Chapter 16
Enver Andrius‘ Pov
“I feel like I was living in the past,” I silently said while staring at Milan who was busy watching the people while tuning up the engine of a sports car. “You didn’t plan this, right?” I turned my head to Dashiel standing beside me who also looking at Milan.
“I already told you a couple of times,” he said. “I am not the one who planned this. Why don’t you ask Castiel? She was the one who called the store and get a reservation. And she is also the one who gave that reservation to Milan.”
I frowned. “Casty?”
He nodded. “Though, I was thinking that she only gave that reservation to Milan in the hope that she would meet Lancelot there and not me.”
From what I know, that store is where Lancelot and his partner always eat lunch since it is also a couple of blocks away from their building.
Ferry and Castiel are Milan’s friends. And they always do everything for her, ever since her parents died. So, I am not surprised that Castiel did that to help her gain more information about Lancelot.
Besides, those two girls also did everything they can to hide Milan from me since that is what she wants.
Ferry even took advantage of my situation back then and lent me a huge amount of money to start the Raiden in exchange for a promise from me of leaving Milan alone.
And I did take that promise because I need that money.
But because the public accepted my company well, I manage to pay that debt sooner than expected and I took that advantage to watch every move they do for me to find Milan
But they choose to cut their communication with her right after that just to keep her hidden from me.
And that made me realize that she didn’t want me to find her because even though I did everything in the past five years, I was never able to know her location.
I didn’t even expect that my new secretary will be the reason for my unexpected meeting again.
“But seriously, I also feel like we are in the past,” Dashiel said as he looked at Milan. “We are like this before, right? When we are still in college. We often sneak outside the university whenever there was a racing event here so we could watch.”
I nodded and looked at Milan again.
Cars are the reason why I met her.
I saw her looking at the car magazines in our university library. And in my curiosity, I approached her and asked her if she know something about the cars that she was looking at.
She said she doesn’t know anything about cars but she wants to know something because one of her friends has a huge interest in that kind of thing.
She wants to give some effort into knowing her friend’s interests but in the long run of looking at it, she didn’t expect that it would also catch her interest.
And since I have also been interested in cars ever since I was a child, and I never saw a woman who wants to know anything about cars, I started telling her what I know about the cars that are featured in the magazines that she holds.

That is when our friendship started.
We often see each other in the library and we talked a lot about each other, not just about the cars anymore. And we realized that we started enjoying each other’s company.
Until we both fell in love with each other and started dating until we get married.
And going to this kind of event is one of our bonding whenever I am not that busy with my work.
But our relationship also ended because of the mistakes that I wouldn’t be able to tell her personally.
“She will not disappear again after three months of being your secretary, right?” Dashiel asked.
I didn’t say anything because, to be honest, I don’t know if can make her stay again. And I am sure, I am not the only one who will get sad if she disappears again.
I know Milan didn’t think that she and Dashiel don’t close but to be honest, she is his first love.
Yeah, my best friend also fell in love with my wife.
But I did know that right after Milan and I announce our relationship. And Dashiel personally admitted that to make sure that our friendship will never get severe over something like this.
He first met Milan before me.
He was sitting in Milan’s class because he has back subjects that he needs to fix before graduating.
At first, he was just interested in her because her friends are protecting her too much from me who wants to talk to her. But then, as the day passed, he didn’t expect that even though he was just looking at her from afar, he slowly fell in love with her.
But he didn’t dare to come near her or even confess his feelings for her. He is afraid that Milan will look at him like he was the worst person in the world since his reputation in our university is not that good.
He was just contented with loving her from afar, seeing her every day.
And I think that was the time that he stopped entertaining girls that almost beg to him just so he could accompany them. But he did become a good boy so I think, his feelings for Milan are real.
He only started dating random women again when I introduce her to him and announced my relationship with Milan.
And because he is such a good friend, he let go of his feelings and respect our relationship. But at the same time, he also told me that he would probably become extra nice to her because that is the only thing that he could do for
her.
Well, I don’t mind that. I trust him and Milan. Even though they become close, I am sure that they will never break my heart.
And when Milan and I got married, he already told me thate is already moving on from her and was genuinely happy for the both of us.
He accepted that his feelings will never reach her and he just wanted to stay as her friend.
And that is why even he gets hurt when Milan suddenly disappears. He also begged Ferry and Castiel to tell him where she is but those two women were so heartless.
Now that we finally see her again, I know that he is also worried about her since we don’t even know anything about what happened to her these past few years.
“Did you already talk about what happened?” he asked.

I shook my head. “I don’t dare to even ask that,” I silently said. “I might scare her if I open that topic and she might think of hiding again from me.”
“But you need to tell her,” he insisted. “If she knows the truth, I am sure that she will decide to stay now.”
I shook again my head. “I don’t think this is the right thing to do for that,” I stared at Milan. “Three months. I have that long to be with her so in the meantime, I want to herish those days with her without scaring her.”
I have known this woman so I know that this situation is not really in favor of her. But because she always values her promise to a friend, she will do everything she can to fulfill it.
Even if it means that she needs to face me and work under me despite the past that we have with each other.
“Well, if that is what you want, I don’t think I have the right to meddle.” He pats my shoulder and comes near Milan who still enjoys what she is watching.
There is nothing that can hurt me if I will just slowly tell her everything. I can wait and I can just hope that she will understand everything and come back to me.
