Chapter 26 I Fell for My Upstairs Neighbor

Lucinda attended this school last summer vacation, and the teachers were very good to her. She was looking forward to coming back this summer.

Vivienne instinctively searched for Lucinda’s figure.

Lucinda saw her, but turned her head away.

Vivienne also turned her head away.

Just as she was about to walk away, she heard the teacher, Clara Delgado, calling.

“Lucinda’s mom, aren’t you worried about your daughter? She has been very well-behaved today.”

Vivienne couldn’t ignore the teacher. That was too rude.

She replied with a smile, “Thank you for taking care of her.”

“No problem. It’s my work.”

Clara squatted down to guide Lucinda.

“Lucy, you saw your mom first, so I also noticed her. But why don’t you say hello to your mom? In any case, when you see your mom, you can’t ignore her, okay?”

Hearing Clara’s words, Vivienne thought of her own mother, some tears welling up in her eyes.

As Lucinda was hesitating whether to call out to her mother, a chubby little boy said, “My dad told me Lucy’s mom is a criminal. Her mom was taken to the police station before.”

The children’s faces changed instantly, looking at Lucinda strangely.

Lucinda quickly explained, “She’s not my mom. My dad divorced her. I don’t know her.

“Go away. Why do you come here? You make me so embarrassed.”

Clara tried to comfort agitated Lucinda and apologized to Vivienne awkwardly.

It had nothing to do with the teacher. Clara didn’t need to apologize.

However, Vivienne felt even worse now.

Among the noisy children, a pure and innocent girl’s voice suddenly rang out.

“She’s not a criminal. Vivienne is a good person.”

Vivienne saw Harriett walking out from the back, with the pink camera hanging around her neck.

Harriett walked straight to the chubby little boy, speaking clearly and seriously. “My dad also told me, Vivienne was framed by bad guys. Those bad guys will be punished. None of them will get away.”

Vivienne was excited.

She walked past Lucinda and went to Harriett, bending over to hug her.

“You’re really an angel.”

Harriett hugged Vivienne back.

She felt the scent of Vivienne was like flowers and trees. Harriett really liked her smell.

Just now, the teacher mentioned that Vivienne was Lucinda’s mom. Hearing this, Harriett was so envious.

So, Vivienne had a daughter, but Harriett also wanted to be her daughter!

Vivienne didn’t rush to leave. She fed the swans with Harriett, and her mood improved significantly.

They took many photos together, and the swans even swam up to them.

The children came to feed the swans with Harriett, saying that Vivienne looked like Harriett’s own mother.

Lucinda was left alone. Her face turned red with anger.

She disliked Vivienne, but she didn’t allow Vivienne to be other people’s mom.

When Sebastian came home after work, Ivy told him that Lucinda started crying as soon as she got back from school, and she refused to tell the reason.

Sebastian always doted on his daughter.

Seeing Lucinda’s swollen eyes, he wished he could immediately find out the person who bullied his daughter and teach them a

lesson.

Lucinda said it was Vivienne who made her feel ashamed in front of her classmates, and Vivienne wanted to be a new

classmate’s mom.

Sebastian was extremely furious.

He drove to Crownvale Estates again.

This time, he didn’t say he was looking for Vivienne, but told the security guard he was a network engineer from Corelynx Technologies.

He came to check the stability of the smart system at night.

Ten minutes later, he arrived at Vivienne’s door.

Vivienne was having a video meeting with the vice president of Hexalith Semiconductor.

Hearing the continuous sound of the doorbell, she thought it was someone from the cafeteria delivering pomegranates.

She apologized to the vice president of Hexalith Semiconductor and asked him to wait for a minute, quickly going to open the door.

Seeing it was Sebastian, she immediately closed the door.

Sebastian quickly blocked the door and forcefully pushed it open, walking in.

“Get out!” Vivienne angrily asked him to leave.

Sebastian was also angry. His tone was harsh.

“Gambling with the thugs from Mistveil Alley. You’re really impressive.”

Vivienne didn’t know the identities of those three young people, and she didn’t intend to investigate them.

They meant no harm to her. Instead, the man in front of her was the real villain!

“Finished talking? Get out!”

Sebastian gritted his teeth, barely holding back his anger, and asked again, “Did you go find Lucy? Did you hold another girl and didn’t hold Lucy, making her embarrassed?”

“You got the custody of her, and it’s her who doesn’t want me to be her mom. How can you blame me?” Vivienne retorted.

“Because you hurt her. She cried for three hours, and even her eyes were swollen,” Sebastian said.

“Then you should apply a cold compress to her eyes at home, instead of coming here to cause trouble.”

Vivienne’s eyes were filled with sarcasm. She raised her head and refused to back down.

Sebastian used to like her attitude.

But now he wished he could shatter Vivienne and reshape her.

The phone on the wall rang, easing the tense atmosphere.

“Ms. Lancaster, I asked your neighbor to bring you the pomegranates.”

Pomegranates? Sebastian remembered that when Vivienne was pregnant with Lucinda, she loved pomegranates.

He had Ivy prepare one for Vivienne every day. He even jokingly said they didn’t need to think hard about their daughter’s nickname, and they could just call her Pomegranate.

Thinking about the old memories, Sebastian’s anger subsided a lot.

He spoke in a more generous tone, “Move out of this house. Considering you are Lucy’s mother, I can allow you to move back

to Rose Manor.”

Vivienne was unmoved. “That place makes me disgusted. Get out, and don’t disturb my life again.”

Sebastian’s veins bulged. “What kind of life do you have now?”

“Sweet life! I fell in love with my upstairs neighbor. I fell for him at first sight. In twenty-two days, you and I will get divorced, and I will propose to him right away!”

“Bang!” Something fell to the ground.

The sound didn’t come from inside, but from outside the door.

In other words, besides her and Sebastian, there was a third person here.

Vivienne slowly turned her head.

Frederick was standing there, with pomegranate seeds scattered on the ground.

He looked at Vivienne in disbelief, and his body stiffened.

After a moment of hesitation and surprise, his calm eyes looked at the furious Sebastian.
