Kade’s grip tightened on my jaw, his thumb brushing just below my lips. His gaze burned into mine, hot and sizzling with
tension.
“Replused by you?” he repeated, his voice low, dangerous, sexy as hell. “Belladonna, if that was the case, I wouldn’t still be feeling the taste of your skin on my tongue.”
My breath hitched slightly, but he caught it, his upper lip twitching.
Damn this man and his sweet tongue. I almost gave in, just carved and begged him to take me. But I stood my ground. Even though I was a sucker for long hair and mismatched eyes paired with a hot body, I still have to hold on to a bit of my dignity -or at least try to.
“Those are just words, mio caro marito,” I pressed, pushing him, daring him, my pulse hammering in my throat, my heartbeat a mess. We were close, but I still hoped he wouldn’t feel my chaotic heartbeat. That would be embarrassing since I was putting on a tough front. “Words don’t hold shit, Kade. So prove it. Back up those words.”
His jaw clenched. “Careful what you wish for, mia cara moglie.”
Oh, his Italian was getting good, but that wasn’t the point, Belladonna.
‘I’m not careful,” I shot back. “What have I done so far that makes you think I’m careful or I’m capable of doing such?”

And accepting defeat was admitting I repulsed him.
I saw it in his expression the moment he snapped. He closed the last bit of space between our bodies, pressing his body hard against mine, his breath hot against my cheek.
My eyes widened as I felt something hard poking my stomach. I didn’t need to look down to know what it was.
“You’re hard,” I whispered, swallowing the excess moisture in my mouth.
His thumb left my jaw, moving up and grazing the seam of my mouth, his eyes searching mine with an intensity that felt like it was stripping me bare.
Is this proof enough for you?” he asked, his voice a sexy rasp. It went straight to my head.
“Ye-“I shook my head. “No. Not at all.”
He grinned, and whatever cell in my brain that was capable of thinking melted away, and all I could think of was Kade, Kade, Kade, and more fucking Kade.
“What other proof do you need?” he asked, leaning down until I could feel his breath on my lips
“I don’t know,” I answered breathlessly. Wait, why was I suddenly breathless? Who cares? Kade was hard for me and I didn’t even touch him. “I need more solid proof”
“What else can be more solid than my hard dick?”

He held my jaw, turning my head back to him. His eyes were gleaming with something hungry as he said, “You’re cute when you act all shy.”
I blushed all the way to my hairline, my body burning. I tried to look away but he had a stronghold on my jaw, so I just moved my eyes. “Do–Don’t call me cute.”
“Fuck,” he cursed softly, leaning down and pressing his nose in the crook of my neck. As he inhaled, I felt him thickening. I swallowed hard, as still as a statue.
What was wrong with me? Why was I staying still in a moment like this? Why the fuck wasn’t I grabbing this golden opportunity with both hands?

But no matter how loud my internal screams were, my body didn’t budge.
But it jolted when I felt Kade’s tongue on my neck, wet and hot.
I shivered when he licked me, his hand tightening on my jaw. My hands finally moved and I wrapped them around his neck, my fingers finding their way into his hair. I loosened his hair, running my fingers through his waves when they were free.
He groaned, sucking my skin and I gasped.
“I never knew I could taste softness,” he growled and I felt his words vibrant against my skin. “But here we are.”
My soft touch in his hair turned into a grip and I pressed myself to him, tilting my head and giving him more access to my
neck.
He hummed low in his throat, the sound vibrating against my neck as his teeth graze my skin, not quite a bite but close enough to make me shiver.
The marks he left on me last night haven’t faded, but I needed more from him. I wanted him to leave teeth marks all over my body. I want him to suck and bite every skin he could reach.
I want. Want. What.
“Kade…” I whispered, my voice barely above a whisper. “Kade, bite me. Leave marks. Please.”
He raised his head, looking up at me with his expression dark with hunger. “What’s the obsession with biting and leaving
marks?”
“I don’t know,” I admitted. When he raised an eyebrow, I groaned in frustration. “I honestly don’t know! Don’t ask unnecessary questions and just bite me!”
I thought he wouldn’t. I thought he would pull away and call it a night. He didn’t.
While still holding my eyes, he licked the side of my neck, exactly where my pulse was hammering. He pressed his tongue to it, a look in his eyes.
“Your heartbeat’s a mess,” he purred, still licking that spot.
“It’s been that way since I set my eyes on you.”
“I’m flattered.”

I scoffed. “Like hell you are.”
He grinned again and before I could even savour the sight, he bit down.
I gasped, my head thrown back.
“Yes,” I whispered, my hand tight in his hair. “That’s it, Kade.”

He sucked on the skin when he was done, placing a soft kiss on it before he moved away from there. His lips went low, trailing kisses on my skin as they moved to my chest. He pushed my robe open, exposing my bare chest.
“I was getting ready to sleep,” I blurted, the words rushing out before my brain could put a stop to it. “I didn’t do all this for you or anything. Don’t get the wrong idea!”
His eyes met mine, a glint in their depths.
“And she says she isn’t cute,” he muttered under his breath, but I still heard.
“Hey, I’m-”
The remaining words never made it out because Kade bit my nipple.
