEO. The rats in the company have been cleared out, and new, loyal ones are replacing them.
And now… It’s over.
“I’m so proud of you,” Kade said softly, his arms still wrapped tightly around me, his voice rough. “So proud.”
My throat tightened and I pulled away just to grab his face and slam my lips on his. He kissed me back just as roughly and fast, grabbing my ass and pressing me to him.
My hands found themselves in his hair and I ran my fingers through it, feeling the soft strands, and my throat tightened
even more.
He was here… My Kade was here.
Throughout this one week that he was asleep, I kept having nightmares. Nightmares of me watching him get shot, of the blood. Nightmares of me holding him in my arms and watching his eyes closed.
Fear. Fear was a companion anytime I woke up. I was so scared that I would just sit still for a good thirty minutes, trying to stop my shaking, and then I would call and they would tell me he was still sleeping, still breathing, and that was when t would finally breathe.
“You’re shaking,” Kade whispered as he broke the kiss, caressing my cheeks and tucking a strand of hair behind my ear.
“You’re here,” I said, my voice shaking as I ran my hand through his body, feeling.
“I am, my darling.”
“Take me to your room and make love to me, Kade.”

Our lips became glued again, moving against each other. Kade lifted me and carried me up the stairs without breaking th
kiss.
My tongue slipped into his mouth, curling around his. He tilted my head, deepening the kiss, kissing me like he was tryin to make me know that he was here.
He opened a door with his back, closing it with his leg when we got inside. Without breaking the kiss, he dropped me on t bed, resting his weight on top of me, but careful not to crush me.
1 wrapped my legs around his waist, keeping him locked to me and he stayed locked.
“Christ, I’ve missed you,” he muttered as he broke the kiss so we could catch our breath, kissing my neck. Tve missed you much, my darling.”
“You weren’t the one who spent a week in a slow torture waiting.” I said, not meaning to sound bitter, but my voice just can out like that.
“I’m sorry,” he whispered, pushing my shirt to the side and kissing my shoulder. “I’m so sorry. I wanted to stay by your sid didn’t want to leave after you’ve just-”
“Shh.” I wrapped my arms around his neck, pulling him down so I could kiss him again. “You shouldn’t apologize. I should be the one saying thank you. Thank you, Kade. You saved me.” He shook his head and I kissed him again, muttering thank you over and over again.
“We’re wasting time here,” I said after a while, a teasing smile on my face. “You haven’t even taken my clothes off yet.”
He smirked before he pulled back, raising my shirt over my head, and I helped him take it off.
He kissed the middle of my chest softly, his eyes fixed on mine as he trailed kisses down. I shivered when he kissed my naw and went even lower. I raised my hips so he could take off my skirt, my skin already tingling in anticipation, my chest heaving.
Using his teeth, he dragged my panties and I shivered in anticipation.
“So naughty,” I whispered and he grinned up at me.
“I can be even naughtier,” he purred.
“Then come on. Let’s skip the foreplay. I’m too impatient for that.”
“We’re on the same boat then.”
He climbed up my body again, pressing his clothed one to my naked one.
“I can’t be the only one naked,” I grumbled and his clothes came off in a blink. Now, we were pressed together, skin to skin, warmth and warmth.
If this were all I had left in the world, I wouldn’t mind it at all.
He positioned himself on my entrance, about to slam in but I grabbed his arm.
He raised an eyebrow.
“I want to take it slow,” I whispered, sounding nervous. “Please.”
He leaned down and kissed the tip of my nose gently, “You don’t have to beg me for that”
