Chapter 22 You Are Not My Mom
Chapter 22 You Are Not My Mom
Frederick’s breathing became heavy for a moment. He was not sure if it was because of the pain or something else.
Vivienne’s mind went blank for a second, then she quickly opened her mouth, tilted her head back, pretending to eat the grapes casually.
She even choked on them and coughed a bit.
Frederick looked down at his two fingers. He thought they were so lucky to be stained with Vivienne’s lipstick.
He decided that he wouldn’t wash his hands tonight.
The three young guys were giggling.
“Hey, which one is sweeter, the grapes or Dr. Kingsley?”
“I think Dr. Kingsley is sweeter. He’s been taking care of her all day.”
“Dr. Kingsley, feed me some grapes, please.”
Vivienne almost blushed. She put the cards down. “Let’s end the game today.”
She was the winner, so she paid for the bill at the card room tonight.
Frederick said immediately, “I’ll pay.”
When he handed over his card to the waitress, Vivienne saw the lipstick mark on his thumb and index finger.
Her heart skipped a beat. She quickly looked away, pretending not to notice it.
She couldn’t hand over a napkin and asked Frederick to wipe off the lipstick mark that was made by her.
Frederick would wipe it himself when he saw it.
If she reminded him, the receptionist would hear and overthink it.
But the receptionist already saw it and kindly gave Frederick a hot towel.,
Frederick didn’t take it.
Vivienne didn’t understand, but she couldn’t stop thinking about it.
Doctors were usually clean freaks. Maybe Frederick thought the club’s towel was dirtier than the ingredients of the lipstick.
Leaving the club, it was dark outside.
Chapter
You Are Not My Mom
Vivienne noticed the realtor who introduced the house to her this morning was still waiting here.
Seeing Vivienne, he rushed over and said, “Miss, this house suits your style perfectly. Another client wanted to rent it today, but I didn’t give it to him. Can we sign the contract now?”
Vivienne paused for a few seconds, asking, “Is there any house in Crownvale Estates available? I wanna live there!”
The realtor was surprised, then nodded.
“Yes, yes. I know this shabby place doesn’t match your elegant style. Crownvale Estates is perfect for you…”
Vivienne laughed.
Frederick’s gaze fell on Vivienne. He couldn’t control his affection for her.
Vivienne was straightforward and confident.
How could she be so outstanding and so special? Frederick’s eyes showed admiration.
Back at the hotel, Vivienne roughly calculated how much she won today.
Over 3 million dollars.
She first transferred 80 thousand dollars to Mr. K’s bank account.
Then she added another 80 thousand dollars as a gift for his help.
After that, she paid a year’s rent to the realtor.
Finally, she sent a message to Celina, telling her she had a place now at Crownvale Estates.
The next morning, Vivienne went out.
She got a new hairstyle and went shopping at Everwood Plaza.
The salesgirl took a long look at her, then she recognized Vivienne. She warmly greeted, “Mrs. Hartwell…”
Vivienne raised an eyebrow. “I’m divorced. Call me Ms. Lancaster.”
The salesgirl was startled for a moment, but still smiling brightly.
She was worried that after the divorce, Vivienne wouldn’t spend as much money as before, and she would lose an important
client.
She didn’t expect that Vivienne would even buy more expensive T-shirts after the divorce.
Vivienne lived an even better life.
She left the clothing store and planned to buy a watch for Celina.

But first, she spotted a men’s watch in the center of the showcase.
The watch face had a classic round design, simple yet elegant, with a cool yet gentle style.
Her first thought was, it suited Frederick.
Frederick gave her a golden bell. She needed to give him something in return.
Vivienne decided to buy the watch.
But the salesperson said that this model was a couple’s watch, and the women’s version was in another section.
Vivienne bought both watches. She planned to give the female watch to Celina.
After leaving the watch store, she wanted to pick a gift for Harriett.
Harriett and Lucinda were completely different.
Lucinda was raised by Sebastian and his parents with a lot of money.
She had two rooms full of luxury clothes and bags.
Lillian taught Lucinda, “Your mother grew up in a small town with a poor background. You can’t learn from her. You’re a member of the Hartwell family, a princess, so you need to be elegant.”
So, Lucinda only cared about the price and brand of the gifts.
But Harriett was different. Even though she was a little girl, she was emotionally intelligent and was generous with good
manners.
This kid was knowledgeable and thoughtful.
Vivienne wasn’t sure what Harriett would like, so she picked a nice children’s instant camera.
After paying, Vivienne carried the gift bags and left.
A naughty kid bumped into her arms.
Vivienne was afraid the child would fall, so she reached out to hold her. But the sharp corner of a gift bag she was carrying poked the child.
The little girl started crying pitifully.
The sound of her crying was familiar to Vivienne. It was Lucinda. They didn’t see each other for a week.
Vivienne quickly put down the gift bags, crouched down, and checked Lucinda’s face. “Lucy, where are you hurt? Let Mommy
see.”
Lucinda’s crying suddenly stopped.
After a while, she recognized that it was her mother with a new hairstyle.
“I hate you. Nothing good ever happens when you’re around.”
Seeing Vivienne, Lucinda was angry. She even stopped wiping her tears and pushed Vivienne hard.
Lucinda’s words and actions hurt Vivienne deeply.
“Lucinda, you don’t call me Mom?”
“You’re not my mom anymore, Ms. Lancaster.”
Vivienne felt her heart was stabbed.
Sebastian and Eliza rushed over, and neither recognized Vivienne at first glance.
Lucinda said, “I hate Ms. Lancaster.” Then the two of them turned to look at Vivienne.
Sebastian’s deep eyes tightened for a moment.
Vivienne changed her hair back to the way it was when they first met.
Her facial features were soft, with pretty eyebrows, looking gentle and elegant.
On the ground lay a men’s watch, a brand he liked.
Sebastian curled up his lips slightly.
Vivienne got a haircut he liked and bought a watch he liked…
Sebastian thought Vivienne spent the money Celina gave her on pleasing him. Was she trying to win him over now?
