Chapter 10 Get a Divorce
“Hattie?”
Vivienne called out to Harriett instinctively.
Harriett immediately let go of Frederick’s hand and briskly darted toward Vivienne with a cheerful grin.
‘Yes, it’s me! But it’s Daddy who spotted you first.”
Both Harriett and Vivienne turned to look at Frederick at the same time.
He walked toward them with a gentle smile on his face, exuding an air of refinement.
What a coincidence, Vivienne.”
Those who weren’t close to Vivienne would usually address her as Ms. Lancaster or Mrs. Hartwell. Frederick was the only
xception.
3ut she didn’t mind. Standing up, she said, “Dr. Kingsley, it’s nice to see you here. Are you here to dine with Hattie?”
He nodded and saw the two sets of tableware.
‘Are you expecting someone?” he asked.
‘My friend has already left,” Vivienne answered.
Harriett immediately said, “Then can Daddy and I join you?”
Vivienne had been seeking an opportunity to thank Frederick for operating on Lillian, so she nodded. “Of course. This meal is
›n me.”
Harriett sat in the innermost seat, and Frederick sat opposite Vivienne.
She signaled the waiter to order again.
Frederick said, “Let’s eat what you’ve already ordered. We can always order something else later.”
She nodded.
In fact, she now preferred wine to food.
“Dr. Kingsley, do you drink?” she asked.
He smiled, pushed his glass toward her, and probed, “Anything bothering you?”
She sipped some wine and said, her voice slightly bitter, “Not really. It’s just… I’m a bit at a loss after seeing someone’s true

nature and figuring certain things out.”
He listened intently and then comforted her gently, “Maybe it’s all part of fate.
“Think about it this way-you were supposed to find out the truth because it was time for you to move on. Instead of feeling down, you should feel relieved.”
She stared at him in a daze, thinking, “Maybe doctors are great shrinks, too.
“I no longer feel that upset.
“Indeed. Why grieving over a jerk?”
As she was lost in thought, she kept staring at Frederick, which made him pretty nervous.
His Adam’s apple bobbed as he wondered if he had blushed entirely.
“I… gotta use the restroom,” he stuttered.
As he stood up, his tall frame swayed, and he even walked in the wrong direction.
Harriett shook her head and sighed helplessly, “Daddy can be such a headache sometimes.”
Vivienne chuckled.
Hearing this, Harriett turned around, her eyes sparkling.
e, you’re the prettiest woman I’ve ever seen.”
A
Vivienne corrected her, “Hattie, that should be your mommy.”
‘But I’ve never met her,” Harriett sighed again.
Vivienne remembered the day she met Harriett and Frederick at Serenity Cemetery.
Then she asked, “Hattie, could you tell me what you were doing with Frederick at Serenity Cemetery that day?”
After recalling carefully, Harriett answered, “Daddy gave a lecture at Rivemont Institute of Medical Sciences, and I begged him to light the candles with me at the cemetery.”
Vivienne nodded, thinking, “So, they probably have nothing to do with Dr. Hayes.”
Just then, her phone rang.
It was an anonymous email.
The attachment was the original footage of her argument with Sebastian in the study.
She found it weird. Logically speaking, only Eliza had the original footage, but Eliza would never send it to her.
She called Kimberly to find out who the sender was.
Kimberly said, “I’m on it. And, Ms. Lancaster, just so you know, something weird happened. Those accounts that were maliciously smearing you got banned. Someone doxxed their real identities, and they all got doused with filthy water this afternoon. No amount of disinfectant could ever get them clean.”
Vivienne parted her lips in surprise, feeling great.
As Frederick came back, he saw her sparkling, bright eyes.
He smiled, “Something good has happened?”
She said, smiling as well, “Luck’s finally on my side.”
“You totally deserve to be lucky,” he responded.
Warmed by his words, she happily clinked glasses with him and Harriett.
Through the glasses, he stole a glance at her.
The bright light filtered through her hair, casting a soft glow on her face.
He even saw her fluttering lashes as well as the tiny mole beneath her right earlobe.
In the email, he wrote, “Now that you have the original video, you get to decide what you want to do about it. Remember-your future is in your own hands.”

With the original video and the recording, Vivienne was confident she could expose Eliza and Sebastian’s disgusting true
colors.
But the Hartwell family’s influence in Northgale wasn’t to be ignored. They had money, connections, and ruthless means.
She knew that even if she posted the truth, Sebastian would make sure it went away quickly.
On top of that, she still couldn’t get a divorce after exposing them. Therefore, she decided to do nothing for now while waiting for a better chance.
She turned on the computer and checked Corelynx Technologies’ stock price, which had hit a five-year low.
“Richard is probably pushing Sebastian to get a divorce right about now…” she thought.
Meanwhile, in the VIP suite of St. Avalon Hospital.
Sitting on the sofa, Richard glared at Sebastian sternly. “Vivienne asked for a divorce, and you didn’t agree?”
Sebastian looked at Eliza.
“Don’t look at her. I asked her to tell me,” Richard said.
Chapter ROJASET & PIVoter
Sitting in a chair, Sebastian remained silent.
He had never been close to Richard.
Noticing his silence, Richard continued, his tone leaving no room for refutation, “Take this chance to get a divorce. Then public opinion will side with you and the company entirely.”
After a few seconds of silence, Sebastian said, “I know what to do.”
Richard spat, “Yeah? What’s that? Wait for her to file for a divorce? Or cut this family off again? Don’t forget that you already Hid it once back then, all just to marry her.
You know what? If you want to disown this family, go ahead. Fine by me! Corelynx Technologies will still thrive without you, nd I can manage without having you as my son!”,
I was already late at night when Sebastian went back to Rose Manor.
ivienne was still up, but he couldn’t enter the bedroom because she had already locked the door.
na fit of rage, he had someone remove the lock.
ivienne was scrolling through tech industry updates in bed in the inner room with her headphones on at full volume.
ebastian stormed in, tossed his suit jacket aside, walked toward the bed, yanked her headphones off, and hurled them to the
oor.
en he got on top of her and kissed her hard.
