Chapter 10
Liam’s eyes widened, as if he could already see the good times ahead.
He nodded with feigned coolness, impatiently counting down the time.
After three minutes, Liam took out his phone to transfer money.
Under everyone’s gaze, the words “Insufficient Funds” echoed throughout the entire venue.
He switched from one card to another, each either frozen or showing insufficient balance.
“How is this possible?! This has to be fake! You’re all lying to me!” He frantically pulled at his hair, unable to believe what was happening.
Liam suddenly thought of something and dialed his family’s number. “Dad, where’s the money in my account? I’m doing big things here, you know! Hurry up and transfer money to me!”
Ridiculously, Charles Reed’s roar came through the phone clearly for everyone to hear, “You little
bastard, all the family money has been frozen! You better not cause me any trouble during this
time! Otherwise, don’t call me dad anymore!”
After the call ended, Liam stared at his phone with an ashen face, unable to process what had happened for a long time. “What the hell is going on?”
My father chuckled coldly and put his arm around Liam’s shoulder. “Kid, a bet’s a bet. Don’t worry, I’ve always been law–abiding. I won’t make you do anything illegal.”
Leo walked up with a smile, cheerfully escorting both Liam and Alex away.
The farce was finally over.
On the way home, I was bursting with curiosity. “Dad, how are you going to deal with those two?”
My father looked at me speechlessly. “Sweetheart, how are you more gangster than me? This isn’t called ‘deal with‘–this is educational love. I contacted the Morgan and Reed families. In exchange for investment, I got ten–year contracts on them. AAt least from now on, they wouldn’t dare cross me. Who knew both families were such cowards–willing to abandon their own children for money. Your dad would never do such a thing as selling out his child for glory!”
He snorted proudly and ruffled my hair with his big hand.
I smiled and linked my arm through his, watching the scenery flying by outside the window.

Yes, Dad would always be the person who loved me most in this world.
No exceptions.
Just like that, Liam and Alex became janitors at my family’s auction house.
All the men’s restrooms fell under their jurisdiction.
Alex resisted at first–she was a woman and shouldn’t have to clean smelly men’s bathrooms.
Leo looked at her meaningfully upon hearing this and slapped her assessment report against her face. “You’re transgender, psychologically identified as male. How could you have resistance to men? Besides, you’ve been in plenty of men’s restrooms doing dirty things, haven’t you?”
Alex mumbled for a long time, wanting to say something, but shut her mouth when she saw the
video in Leo’s hand.
It was footage of her and Liam doing dirty things in the bathroom.
“This video is exclusive news. You wouldn’t want it appearing at an auction, would you? I can’t guarantee what might happen then. The Morgan family, risen from the dead–would they become precarious again because of this video?”
Alex didn’t dare gamble.
Working honestly here might still give her a chance to return to the Morgan family.
But if she really angered these people who did bad things without blinking, her life would be over!
She accepted it, and Liam accepted it too.
At first, he still hoped to run into me and soar to success.
Unfortunately, whenever Liam so much as mentioned my name, someone would suddenly appear and beat him up.
Mention it once, get beaten once.
Soon, Liam learned to keep his mouth shut and distance himself from me.
I saw them again two years later.
Thanks to the Reed and Morgan families, my father’s gray industries had successfully transformed and even gained a solid foothold.

Now, I was the chairman of the well–known Moon Enterprises.
Faced with my father’s constant pressure to get married, I always laughed it off. “Dad, haven’t you heard that saying?”
“What saying?”
I said, “Being love–brained can be deadly!”
“Sweetheart, life is still more important. Dad will never pressure you to find someone again!”
